Hey everyone! It looks like this just hit the algorithm somehow. If you're liking and subscribing thank you so much for doing the RUclips things. I am currently looking into a better way to record footage as right now OBS doesn't like my native resolution. I have an idea for a few videos already so once I get my recording situated how I would like expect a few more videos coming down the pipeline. Thank you all for the kind words. It really means a lot. Edit: I will put some additional info here as well. Some people have been asking if the instance cap is per character or account wide. I don't have an alt to test this one but if someone can confirm it I'd love to add it here. After further research only dungeons count towards this limit, however no other type of instance does. So you can do raids/trials/bozja/eureka up to this limit. After you hit the limit though you will also be locked out of those as well. For the bonified BLUs out there you can obviously optimize this further with Nightbloom and Surpanakha. Feel free to post any optimizations in the comments. For the sake of the guide I wanted to make it fairly easy to achieve while keeping the run time low.
I love this video and I'll definitely take this technique for a spin! In my case, though, I'll probably skip ultravibration on pack 2, and instead pull pack 3 into pack 4 and use it on both.
This definitely does not feel like someone's first video. The information is plentiful, explanations are clear and concise and the visuals are well-timed and unambiguous. Fantastic work
I have some experience with editing software from dabbling in small projects over the years but have never put it all together in a fully produced video. Thanks for the kind words, it really means a lot!
This feels higher in quality and production value than about half of the FFXIV videos I've seen on RUclips. Fantastic job, especially for a first video! Will definitely be using this method in the future.
Direct to point and concise. The method being front and center for people that have all the spells saves us time. Really want to emphasize how much I appreciate this.
Not sure if anyone will ever see this or read this, but if you're like me and don't have anyone to help you get spells here's my little guide for doing this method. (Not as fast, but works) (Level 57 Blue Mage) [i130 gear from Allagan Tomes] Spells Needed: Mighty Guard, Basic Instinct, Toad Oil, Bristle, Ice Spikes, Electrogenesis, Faze, Mind Blast, The Ram's Voice, Eruption, Plaincracker, Peculiar Light, White Wind Pack 1: (Buff) with Toad Oil, Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Electrogenesis x2 -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice into Plaincracker until dead Pack 2: (Buff) with Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Plaincracker -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice into Plaincracker until dead Pack 3: (Buff) with Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Plaincracker -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> Peculiar Light-> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker until dead Pack 4: (Buff) with Toad Oil, Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Electrogenesis x2 -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice into Plaincracker until dead Tips/Info: -Please buff before each pack!!! - When using Faze always face your character to the pack. (your character doesn't auto target) -Try targeting the strongest enemy when doing the rotation. (I normally do that once I've used mind blast; you'll learn who's the healthiest the more you do this) [sorry I'm too lazy to include specifics] -I use Plaincracker just incase my target dies so I can just nonstop spam. -Usually when deep freeze (the debuff that's on enemy bar) is at 3s is when I use The Ram's Voice to avoid taking damage and keeping them frozen. -You can only freeze your enemies 3 times, but with the rotations they'll die before you do. -Packs 1&4 you let them come to you after using Electrogenesis x2 -Packs 2&3 you run passed the ranged enemies a little and do the rotation. (This is to group the packs for Faze) If you have questions I'll try to answer them. That is all, if you read this thank you! I hope it helps and that you have at least an ok day!
Yup, you've hit the algorithm! Great video structure and pacing - frontloading the information that's most relevant then fleshing it out later for those that need it has gotten you my sub! I've linked this video to a few discords - it's "easy" to make money when you've been playing for years and already have gil + crafters. Having an easily accessible and farmable gil faucet that doesn't involve the marketboard or crafters is great for newer players
It's nice to see a gil-making video that doesn't require the market board, max level gatherers or crafters, and a degree in economics. Mindless grinding, I can do.
yeah I literally start sweating every time I see a gil making tutorial on YT because most of them destroy the market, causing huge competition in a branch that was niche before, flooding MB with hundreds of people who don't know how the market works and undercutting themselves by too much money, making the item worthless and the method unprofitable anymore for a long time 😂
What I love is that you actually show where to get the spells and what they do. EVERY OTHER blue mage creator just assumes you have it, it’s annoying. Well done!!
