It would’ve been nice if Sesame Street to invite Raul Julia back as Rafael to attend his friend, Luis and Maria’s wedding in 1988. But unfortunately, it’s not to be. Rafael would’ve been proud of his friends, Luis and Maria.
This was not Raul's only time on PBS. Several years later, he was in the movie "Overdrawn at the Memory Bank" for the TV series "American Playhouse". That movie would later be riffed on "Mystery Science Theater 3000".
Yup, he was great in that movie, as an Italian racer, he drove a Ferrari Daytona (a real one) and his buddy had an AC Cobra, in the Gumball movie. David Carradine of Kung Fu fame was also in it, I think he drove a rare Firebird Trans Am Super Duty 455 in it, too. Great cast and awesome movie.
Raul Julia was one of my favorite actors. He was so immensely talented. He is sorely missed in todays world.

RIP Susan and Rafael the Fix It Man (Raul Julia), nothing beats the classic 1969-1993 episodes of Sesame Street.

I wasn't born when Rafael was around in Sesame Street but he sure was a great guy.
The only great thing in the Street Fighter movie was his M. Bison, entertained every time i think about his M. Bison.
He chewed the fuck out of every scene in that horrible movie... Glorious.

You may just be hearing his accent. Spanish accent is different than Mexican.

I hear = oido
As I understand it, oreja is the outer part of the ear 👂, while oido is the inner part that does the hearing. They make a distinction in Spanish
