Thank you for this review. It might be a good idea to mention that not all of these features are immediately available when updating to iOS 18.1. Some of these features have to be “requested” through the Apple Intelligence and Siri menu, and others still won’t be available until 18.2.

If, like me, you are a philistine with an iPhone 12 Pro Max. And live in Australia, a lot of the features you mention aren’t available. I guess I have to upgrade to an iPhone 16?
So on my IPhone 15 Pro Max, I did not get Apple intelligence and Siri is still just the same old ball. I went into the Apple intelligence & Siri and had a link stating I would be put on an Apple Intelligence wait list. I'm getting so weary of all the hype and then still waiting.

I had the same thing took a little while. I got an alert later saying it was available and had to go back into the settings to set it up.
Set your language to English US in region and languages
Everything must be in english US