Great guide! Very through explanation, from the obtaining necessary skills to the combat runs. For the packs after 7:40 I often group them up with the last pack after popping Gobskin before encounter, and kill them all in one fell swoop with Ram's Voice & Ultravibration combo. It's a bit risky but saves you few seconds. Cheers! Edit: I hella love your thumbnail
That's actually a good optimization. I've found that using Supranahka on the last pack really helps as well but wanted to keep the guide itself to a relatively easy to gain set of spells. I had faith the bonified BLUs out there would find their own optimizations. Thanks for the kind words!
Commenting for the algorithm, but also I just wanted to say this video is incredibly impressive for your first full video, and I'm very interested in seeing you make more. You were clear, to the point, saved your humor for when it was appropriate, and overall have a very clean and easy to understand style. Also this might be weird to get compliments on but you have a very nice voice and I'm very glad that you managed to not only speak clearly, but speak with a natural tone and cadence. It's very pleasant to listen to, especially in a video format like this. I wish you all the luck with your future videos, and I'll be subbing to see what you do in the future. Have a great day!
I appreciate the kind words! I actually think my speech here is a bit too robotic but trust me I aim to avoid the "RUclipsr voice." A bit more inflection and make it seem a bit less like I'm reading will likely be my only changes :) Again thanks for the kind words and stay tuned, there's already another video coming soon!
Thank you for the advice, I'd already had my Blu mage gathering dust and having another money making method during the day is always good to have in the pocket. Plus no competition on the MB or anything so pretty great. I do like how chill and articulate you were, you explained everything a very concise manner, and it made it easy to follow along. I do have one suggestion, it'd be cool if you could have put the BLU spell numbers in when you said what spells were needed. It can be hard to track down the BLU spells you need in your spell book sometimes since they opted to only add a filter and not a search function. But other than that totally great video.
A small part of me was excited to see Mint Dew pop up because I used to play on Jenova. This is a great guide and I'll definitely be giving this method a shot.
How on earth is this your first video, quality was brilliant. Really clear & concise information, structured great, definitely a guide I will be following along with.
Really solid guide, added benefit of not being interfered with by other players (marketboard shenanigans). Only suggestions I have is working in a few more primal skills to increase damage, Surpanaka is great for the 3rd pack, glass dance can be used on the last pack , and night bloom does do a large chunk of damage up front, plus the bleed
I'm kinda echoing what I see everyone else commenting but yeah it's worth saying again: great video. No unnecessary fluff, information is given in a deliciously concise manner, all important points are hit on in a very logical sequence and presented very well visually. 10/10, no notes!
If you want to make it just a bit easier to set up, Swiftcast Flying Frenzy (from Pharos Sirius) makes a workable replacement for J-Kick, and White Knight's/Black Knight's Tour (from The Vault) makes a decent replacement for Phantom Flurry. After a few tries, I got it down to about 1:35 with just these replacements, and Feather Rain instead of Eruption. HP can get a little low, and I would add Toad Oil as part of the entry prep, or make sure you have White Wind just in case, and if you can get Glass Dance, and save it for pack 3, it'll be much safer.
Good on you. The quality of the video is superb for a first video. You got potential. And the guide is actually decent for people who want to brainlessly farm.
