Spoiler Warning… I was rooting for Blue and I thought they were going to lose. But they made an insane comeback thanks to RNJesus giving them those Frigates. Awesome to watch.
Yeah I got to say, the Grey marbles made it hard to predict anything; yeah, I get that's the point for randomness, but it felt like either the fleet numbers were being punished, or the fleet quality was severely hampered. It took a crisis mode activation that just happened to get the Grey marbles separated enough to spawn an armada of the toughest ships to completely wipe the map with red's fleet :/
Suggesting units isn't super useful for this series but my brain suddenly barraged me with ideas for weapons/abilities that you could maybe hold onto as ideas for when/if you further expand the ship roster. I have a lot of random ideas for weirder stuff because of how fast my brain was running but frankly this is probably way more than you'll ever need for this series. Hit me up if you want to hear any of the stranger stuff but this comment is already plenty long. Weapons (in roughly increasing order of size) Plasma Blaster/Blaster: similar to regular cannons but with a lower rate of fire and a projectile that is a little larger and moves much faster+hits harder Laser: "hitscan" weapon that sweeps in a line across the intended target, can hit other enemies that get in the way of the laser but doesn't pierce. Torpedos: similar to missiles but with little to no curving ability and deal immense damage on hit. Intended for being good against frigate+ sized ships. Nova Bombs/Bombs: slower than torpedos/missiles with no curving ability but upon hitting a target or their maximum range explode into a hard hitting AoE explosion. Intended to be fired into dense strikecraft swarms to take out lots of smaller ships at once. Ionizer: plasma projectile that instead of dealing damage causes an AoE field that disables the engines of hit enemies for a second or two so that they can't accelerate. Buzz Drones/Drones: as projectiles act sorta like missiles with better turning that can be shot down by regular ships. Will stick to enemies and once they do will repeatedly melee attack them until destroyed. If a drone outlives its target, it will disconnect and launch towards new enemies. Interceptors and bombers will treat them as valid targets maybe. Proton Beam/Beam: a very slow firing chargeup weapon that fires a large blast projectile that keeps going until it dissipates at its max range, dealing heavy damage to everything that gets hit. Systems (would mostly only go on larger ship types I think) Energy Shields: mostly transparent bubble around relevant ships that absorbs damage. Regenerates over time, even once depleted fully. Takes reduced damage from hitscan weapons like railguns and lasers and AoE explosions like bombs and ions+stops them from hurting the ship if explosion was from outside, doesn't stop slow projectiles like missiles and torpedoes from passing through and hitting the hull. Point Defense Cannons: similar to the regular cannon guns except with noticeable spread/inaccuracy, greater rate of fire, and the ability to hit slow projectiles like missiles. Each PDC should try and specifically focus targets/incoming projectiles so that they're not covering everywhere at once (this way more bombers attacking at once means the PDCs can't catch as much of what's coming in) Jump Drive: Ability that lets a large ship and all the smaller ships around it jump right to another fight/group of enemies if there's no enemies within normal targeting distance. If multiple ships with jump drive are within each others' radius, everything in all the radiuses jumps together. Has a chargeup time so they don't jump instantly as soon as enemies are dead/cant spam jump between multiple fights. Repair Bays: Smaller ships that are not currently fighting (aren't targeting anything and aren't being targeted by anything) and are damaged can 'dock' by the ship for a little bit to be healed back to full.
Spoiler Warning ... I am disappointed, I was rooting for red and just when I was delighted for their impending victory, blue pulls out some bullshit move and destroys red's mothership in the last minute.
Noice. Perhaps you could add a small turret to the bombers, like what the Y-wings in Star Wars had. It'd have to be weaker than the Interceptor guns, but it'd be amazing to watch.
This series is very very nice and the changes you made this time are awesome! Even better zone out to pretty colors material. That said I get the sneaking suspicion the hardest part of making this series is going to be getting the main camera to work right :U Couple of tidbits: The frigates are awesome! I didn't know if you wanted to add larger ships to the spawn lineup but I'm very happy you did. I think the motherships probably need better point defenses so that it's harder for a large fleet of lesser ships to camp one all the way to death in one rush, it should take holding the advantage for an extended period or multiple "captures" to wipe out a bar, not just one and done. With the changes since last time, I think it might a good idea to give the smaller ships spawn multipliers like you do in trench war. My immediate thought is something like x6 interceptors, x5 bombers, x4 hunters, x2 gunships, x1 frigates. Though that lineup would probably require majorly buffing motherships and probably making frigates a little bit more durable than they already are.
Hmmm.. Can you make 4 Colors on Space Wars.. I think that might be cool if there's 4 Colors fighting each other Here's simple colors : - Red - Blue - Yellow - Green Or maybe you want a Chaotic Space Wars, well 8 Color Space Wars might be awesome Here's some simple colors : - Red - Blue - Yellow - Green - Violet - Orange - Pink - Cyan Its just my suggestion so... Yup that's all ❤️
Please make this a series there's just something mesmerizing about watching these massive space battles, maybe add a planet background so it's not so empty.
Hmm, I still think the grey balls need a Update. For the most time blue balls just dropp to the ground. I didn't watch Red but it wasn't very interesting.
Talk about a sudden comeback, damn! Also, glad to see you’ve taken in all the advice from the previous SpaceWars One suggestion i have is a new variant of ship named “Carrier” It’s very friggin slow, but has fairly high durability (about on par with the current frigate) and will maintain between 5 and 10 interceptors (you can chose the exact amount if you wish) around itself, with a spawnrate of 1 every second. The carrier-interceptors will not charge ahead and instead stay close by the carrier The carrier itself will also have a few small guns to defend itself, 2 should do Lemme know what your thoughts are on the concept
I just commented on adding a moving main camera on the first video, glad to see that was already on the agenda for updates! If I can offer some feedback, I wanted to say that the whole screen seemed kind of busy, and it was hard to focus my attention on any one section, even the main camera, because there was so much going on and there were so many moving objects that it was constantly distracting. Im not sure how I would clean up the HUD, but if you have a strategy for that it would be fantastically appreciated, thank you!
Also, I think it'd be pretty cool to know what the composition of each fleet looked like - could you add a number under each ship type in the marble spawner section to show the current number of each ship type deployed? Thank you!
Spoiler warning I was going to honestly call bullshit on this because it just seemed so one sided and how Blue kept getting the marbles forced into the 1 2 and Interceptor areas it was actually insane comparing watching the two sides marbles and how Reds seemed to basically go wherever it wanted while Blue constantly got sling shotted into 1/2 interceptor. But that near end of summoning 8 Frigs was the life savor. God it reminded me of watching another RUclipsrs Legions and the color i always picked kept spawning the weakest archer unit for some reason.
The space wars equivalent of suddenly spawning 200+ WWI tanks.
War, is not about how much, it is about when.

11:38 good
i'd love to the two sides have differently designed ships, i think that would be pretty cool

I'm so glad it's not just me who thinks this, I want a rematch red got screwed over way too bad.
Red's ai is a lot worse, red ships avoid hitting the mothership but blue ships are landing hits on it across half the map.
I like this

It already has that, but facing forward. Maybe I'll change it to a wider fire angle.

I see Red continues to fall victim to the anti-red bias.
Camera change is great, now I can actually see what’s going on!

Thanks for the feedback!
Maybe it can be added with an aircraft carrier companion, and maybe some building structures I think

Yes
Can you add Frigets and destroyers for the fighting. And defenders for the mother ship in space war 3 please i wanna see war with big ships😢
