- Namaste, Check out this video to know my impressions about Enfield Diesel. Enfield Diesel was in production from 1990 to 2000 and this particular one is the 1997 model. Mr. Raven and his family recently restored it and still uses it on daily basis. This Bike was also rebranded in 1997 as #Taurus and was commonly known as #DieselBullet.
Thanks to Mr. Suyog Raven for inviting me to Kolhapur for this and letting me drive extensively.

My friend had this bike while I was doing my MBBS, that is some 20 yrs back. He was a student of Pharmacology. He used to go on long tours and was envied by travel enthusiasts. Sadly, he met with an accident on one such trip and passed away. If I remember correctly, soon after, Enfield stopped production of this model. This bike brings back some sad memories.

And that’s very miner problem it can be fix by spending 600-1000/- only
My dad used to own this.. and I used to sit on the tank as a child and handle the bike! My dad was a big built man at that point of time and still suffered knee injuries from the kick!(there used to be a severe back from the kick)! But the pull was amazing.. and the stock exhaust noise was such that the entire colony used to know that my dad is going somewhere! He used to extract 100+ mileage on Highways!

I had this bike when I was in my college days. My leg used to die every morning to start it m
And when it comes to winter, just forget about it. Me and my friends used to kick start it in a queue to make it start.

My brother-in-law was owning a diesel bullet on which he has travelled almost throughout India. I remember, he came to Belgaum in1995 on the same. He expired recently due to old age.

Lovely video...loads of nostalgia...thank you for letting me relive a lot of childhood memories. 90s still seems yesterday to me. I was born in 1980 and all through the 80s and 90s a lot happened in the automotive world. This was one of those interesting concepts they were working on back in the day.
Enfield was a British motorcycle brand then the company went bankrupt and eicher motors occupied it and it was renamed to royal enfield.

this is pumpset engine, fitted on motorcycle chassis,..
Actually it's motor cycle engine fitted on pump set after got weak in motor cycle.
It's an three wheeler engine now these days

Very well maintained and restored. One can say collectors item similar to the ambassador of yester years, the one before the Isuzu 1800cc engine. One thing missing in this bike are rear view mirrors, RE standard 350cc mirrors will look fine on this. Well made video with all details.

This bike is a white elephant. Maintenance of bullet is high and when it's Diesel bits much more higher. This vehicle vibrates so much that it can develop health issues to the rider. Firstly it's not eco friendly and another is the emission.this vehicle is banned in Maharashtra. I don't know if other states
it was banned in whole india not only maharashta
it is one of the king of vibrations. India have bs6 emissions now. All old bs-2(this diesel bullet), bs-3(RE Electra bullet) and bs-4(bullet 500cc) vehicles are not available or banned (we can't get new by RTO registration)
but we can still buy any second hand disesl bullet like this available on olx/quikr.com search it.

i have bullet 500, i love it.. i start it with the kick even it having the self-start button, but you can not deny that it vibrates a lot. you dont need a massager for your hands if you own a bullet.

Just relived my childhood.my uncle used to own it...bada bewakuff banaya tha unhone..winter mein Subha Subha kick Marne bhej dete the at least half n hour lagta tha garam karne..Chote the to shauk tha ki bike start kar rahe hai Ji ska bada fayda uthaya..return badi tagdi marti thi but touch wood fracture nahi hua kabhi but I really enjoyed.