Great video, absolutely loving how easy it is to do while doing other stuff in the background like listening to music, and the easy bar for entry with the spells suggested in the video. Hopefully this isn't something that gets taken out of the game since solo gil making escapades often involve crafting and the MB. Also for your first video this is really well made, so you should be proud of what you've done! Good editing, easy to follow, and most importantly straight to the point. With that said though, it's time for the obligatory optimisation post. Here's a couple things you can do if you have access to more spells: White Knight's Tour + Black Knight's Tour have (Aside from Peripheral Synthesis + Whistle's first hit, as far as i'm aware) the highest AoE damage of the GCD BLU spells at 400 single 200 multiple, letting you reliably kill the first pack of enemies in 3-4 GCDs from my experience (Funnily enough, you get White/Black Knight's Tour from later in The Vault itself) For something a little faster, if you have Peripheral Synthesis, you can buff that with a Whistle for a 720 potency attack on the Vault Ostiary and a 360 potency attack on everyone else. Aside from that, use Shock Strike + Eruption for more damage For the second pack, a lined up Phantom Flurry will kill most of them, all of them with lucky crits. You can use Both Ends here to finish off anything that survives with its ridiculous 600 potency AoE with no multi-target falloff. For the third pack, that's where I use Ram's Voice + Ultravibration, since I've found they hit the hardest and stopping to heal really cuts into your time, but you can swap this method with the method used for the second pack if you're having trouble consistently killing all the enemies. I'd also recommend saving J-Kick for here, since it lets you more reliably bunch up all the enemies to be hit with Ram's voice. Finally, for the last pack, I swiftcast a Matra Magic on the Vault Ostiary, then use Surpanakha (in that order, since Surpanakha is an OGCD skill), which reliably kills all three. TL;DR: Pack 1 - White Knights Tour & Black Knights Tour on repeat + Primal Spells until dead Pack 2 - Phantom Flurry + Both Ends Pack 3 - J-Kick, Ram's Voice + Ultravibration Pack 4 - Matra Magic the Vault Ostiary, Surpanakha All and all, the fastest runs I get doing that are around 50 seconds long, with bad runs usually running a little under a minute due to unlucky damage or bad casts. If you wanna go a little faster, here's a slightly more *Dangerous Strategy:* You can use a Bristle'd Self Destruct on the third pack of enemies PLUS last pack of enemies which is faster than the methods suggested above, though it's pretty risky, and if you can't pull it off consistently, it's not worth losing time over. Something to also consider is if you dont have crafters levelled high enough to repair your gear, then the cost of repairing at a vendor will eat into your profits, since self destructing will break your gear much quicker. Doing this however, does let you use other cooldowns on the first pack (Surpanakha, Both Ends, whatever you bring) since you can use J-Kick + Ram's Voice + Ultravibration on the second pack. TL;DR: Pack 1 - Whistle + Peripheral Synthesis, Any/All OGCDs Pack 2 - J-Kick, Ram's Voice + Ultravibration Pack 3 & 4 - Bristle + Self Destruct For how much riskier this strategy is however, I've only been able to save around 4-5 seconds compared to the safer strat, which does add up over time, but with the cost of repairs, i've not found it worth doing personally. Some other things to consider: -Ram's voice doesnt need to be used on every pack. If you're killing them fast enough, Mighty Guard + the out of combat health regen will keep you alive -Queueing for the instance at an inn room will mitigate the amount of time you spend loading in and out of the duty, and gives you easy access to repairs just outside the room. -If you queue back up for the instance fast enough, the Basic Instinct buff wont wear off, letting you cast Bristle/Whistle during the starting wait for a little extra damage at the first pack, saving time casting -For the above, you can instead cast Bristle *before* you enter the duty, and it will stay applied when you zone in, letting you cast Basic Instinct during the starting wait. This does *not* apply to Whistle however, for some reason.
Wow that's really neat! Never knew you could do this. Will have to keep it in mind when I get those abilities on my blue mage class. Also excellent work on your first try at making a guide video.
Damn, this is actually your first and only video?! I'm so glad you got the algorithm blessing, such a well-made video, subscribed instantly! Keep 'em coming ^^
i've been dreading blu mage for some reason, and i think this guide will finally give me the push i need to start getting skills and trying this out for myself! thank you, and i hope to see more guides from you in the future :)
Thank you so much for this video! It randomly appeared on my feed, but it could not have appeared at a better time. Lately I have had a hard time finding motivation to play because I missed the past two patches and it would require a decent amount of grinding for me to get the item level required to play new content. This should hopefully help me buy the gear I need to do new raids!
