Royal Enfiled has kept it simple and has nailed it. At times i feel they should have given a keyless entry keyfob like HD does, but then again the less electronic the better, especially on a motorcycle, makes it much more robust and easy to repair. Pricing is great. The only thing RE should have done better is the seats. Yes THE SEATS. Rode for about 110kms and it wasnt as comfy as i thought i would be.
RE 650 super metero - after 7k ride 1. Vibrations - not there 2. Weight - feels when you are pulling it over. 3. Traffic - can be handled easily but you have to be most civic rider. 4. Heating issue - when you are stuck in traffic only. 5. Pillion seat - comfortable on top models, while back rest makes life easier. 6. Ground clearance- unless u hit a big bumper its okay and not an issue. 7. Rear suspension- stiff 8. Head light - useless. 9. Riding comfort - Awesome 10. Road presence- awesome . 11. Ride quality- 10/10 12. Power - great. 13. Sweet spot - 90km/h 14. Lean angle - Good. 15. If you have to ride on highways , need a week end bike ride , road presence, ride quality - it's best at 4.5 lakh

This is so apt for the Super Meteor. Very small thing which can be felt my a rider who has rode the bike genuienly and you have mentioned it. Beautiful :)

Got it 3 months ago 3000km long ride done ground clearance is not an issue when ridden with care on bumps. city mileage for office commute - 21.5 kmpl highway mileage - 27 kmpl money well spent really happy with the purchase

Agreed with the mileage City about 20 and Highway 27 n above . Which is more than I expected . I got Yamaha fz25 which wont give more than 35 on highway.
Cruisers are ironically the worst style for cruising. The low height mean the suspension has to be stiff because soft suspension will bottom out, and then the front set foot pegs means you can't stand up on your feet if a sudden potholes appears. What it means is on 120 kmph a sudden pothole will break your tailbone. Bajaj discover 125 is a better motorcycle for cruising than any cruiser, trust me.
That's why Cruisers are made in America you know? There's a reason why they have a large market there. Cruisers in India are useless and I own HD and RE SM650.
@@manav54321 because I know how to ride it and mostly the roads I use there's no issue with the GC as one of my friends owns a HD 48 which is only 110mm but still it only scraps in few places. And personally I loved cruisers how they looked I was keen to buy a Vulcan S or HD Street rod but I'm completely satisfied with the RE SM 650 and also this is my first Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Interceptor would be a better choice if you think about the back issue but that will also give a lot of strain to feet and shoulders, if you daily workout like me or even do little exercise daily SM 650 will be better choice you'll get use to it soon and won't hurt after a while but in open roads and highways there is no match not even HD. I'm an ex-HD owner who owns RE SM650 now so I can tell you these things honestly.

Tbh if u don't have issues with mileage and cost of petrol then super meteor and interceptor are best if u are little middle class then bullet classic (mostly all 350s and re bikes are best ) but if u want 650 then sm and interceptor are best
Nice bike bro. As you said the console in meteor hunter could be improved. Either it can have one big console like roadster or two equal sized console. The one on left is big and the GPS navigator is small which looks bit odd.

I know this should not be there at the very first point but let's hope and keep our trust in RE and this is my first ever RE motorcycle so I'm also a little worried but at the same time I do trust the brand.

This issue is with every SM 650 soon I'll be facing it and so as you but what I have heard and seen RE is giving a one time free replacement so talk to the service station about that and also RE is working on a solution we'll get a recall soon.

I had tail bone issues, I am owning a classic 500 and believe me I don't face any tailbone pain during my long rides on this classic 500 split seat. I have done 500 km in 8 hours although my back was fine but yes my shoulders were tired. Any broad seat which is flat will suit your condition.

If Pilonidal sinus is recurring in nature, surgery or laser ablation is the definitive treatment, out of both laser is better due to less invasive nature and faster recovery.
The problem is not smooth suspension. It's the suspension travel. There is very less space to absorb the bumps. So better suspension will probably not help. To resolve this issue you need a completely new bike i.e a scrambler format bike with the same engine. Given the success of Triumph Scrambler 400X its completely possible that a new bike from RE will probably come in 2024.
I am also suffering from pilonidal sinus brother. I have dream to do long ride in bike. Have you experienced any good bike in 3-4 lakh budget which can be good for bump so that sinus problem wont reoccur for biking.

@I_killed_that_beard_guy I am 5'8" so honestly can't say what it would be like for 5'3" . But seat height won't be an issue if you have strong legs.
