One of the best tips you gave years ago "little goes a long way" and "less is more" especially on mature skin like mine. At the age of 49 I can honestly say that my make up is a mysterious to some people, it is visible and Invisible at the same time . A lot of women ask me what I do. Wayne was the first person I started watching as a 13 year old and I still use his techniques and I’m 19 now 🥺. The best technique is using the brush then sponge it on for 6 minutes. He’s the best

My skin can't decide what it wants to be. Dry in some places, oily in others and flakier than puff pastry! I'm thinking it would be easier to just invest in a pile of paper bags and some felt tip pens!
I think apply with fingers, tap gently and really work it in on the side of noses, then blend with damp sponge, apply in thin layers. Same concept but different application, and your skin has to be completely moisturised
@@spookylovely Good technique tips, but for those of us with that desert-dry, flaky skin, "completely moisturized" doesn't really seem to exist (at least in my experience!) so no matter how gentle you are, how much exfoliating you've done, or how much moisturizer you've applied and let soak in, flaky makeup is unavoidable... :(

Wayne,.not sure if you ever read the comments but I'm hoping you can someday address specifically on and around the corners of the nose. That is always where it excentuates pores, creases, and wears off the quickest.
Yes! I literally just said this same comment! I wish we knew a way to teach the foundation on our noses to stay put! Lol It's like "Foundation, why are you leaving my face already? Nobody told you you were dismissed yet. Sit back down, we still have a bunch of work to do!" 😂
After this tutorial, I immediately tried it, and I’m amazed. I looked poreless and I covered my face (a big, long face) with one pump! And because it’s dry I see how you don’t need to bake with powder. I just dusted where my face tends to shine. I feel snatched.
Yet another great instructional video and looking fab in 4K. Could watch you all day long 😍 I always use your tips!! Being 40 and trying to do make up like my teens would have never worked and looked awful. Now thanks to you I can finally achieve a natural look again xx

I love videos like this!! Also, hi, dry skin here, and a technique i learned from watching korean muas about how to make foundation stick to the skin without buffing it too much is apparently to apply a thin layer of foundation with a brush then dabbing it lightly with a sponge all over until they set, then move on to apply a next layer only on areas where you need more coverage (there's a lot more to this technique, including the trick to dipping the brush right into foundation but I suck at explaining with words only TT)
Foundation with a brush! YESSSSSS Am I the only person with a beauty sponge that is unused and unloved. Great technique reminder. Dot and blend. Thanks Mr G!
The way Wayne does makeup it’s art itself, it’s realistic, it’s natural, it’s graceful, nowadays every “beauty guru” it’s using like half a bottle of foundation and I’m like plz stahp🥲
Thank you do much for this video. Watched it last night and used this technique today. No more slippery feeling, or tacky skin all day. So pleased. Thank you Wayne so much. Love your videos.
I just tried this technique on my skin which is combination one this morning. And it gave me wow result. My skin looks totally natural, after around 5 minute it start give oil but the foundation layer still stay. Now I found me online teacher. Thank you so much.
I am seriously amazed at the amount of real skin you've shown us in this video. Thank you soooo much for helping real gals learn how to really blend their make up.

My skin is sooo so dry and can not use a brush. Can you make a video for us (aging dry skin) desert dwellers which includes skin prep and then foundation technique?
I've avoided using foundation because i am intimidated by the amount of foundation i see other beauty gurus use...now this method, i can at least try. Thank you! 💐 p.s. your skin looks gorgeous!
I just watched this - late to the show - but I had to say thank you for this video! I tried this technique immediately after watching and I was blown away at what a difference this makes!! And my makeup lasted so much longer!! I'm so used to just dipping my brush and not touching my face, but this is such a great tip.

Heard that as well, brush or fingertips. I’m assuming sponge as well, but I never liked them, either. Maybe I’ve not come across one that works for my particular needs, because I always found the sponge absorbed more than it left on my face, regardless of how wet the sponge was.
Wayne, I luv your authenticity! I can't see sh^* without my readers/glasses these days. And applying makeup without my 10x magnifying mirror is super scary. I can really relate to what you are saying. Looking back on the messes I have had on my face because I couldn't see what I was doing cracks me up!😆 Thanks for being you, and another helpful video!
Thanks for the great tips. I’ve been applying foundation directly to my brush, which explains my heavy looking application. Will try layering dots directly to my face and then go in with my brush 👍🏻👍🏻

And to make the day even better I've just managed to get my hands on the Topaz Palette as well as ordering the new Radience Palette!! 😍 so so happy!!
Been here since the beginning, I’m older now so I don’t always watch your videos on time when they come out. I still enjoy them so much. I learn from every single one of them. I’m so happy you never left RUclips 💚
I appreciate that
Don’t know what I’d do without you...wait that’s not true. Without Wayne I would still look unintentionally like an extremely overdone 80’s streetwalker while thinking that I look very beautiful and classy. Thank you Wayne!!

