solid selection of tips to go through. This is why I love that there is no pay for power in this game, you can obtain GIL easily if you just put the time in for a certain thing that yields good payout. Always happy to purchase stuff from the MB when HQ Crafted gear comes around. I do love the levequest stuff, super underutilized. Its known greatly for simple leveling but the rewards are always overlooked by ppl.
when selling materials, consider the size of your piles too. many crafters dont need 99 rocks to finish the crafting questlines, maybe we need exactly 7. theyll pay 10x the price for exactly what they need instead of buying 20x the amount they need. even on savage release, find out how many of one ingredient is needed for a full set of fending gear, or healing gear, or whatever. sell the exact amount needed, itll sell faster than a stack of 50 or 99, it might even sell faster than selling singles in some cases.
Excellent excellent point
I leveled 3 alts during downtime for levequest gil and free retainers.
I know all of these but never know what to do with the scrips afterwards...
That part changes all the time, it does take some minor analysis, I would usually get a list or just take a picture of what the script vendor is offering and then head to the MB and just go down the list and see what is selling for alot, and fast.
Rather then doing the leves, it is more lucrative to sell the leve item on the market board because you can sell them in large quantities for no other reason than people turning them in to level up, and they are too lazy to make it themselves.
Either that, or you simply sell the mats to make whatever is for the leve quest, because again, people are to lazy to gather it themselves.
Another way to do it is to reset the market board by buying all the HQ items and then reposting it for double what you paid. Or just maintaining a monopoly on one item. You'd be surprised at what just charging a premium on effort can do.
True especially after expansion this can be a very good idea. I do find it to be flooded though further down the road. But another bright side is if it doesn't sell just pull it and turn it in. No waste. 👍
