Hey thanks for the comment, you will need to have the movement in the camera, otherwise you’ll need to use masking (we have a masking tutorial on the channel)
Hitchcock is often credited with using an object for transitioning during the filming of "Rope". From the film's Wiki page; "Every other segment ends by panning against or tracking into an object-a man's jacket blocking the entire screen, or the back of a piece of furniture, for example. In this way, Hitchcock effectively masked half the cuts in the film." BTW, James Stewart was not overly enamored of Hitchcock's groundbreaking techniques during the making of this unique film. ;)