You're not the only one - I've never gotten the hang of beauty blenders.
Me too..... I use it to pat on setting powder now
I love your realness. Thank you for filming this in 4k without filters!!
Wayne Goss,Hindash and Robert Welsh are the only people I take makeup advice from.. no Instagram influencers no random RUclips make up gurus👏🏻
The ONLY video you need to learn how to apply foundation..after years and years of YT. WAYNE you’re the best ily ❤️
I absolutely adore the fact that he doesn't use a ton of products for an impecable look. 🥰
I like how you apply make up your own way instead of the same way all these beauty influencers do.. so real and genuine 😊
I have all your brushes and love them. I didn't know I could use the fan brush for setting powder! Gonna try this technique today
Thank you for showing us in 4k with no filters, it's nice to see normal skin with pores.
I have been watching Goss for yearrrrrs and he truly is perfection at his craft!
i did this in the morning with my fingers and the results were sooo lovely
I just tried this technique on my skin which is combination one this morning. And it gave me wow result. My skin looks totally natural, after around 5 minute it start give oil but the foundation layer still stay. Now I found me online teacher. Thank you so much.
"just sprinkling a little bit of summer where you want it" Love that :)
I am seriously amazed at the amount of real skin you've shown us in this video. Thank you soooo much for helping real gals learn how to really blend their make up.
I aspire to have that level of buffing skill and patience when doing my own makeup. I am the poster child for just throwing it on and going when it comes to doing my own makeup.
Wayne please know how much you are loved! You are such a wonderful genuine person.
My skin is sooo so dry and can not use a brush. Can you make a video for us (aging dry skin) desert dwellers which includes skin prep and then foundation technique?
dr dray on youtube has been a lifesaver for me 🙌 shes a dermatologist and always includes affordable products that work wonders
I've avoided using foundation because i am intimidated by the amount of foundation i see other beauty gurus use...now this method, i can at least try. Thank you! 💐 p.s. your skin looks gorgeous!
He is so knowledgeable and classy! Truly the best😊
I love his personality, aside from his obvious professional beauty knowledge, he told the camera to Focus! I just love the Goss Way...
The imaginary hair sweep ❤️😂✨
You’re the best on RUclips hands down no one is like you no one is as good and as honest as you
The video quality is..... impeccable!! 😭👌❤
Truly beautiful result!
These 4k videos are like 1-to-1 teaching.
literally all my best make up tips and routines come from you. I can't wait to try this!
I do the same exact thing but with concealer and it looks beautiful. However, I never would have used concealer if it wasn't for Wayne. Thank you!!
I just watched this - late to the show - but I had to say thank you for this video! I tried this technique immediately after watching and I was blown away at what a difference this makes!! And my makeup lasted so much longer!! I'm so used to just dipping my brush and not touching my face, but this is such a great tip.
Wayne: "Come on, focus, stupid!"
Me: "Alright, i'm focusing here"
Nice! Definitely convinced me to use a brush instead of fingers. I love that his tutorials are true, showing skin texture, no filters. 👍🏻
Love 💕 all the tips from Wayne he is so good at what he does one of the best make-up artist! Hugs! Wayne & thank you for the foundation tip & brush application.. I just got schooled 🤦🏻♀️
I would love a video for people with dry skin. I have rosacea and dry skin and would love a representation on your videos please!
why quality genuine videos have less viewers! we are lucky to have you Wayne, gratefully from Paris
Wayne, for dry skin, did you mean use a sponge or fingers not a brush?
Heard that as well, brush or fingertips. I’m assuming sponge as well, but I never liked them, either. Maybe I’ve not come across one that works for my particular needs, because I always found the sponge absorbed more than it left on my face, regardless of how wet the sponge was.
Great tutorial. Lovely that you can hear Wayne's cat meowing in the background! So sweet!
