I rode one of these around India for 4 months back in '93... from Delhi to Gokarna, Goa, back to Delhi, Simla, Manali and Dharamsala, then back to Delhi... funtimes on a great motorbike. Great to see this video, brings back intense memories!
I had exactly the same model ❤. Miss it so much. The bike was extremely safe and built like a tank. I made 100kms in exactly 60 minutes, double-ride, pretty easily.
honestly , i enjoyed the ride and ur comments were good, u compared with the cast iron bullet and not with modern day motorcycles with all electronics. i hear many guys reviewing old school vehicles with a laugh as in they compare with their KTM's or Jap bikes which is super annoying. so Cheers to You! and hey where is this location, nice place man
I gave this bike to my brother in Delhi as 2+2 children didn't fit. I rode it in New Delhi, everyone was eyeying this at a red light as we stopped. They were so surprised when I beat them all till the next red light.
Nice overall vedio but you know it's an Ideal Jawa Yezdi CL 2 not D 250 classic , they might have mentioned D 250 classic on papers for some reasons but it doesn't make it a D 250 , as after 1984 all vehicles which have D 250 monogram are basically CL 2 only , the monogram in this particular motorcycle is a suspect as the original round shaped screws are not there , plus the chasis is also different from the original D 250 classic , this one has boxy carburettor cover which is only meant for CL 2 engine , don't take this otherwise just thought of correcting the misconception , I'll give you one full proff evidence which will prove that it's a CL 2 , just check what's written on the engine close to the carburettor cover it's written * IJ - CL -250 - _ _ _ _ _ _ *, & when you'll open up the clutch cover you'll notice that it's written D 250 as this engine is improvised version of that , make vedios on this as if it's having a CDI from factory then it's a rare Yezdi CL 2 👍.
Man...look at the engine...the d250 engine has a carb neck which suits the finned carb cover...whereas the cl2 model as in the video has a boxy carb cover...plus your saying the bike is 1991 model...D250 was stopped in 1985 and cl2 series came right after in the successive years
Bro its an old machine ... which has been registered twice ... what do yo expect it to have all the original parts intact ... that carb cover is from the newer 93 Roadking model ... the finned carb is as hard to find as the motorcycle itself . Your knwledge about this bike is great ... but always make sure to judge these classic machines asper their age ... very very hard to find an all original Yezdi these days ... you knw the rest 🤙
U dont understand...if you can find the carb neck below that carb cover then its 101 percent d250...but the boxy carb cover never suits d250 models...plus there is a particular fin shape for a d250 and cl2 engine where the carb cover meets the engine fins...i currently own a cl2 which has a machined cl2 carb cover...and some years back I had a restored d250 with me...whatever happens you never change the centre casing of the bike...and finally the years never match a 1991 d250 classic is absurd bro...sometimes you need to listen to someone who has stripped and reassembled the engine...
@@rjryezdi i guess you can see the the engine cover ... the whole engine expect the carb cover ... there was a differnce between engine cover design of all these bikes ... i guess you agree on that

I had the old 1974 Jawa. It was fun to ride around. But it dug a hole in my pocket, giving about 8km per liter of petrol.
