In Australia we call that a "coward's punch."
He needs anger management and a lifetime ban from attending the school among with his criminal charges.
Also welfare checks on his family, because if he lashes out with such little provocation in public, imagine what he does behind closed doors.

Yep. He needs to be officially trespassed from the school so that he's arrestable if he ever shows up.

His son looks like he started the incident on the court by pushing the other kid who was trying to back step. Apparently, that bad apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Assuming the Dad is the father of the little punk kid in the white jersey that was instigating, no surprise where he gets it from. I hope the Dad is put in jail for assault, he didn't even shove or hit the ref that put his hands on anyone...

He should have a permanent restraining order and ban from all student sports.
Had the referee died it would be manslaughter. He's very lucky.

When you’re 31 years old 6 foot 6 and you have to bum rush attack a 72 year old referee from the back. The ref didn’t even see big goofy sad dad coming for him. His back faced him the whole time. Helicopter dad should be banned from all sporting events
