For those of you wondering. Here is the release schedule of the remaining quicknotes guides. Please bear with me if they take a while to come out, these things are getting tedious to make =) 1.) Yea I was gonna include df+12 and b+12 but they're both kinda underwhelming when compared to 21. I'd rather use 21 for everything -12 to -13. But yea that Ext Dck+1 into d+2,1 pickup was my most proudest achievement when making this vid haha.
cutcc Yeah lol that combo was too sick. But for me it depends, most of the time I punish -10 to -13 with 112 cause it's the most damaging out of the i10-i13 punishes I think. And I think it's leads to good pressure as well with it being cancelable into some of his stances.
Yooooo Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 ost. Man nostalgia is real. Great vid btw wanted to learn steve combos for a long time but it was quite hard so i just poked my way to brawler.
EXT duck 1 gives you a guaranteed f,f+2 ALB 2 or qcf+1 or you can go for the harder option and do ws1,2 which gives you floorbreak aswell also his d+1 in PAB is 0 on hit thats not really a + frame move is it?
His d+1 in Peekaboo is +2 to +3 on hit. His fastest mid followup is a i15 move and so for the oppponent to want to stop his mid pressure they'll need to use a move i13/i12 or faster. If they want to stop his fastest high option from Peekaboo they'll have to mash crouch jab--so that creates an interesting mindgame, you can condition the opponent to want to crouch jab and go for something like Peekaboo Uf+2 to low crush. This is just my own theory of course =p
Thx! that's what i thought bcoz the only way to go into PKB after a certain move is by tapping forward.Great work man ... nice vid always.Subscribed :)
Being steve main is 8:488:49 really a combo starter or can combo i have never seen The steve players do it once i did see them however do his gatling gun pick up into it
Ext DCK+1 into D+2,1~DCK~db~Ws+1 pickup is a true combo, but it only works if you are off axis. The Ext DCK+1 into gatling gun pickup works if you are on axis. So yea, it just depends on the situation.
Hi bro your's video very helpful for us i have a little favor please make a new video with steve fox traps, strings, pressure create some kind of awesome video please bro because i am steve fox player i hope you will help me? 🙏
for steves combos when he goes into flicker stance he does this f3 f2 thing that you did and i can seem to get it at all and I use pad is there anyway to do it?
The trick is to buffer F+3 around the time you enter Flicker stance. So it's Df+1~2~1~b (at this point you're already pressing f+3 and holding f+3 so he'll go into Duck stance), from there press f+2 and he'll do DCK F+2 which tailspins.
Dude i mained steve n got him to destroyer and it was a serious struggle vs people who knows steve matchup can easily counter him because he needs to be up close to utilize his potential hes not unbalanced in any way, which new mid launcher are u refering to? if its uf2 that launcher isnt that good at all unlike a hopkick it has shit mobility, short range and can easily be punished on block
Steve actually has so many combos that it wouldn't fit in the video description =p. Ask me questions if you don't understand the notation, I truncated it quite a bit to avoid having to write too many commands.
Stance Key
FLK = Flicker Stance (B3+4 or by holding back after certain moves)
PKB = Peekaboo Stance (F3+4 or by holding forward after certain moves)
DCK = Duck Stance (F+3, can be buffered after many moves as well as cancelled into neutral (d/b) or other stances)
SWY = Swayback Stance (B+3//B+4, has access to a throw and 2 moves)
LWV = Left Weave (Press 3, has a couple moves out of it)
RWV = Right Weave (Press 4, has a couple of moves out of it)
ALB = Albatross (3+4, has a couple of moves out of it, can also spin twice by holding up or down, the second spin phase also has moves out of it)

Nice video mate.
Blue spark 1 to d2,1 conversion for combo was something I have never seen before.
Thanks for making this video..!!
you're the fucking man.
This guide is amazing to me short and to the point and the budokai 2 music is nice too. This helped me so much
I never seen that db1+2, 311 combo before. Or that Ext Dck1, d2,1 combo. That was so sick. I think df1,2 is a i13 punish as well as b1,2.

