Who the f*ck thinks Tom Segura is funny ? They would play JRE on the night shift at this place I used to work. They had to stop playing Tom Segura episodes because we would fall asleep on break or lunch.
I find his podcast very funny and entertaining, his standup very mid. Similar for Rogan, but I think Rogan's standup is completely ass

The truth about all that is a lot of comedians in LA dont like the hispanic comedians. They sell out rooms but the crowd doesnt give mercy laughs to guys like Joe so they blame race instead of coming up with better material. Carlos was on the rise and it was eating up Joe who has a similar act but its not as funny.

I worked at the door of a comedy club for years so it’s gotten hard to make me laugh at comics. But segura makes me want to not laugh more!

As long as you have a real cognitive non-distorted reality on things; you’d view comedy as a job like any other. You wouldn’t despise it if you Understood it’s just a job. You know what I mean?

I happened to get a door job and after seeing comics like Kevin Meaney (more funny offstage) and a few others repeat their act word for word time and again I realized it was a job. Thank god for comics like Gilbert Godfrey, Bobby Slayton and even an early Chris Rock for keeping things fresh! That said, All in all one of the best experiences of my life.

This is pretty interesting because I'm in disagreement with a lot of my friends about this latest special from Tom and have been saying that he essentially phoned this one in. I did not enjoy that he did the same thing that Bret has been doing and has centered his whole set around the 'funny things' his kids do. Bret and Tom have turned their standup specials into family story time hour and I don't like it. He got a few good laughs out of me because Tom can have some great deliveries, but I thought this new special was trash.

Tom's just upset Theo banged out Christina back when she was Mint. The only reason he made it as a comedian was because his dad was CFO of Merril Lynch and made out with millions in bonuses from taxpayer funded government bailouts. When you can consistently pay for promotion and afford to do nothing else I'd bet just about anyone could be a successful comedian. Bert is the same way. He tries to talk about "struggling" but his parents were wealthy enough to pay for him to party in college for 7 or 8 years straight. Who do any of you know who had parents pay for something like that? For that long? I'm pretty sure he never even got a degree. Or any sort of degree worth anything. Same deal, if you have money to pay for promotion of all of your comedy and not have to ever work a real job your gonna become successful. Shlt if you have the money you can just flood the TV with ads for pillows and you'll become a millionaire.
