Ive seen him live twice. he had a very mild set the first time i saw him. with a few standout jokes. but his closer definitely killed and it did make me burst out laughing. then i saw him 2 years later, he was opening for rogan. and he proceded to do almost the same set with the inclusion of some pretty good subway jokes since the subway stuff was on the news at the time. But i was like WTF? this dude has had all this time to work on new material and he pulls out the same shit? like, the dude had 5 minutes of new material. then i watched his netflix special and i cant remember any of it, it was that bad.
I’m surprised with Hinchcliffs monstrous ego he doesn’t make these people sign music industry level, 360 deal type contracts when someone turns into a regular on his show, and if they somehow start doing shows by themselves in other clubs/cities and without him there. He’s 100% the type to fully take credit for these peoples careers and say he had everything to do with what they do on stage.

I didn't really think it was that funny even then, and thought it was odd that Tony was full of himself about what he's created. Now In retrospect I realize that I also watched Soft White Underbelly on RUclips for the exact same reason and it dawned on me, Kill Tony IS the Soft White Underbelly of comedy 🤯. Thanks to Redbar I'll never listen to all these "top comedians" the same way ever again.

Shane is right about Tony's over the top intros. Tony always wanted to be a rapper or musician and he thinks he's hyping the crowd up, but it actually comes across like he's not confident in the comedian he's bringing up, so he's trying to convince his audience they're funny in advance. It also lets him take a little of the credit when the comedian succeeds.

Shane is right about Tony's over the top intros. Tony always wanted to be a rapper or musician and he thinks he's hyping the crowd up, but it actually comes across like he's not confident in the comedian he's bringing up, so he's trying to convince his audience they're funny in advance. It also lets him take a little of the credit when the comedian succeeds.