I've been running this sub-optimized with only getting the primal Eruption, then mimicry, guard, and Basic instinct. Slow clearing first pack with ram's voice and AOEs, using ultravibration on the second, and then toad oil/self destruct on the deacon pack. Turns out to be about 5k gil every two minutes which isn't too bad. Thanks for the guide! It really is a great framework for solo gil grinds.
You have no idea how much I appreciate you going through the actual method first- it immediately let me know "yeah I probably won't do this" while still being curious about the actual methodology
I do it a little different though, I don't swiftcast Ultravibration after Ram''s Voice in the second pack, I just cast it. After that I use Bristle, then swiftcast self destruct on the final two packs and kill them all in one go ^^ You die but the gil still rolls!
Really great content and straight to the point! Good work! I've been playing for a while and have crafters leveled but crafting's not always fun to me, so another way to make gil, and especially not involving the market board, is really great! Thank you for your hard work! :D
I'm missing a few of these spells, but if you have toad oil and self destruct, you can use it on the last pack to make it quick. And in order to make the first pack go quicker, I use Ram's Voice, Mountain Buster, Eruption, and then a couple more Ram's Voices to finish them off. Not the most optimal, but another option for those who don't have specific skills.
Considering all I tend to do these days is do roulettes with my friends and then... not much else, this sounds like a good way to make some extra on the side. Honestly a great video, ty.
I am not even into Blue Mage content but I would like to tell you: Great Video! Watched it till the end, very visually pleasing and informative, great stuff! Have my sub 🎉
Nice guide, another gil farm method to add to the mix when the others start being boring. While a bit time heavy, its a good thing to do while watching netflix or something! Thanks, also really nice editing.
I set up this build (I needed all the primal/raid stuff) in about a week and now it's my "background occupation" and has paused my leveling of an alt to turn them into a 3rd "Tsai tou Vounou" gil mule because this BLU grind is more up front time efficient as a solo activity, given all the setup for another culinarian/gatherer. It's also just solid whether you do it for a few minutes or the full two hours! Thank you so much for the well done, informative video! Anchoring your AOEs on the Ostiary makes a huge difference, as a tank they need to get the "whole amount" of the spells' damage to not be a pain in the ass!
While this method isn't for me (too much work for that payout), that is one hell of a first video. Well done, and congrats on somehow ending up on my front page every day for over a week now!
You don't come off as obnoxious as other XIV content creators, so you've earned a sub from me. Also not common that I find something like this I didn't already know about given I have 14k hours playtime, so bonus points for that.
Well spoken and information was on point. (if you want to make it even better, timestamps should do a lot of a info video, so people have an easy time finding the info for the spell they may be looking for.) hope to see more from you down the line and if this is truly your first video you should pat ya self on the shoulder.
I have never thought I needed to play Blue Mage because it's a restricted job but now I feel I must have it and I have obviously been missing out of a lot of interesting gameplay. Awesome vid and great guide, cheers!
Didnt know about the dungeon restriction of 100! Not in need of gil since i have more than enough but must say, your vid is pretty well done and informative at the same. You dont just rush trough the whole skills but give a lot of information. keep up the work, looking forward to what you bring in the future.
I mean this in the best possible way. Just watching the vid, I thought you had way more subscribers! Keep putting out this level of content and you'll be up there soon enough. Good luck, and thanks for the stellar guide!
My favorite part of this method is the fact that it doesn't require some gimmick or compete against others mentality. So many methods out there act like farming up some materials to mass-sell and compete against other people doing it like its no big deal, which only crashes the economy. Good job finding something that can be done that doesn't screw over the playerbase.
You get a sub. Not sure how much i'll get into Blue Mage but i've mentally bookmarked this for if and when I decide to level it up. It's a great first piece.
