Very good video! I did steep turns yesterday and I struggled to maintain altitude within +/-100ft and I did spend most of my time looking outside however I found it hard to hold my sight picture. I have a really good feeling about your finger trick and am going to try it when I go up next! Thanks so much!
+Mirandorl use it to coordinate the rudder with the turn. Aileron and rudder together when entering the turn, then only what you need to keep the ball in the center of the turn coordinator, or as I tell my students, "only enough to keep your butt from sliding in the seat"
obviously you didn't watch the video did you hear the part where "we just did some clearing turns" Also, private pilot steep turns are 45deg bank. Maybe watch video and listen to the audio before commenting?
haha YES! nothing beats a well time 'thats what she said'
My finger trick worked... THATS WHAT SHE SAID! BOOYAH! lmao

What do you do with the rudder?

Made a mistake here didn't clear from right turn
This is not a steep turn by far ! Also you need to look for possible other planes before turning

East Coast Flying pilots should look outside a lot more than inside thank you
