My ink cartridge has been popping out of place and leaking within the pen. Do you know if there is a piece that is meant to hold it in place to prevent that? (My cartridges are slightly too long to store two at a time in the pen, but otherwise were described as compatible and were bundled with my pen when I ordered it.)

Actually, it's not fool proof (am I the fool?) There are certain "universal" cartridges that do NOT fit. I contacted Scriveiner and they advised a list of suitable cartridges. Monaggio was NOT one of them (made in China surprise, surprise) I ordered some Scriveiner brand but they are likely made by one of the larger manufacturers... MontBlanc, Schneider, Waterman, ... Bottom line, DON:T BUY CHEAP CHINESE SHIT! On the other hand, you could try using them just don't do it over your wife's best furniture.

So basically, you’re putting an extra ink cartridge in the base because it’s such a cheap piece of crap. You have to put an extra ink cartridge to make it fit, right . Dumb

This was the first pen I had that came with a converter so I was confused on how the cartridge was supposed to fit into the converter 😅