You are quite easy to listen to, and your speaking skills did not impress on me that this was your first video. I also appreciate that you were to the point. I was able to take some good notes. Great work!
slowly becoming a part of my dailies that i do at the end a few runs of this ty so much. I added Both Ends (102) and Surpanakha (78) for some more cooldown damages and i also find it easier to save ultravibe for the final pack.
Hearing it was your first video then looking at your subscriber count really caught me off guard. With how well put together the video was I expected to have just found a big channel I haven't heard of yet.
This Guide is something completly different to the rest. I quiet enjoy the concept and will 100% try this out with 3 friends of mine. Maybe we can clear the whole dungeon in a reasonable amout of time for even more profit. Anyway. Great Video! Keep up that good work smoll one. *Pat that Lala*
thank you so much for the easy to understand learning guide! im stil a sprout that needed so much gil for new gear and need some funds to grind the DoH so thank you so much, i hope SE won't nerf this type of gil grinding. because i really not lucky with MB :( so this is safe guaranteed money and for me easier to grind, thank you again
This is very well made but there is one technicality to point out. If you have enabled Level Sync then the learn rate for a spell is always 100%. The number of people in the party is irrelevant. It notably makes Eruption very easy to get since Ifrit Normal is very soloable even with a very small spell collection. You have the correct info on screen though so small mistake. I completed like half my spell collection solo syncing duties. It's a pretty good time. Also thanks for pointing this out I just spent most of my gil buying a house and will make great use of this.
very good video, clearn, concise and to the point. though i'd probably still stick with my war for the same dungeon XD but it's definitely a fun job for Blue Mage :D
Very interesting and informative! Following along to see if I already had the spells, it would have been great to have the spell numbers on screen. But with so few spells it wasn't too bad regardless.
if you have these spells theyre pretty great oGCDs you can weave to try make enemies die faster, or at least it has helped me a little: #48 Glass Dance, #78 Surpanahka & #104 Nightbloom. The nightblooms probably a bit of an overkill + takes a bit due to ticks but Surpananhka helps a lot for the part youre doing Phantom Flurry (combine them for extra dps spares you a Rams voice cast, or use it at the first pack instead of rams+mind blast at the end) - is just a recommendation on adjustments i made based on this amazing guide. Also thank you so much for making this!
I wish I didn't recognize the area you showed off Aetheric Mimicry... but yep, that's Jenova, Old Sharlayan. Because that person is always there. Lol. On an off note, amazing video. This coupled with the Tsai leve turn-ins, makes for great daily gil.
This might get me back into XIV. I have almost all of my classes leveled to 90 and hate doing dailies, so this'll make it easier to get gil compared to just doing those every day. I can reach my tomestone cap for the week then just ignore dailies and do stuff I'd rather do.
Great guide! Thank you for this. Doing the primal fights when Hard is an option is recommended. Reason being is the fight won't take that much longer, and you'll get a chest reward with items you can desynth or turn into your GC for seals. Might was well get drops while you wait on RNGeebus to grace you with his blessing! 😁
For all of the blue mages who are looking for some alternatives to spells! I got u, I don't have friends and I did all of this solo at level 70. Phantom Flurry can be substituted by a spell called Surpanakha which drops from Thok Ast Thok. I did it on hard, Solo. It was quite simple. J kick can be substituted with Flying Frenzy which drops from Pharos Sirius normal from the second boss. (it's a belly flop he does, easy to get) A good alternative for the last pack someone else mentioned I believe is to use Toad Oil at the beginning of the dungeon, then 1 Ram's Voice into Self Destruct and leave after the money comes in. Lastsly I would reccomend doing The Vault UNSYNCHED once (i only needed to do it once) for Black & White knight's tour. This all together is plenty of power if you can't get the alexander or suzaku spells! Hope it helps!