Thanks Cutcc! I've been looking at getting back into Steve but I never knew his proper punishes!
Yooooo Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 ost. Man nostalgia is real. Great vid btw wanted to learn steve combos for a long time but it was quite hard so i just poked my way to brawler.
I have problem doing steve screw move ducking 3,2 after flicker.
you can do ext dck f2 ws12 on block but its a lil bit hard
Nice I was looking around for some sort of conversion other than DCK f+2 but couldn't find anything. I'll keep that in mind.
Awesome vid, very helpful
Learning Steve Fox he is so good but so advanced
EXT duck 1 gives you a guaranteed f,f+2 ALB 2 or qcf+1 or you can go for the harder option and do ws1,2 which gives you floorbreak aswell also his d+1 in PAB is 0 on hit thats not really a + frame move is it?

This is just my own theory of course =p
cutcc i see all this time i thought it is 0 on hit
awesome vid, thanks alot man!
Is there a controller setup you would recommend for steve?
Very nice👍
always wanted to learn steve but he's way too hard for me man
T7 Steve is probably the easiest version of Steve thus far. If there was ever a time to get started learning him, it's now.
I also feel that you should have covered stances.
i should have seen this sooner.
Dragon ball z budokai 2 soundtrack👌
Is there a way to find the next part of this description ?
From 10-16 frames im using 112-duck~. Gives me a lot of option from there
How to do the ender at Standard Combo 4:49? I cant get to PKB from Ext Duck 1 the one with blue spark.
You'll have to go into PKB manually after Ext Duck 1--so you wait until Ext Duck 1 is done recovering and press F3+4, PKB F+2,1 as fast as possible.
Thx! that's what i thought bcoz the only way to go into PKB after a certain move is by tapping forward.Great work man ... nice vid always.Subscribed :)
the Dragon ball soundtrack is real
Pls do a Yoshi and a Feng Quicknotes!!!
Being steve main is 8:48 8:49 really a combo starter or can combo i have never seen The steve players do it once i did see them however do his gatling gun pick up into it

How do you do f21 after S! dash?
Hi bro your's video very helpful for us i have a little favor please make a new video with steve fox traps, strings, pressure create some kind of awesome video please bro because i am steve fox player i hope you will help me? 🙏
Wheres the notes on the description?
It's in the pinned comment.
@ 2:52 what key is that combo?
DCK f1+2, 1, 2, 1, 2 ...
Only so mich oil in the ground bro! Do you play budokai 3?
I do--that's probably my favorite budokai game ever ^^
Do you plan on competing in tournaments?
Yes once I gain some form of financial stability. =).
hey i really need your help do you use a ps4 controller?
I use an arcade stick, but what seems to be troubling you--I might be able to help.
for steves combos when he goes into flicker stance he does this f3 f2 thing that you did and i can seem to get it at all and I use pad is there anyway to do it?
it would be verty much appreciate if you had any tips on how to do it cause that is a string id really like to learn
The trick is to buffer F+3 around the time you enter Flicker stance. So it's Df+1~2~1~b (at this point you're already pressing f+3 and holding f+3 so he'll go into Duck stance), from there press f+2 and he'll do DCK F+2 which tailspins.
cutcc so i dont have to wait for him to fully go into flicker stance? more importantly i dont have to hold back?
how much effort does this video take and how much views it gets 😭😭😭 very disappointing
steve is so unbalanced in this game. he got so many buffs while others got nerfed
No hes not hes balanced, has no great lows or great range he relies on counterhits more than any other character
BoONeo yes he relies on ch but he got a new good mid launcher and his punishment has been buffed compared to TTT2. It is very hard to fight him.
BoONeo it’s true it’s hard to play him not easy at all and it’s not like he’s Broken not to many good lows too man he takes skill to play
