I think that the 68/69 lemans is the purest, most beautiful of all the Pontiac bodies. No scoops, no hood tach, just clean lines. Have one of those chrome front bumpers in my garage. A 68 350 4 speed car was my mom's first new car. $2800 new. Sadly many were converted to gto clones. A legend.
Man,you just don’t see those around anymore. I used to have a’72 Lemans with a ‘70 front end on it back in the 80s. Got in a high speed chase with the cops in it at 20 years old. I got chased for 9 kms through town and outran them but a citizen phoned me in when I stashed the car in a random driveway at midnight. Got jail time and lost my license for five years,gave the car away to an auto wrecker shortly after getting out of the bucket. Wish I still had it. 😢
In my book if you got away how could they prove it was you behind the wheel when they found you and the car later? That's rough. Thanks for sharing your story.
@@j.davidtaylor2565 well what’s funny is, I didn’t even have insurance at the time, just a day use permit and that’s why I took off because it was late at night. Me and my buddy took off but I gave up when they were going to bring the dogs, I thought I would just get a bunch of fines, not jail time. My car was registered in this friend of mines name at the time and they would have called her and she would have told them who the owner was anyway. No biggie, spent almost 9 months in the big house, no license and no car when I got out. 😎 it was 35 years ago now, feels like ten.
Is your 6.0 fully built? Also what are you running for a transmission? That’s such a mean setup I’m crazy jealous. Maybe do a video on the build, I bet a lot of people would be interested