THIS! I tried this with Surpanakha since I lacked Phantom Flurry just a couple days ago. Fortunately, I did end up getting Phantom Flurry, but Surpanakha is perfect for this. You can even use 1 charge at the beginning to finish folks off and use all 4 by the last pull if you so choose. I'm down 1 min 10 sec per run and J Kick will speed that up.
Great guide. It's always good to see players demonstrate the power of BLU. I'm curious though, have you experimented with double pulling the last pack and using ultavibration on them? Or is Blue Mage too squishy for this even with mighty guard?
Some people have already posted optimizations of using Swiftcast + self destruct on the last two packs. Personally I found it a bit too inconsistent due to mob pathing, so I prefer this route. If you can't get them bunched up just right to kill them all the autos shred you fairly quick. You can definitely do it but for the sake of ease I chose this method for the video.
Bro I leveled blue mage to cap ages ago and just put it on the back burner This sounds like a great method to use when I got nothing better to do for a few hours
While I might not have Phantom Flurry yet, I do have other fun spells like Glass Dance, and Surpanakha to help sub in. Definitely will try and work this in to try and help the gil grind a slight bit since I"m mostly using what Gil I get for crafting. Took a good while to get those spells, but I know it will be worth it. Not sure if a newer dungeon than The Vault might be more suitable for farming, but even if it isn't the grind itself isn't too bad all things considered. Thank you for sharing.
I'm still reeling from the fact that both times that I've seen this video. Both came with ads for Potato Chips, and the first one was a Lays Ad with the tagline: 'Not your ordinary potato'.
Hey everyone! It looks like this just hit the algorithm somehow. If you're liking and subscribing thank you so much for doing the RUclips things. no way its his first video thats crazy.. subbed
@@RigelNatsukiFFXIV OP's right, video kicks ass
also your voice is delightful and your lala looks rad
Facts. Gonna sub just for that 😂
This feels higher in quality and production value than about half of the FFXIV videos I've seen on RUclips. Fantastic job, especially for a first video! Will definitely be using this method in the future.

Very well edited and good pacing in explaining. For a first time video this is incredible, ngl. Sub well earned :)
That was the goal! Thank you very much :)
Not sure if anyone will ever see this or read this, but if you're like me and don't have anyone to help you get spells here's my little guide for doing this method. (Not as fast, but works)
(Level 57 Blue Mage) [i130 gear from Allagan Tomes]
Spells Needed: Mighty Guard, Basic Instinct, Toad Oil, Bristle, Ice Spikes, Electrogenesis, Faze, Mind Blast, The Ram's Voice, Eruption, Plaincracker, Peculiar Light, White Wind
Pack 1: (Buff) with Toad Oil, Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Electrogenesis x2 -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice into Plaincracker until dead
Pack 2: (Buff) with Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Plaincracker -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice into Plaincracker until dead
Pack 3: (Buff) with Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Plaincracker -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> Peculiar Light-> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker until dead
Pack 4: (Buff) with Toad Oil, Bristle, Ice Spikes -> Electrogenesis x2 -> Faze -> Mind Blast -> The Ram's Voice -> Eruption then Plaincracker x3-> The Ram's Voice -> Plaincracker -> The Ram's Voice into Plaincracker until dead
Tips/Info:

If you have questions I'll try to answer them.
That is all, if you read this thank you! I hope it helps and that you have at least an ok day!
Of course at the start of the run make sure you have Mighty Guard and Basic Instinct on!!!
I'm doing something similar. I don't have J Kick. My time's coming in just under 2 minutes per run.
Others have said it, but the pacing in this video is great. Too many FF14 CCs feel like they're wasting my time. Excellent video.
Yup, you've hit the algorithm! Great video structure and pacing - frontloading the information that's most relevant then fleshing it out later for those that need it has gotten you my sub!

You have no idea what kind of power you just gave me as a blue mage main. Also really well done job with the video, it was structured perfectly! ❤️
I actually think my speech here is a bit too robotic but trust me I aim to avoid the "RUclipsr voice." A bit more inflection and make it seem a bit less like I'm reading will likely be my only changes :)
Again thanks for the kind words and stay tuned, there's already another video coming soon!
This feels much more polished than a standard 1st video. Well done. This was a great guide.
That was my initial reaction seeing that clip. I just went "Oh hey! I know who that always-aetheryte-dancing miqo'te is!"
Where was she? I missed her.
This was your first video? Well done! I'm impressed with the organization, editing, and clear presentation.
Such a good video, informative and to the point! As many have said it doesnt look like its a first timer video.
Here's a couple things you can do if you have access to more spells:
White Knight's Tour + Black Knight's Tour have (Aside from Peripheral Synthesis + Whistle's first hit, as far as i'm aware) the highest AoE damage of the GCD BLU spells at 400 single 200 multiple, letting you reliably kill the first pack of enemies in 3-4 GCDs from my experience (Funnily enough, you get White/Black Knight's Tour from later in The Vault itself)
For something a little faster, if you have Peripheral Synthesis, you can buff that with a Whistle for a 720 potency attack on the Vault Ostiary and a 360 potency attack on everyone else.
Aside from that, use Shock Strike + Eruption for more damage
For the second pack, a lined up Phantom Flurry will kill most of them, all of them with lucky crits.
TL;DR:
Pack 1 - White Knights Tour & Black Knights Tour on repeat + Primal Spells until dead
Pack 2 - Phantom Flurry + Both Ends
Pack 3 - J-Kick, Ram's Voice + Ultravibration
Pack 4 - Matra Magic the Vault Ostiary, Surpanakha
All and all, the fastest runs I get doing that are around 50 seconds long, with bad runs usually running a little under a minute due to unlucky damage or bad casts.
If you wanna go a little faster, here's a slightly more *Dangerous Strategy:*
You can use a Bristle'd Self Destruct on the third pack of enemies PLUS last pack of enemies which is faster than the methods suggested above, though it's pretty risky, and if you can't pull it off consistently, it's not worth losing time over.
TL;DR:
Pack 1 - Whistle + Peripheral Synthesis, Any/All OGCDs
Pack 2 - J-Kick, Ram's Voice + Ultravibration
Pack 3 & 4 - Bristle + Self Destruct
For how much riskier this strategy is however, I've only been able to save around 4-5 seconds compared to the safer strat, which does add up over time, but with the cost of repairs, i've not found it worth doing personally.
Some other things to consider:
-Ram's voice doesnt need to be used on every pack. If you're killing them fast enough, Mighty Guard + the out of combat health regen will keep you alive
-Queueing for the instance at an inn room will mitigate the amount of time you spend loading in and out of the duty, and gives you easy access to repairs just outside the room.
-If you queue back up for the instance fast enough, the Basic Instinct buff wont wear off, letting you cast Bristle/Whistle during the starting wait for a little extra damage at the first pack, saving time casting
-For the above, you can instead cast Bristle *before* you enter the duty, and it will stay applied when you zone in, letting you cast Basic Instinct during the starting wait. This does *not* apply to Whistle however, for some reason.
I don't usually comment (nice things lmao) but this was a really well-edited video. As well as no-nonsense and informative. Good job
Short, to the point, informative, and well-edited. Awesome job! Definitely subbing and looking forward to more.
Dayum, the information was amazingly articulated and nicely edited. 👌🏻
Been doing this myself for a few months, awesome video!
Fantastic guide! This was incredibly well put together.
Considering all I tend to do these days is do roulettes with my friends and then... not much else, this sounds like a good way to make some extra on the side. Honestly a great video, ty.
Super well put together video, thanks for this, will definitely take advantage of this method during post-roulette downtime!
Definitely wouldn't mind some more content like this, very helpful!
so glad i collected all blue spells a while back, between gil farming and moogle tome events its been a huge return on time investment.
Brilliant first effort. Keep it up!
Nicely made. Very clear, very informative, all in all 10/10
You made a better video then most people with 10k subscribers. Good job
Dam dude this is your first vod that's Soo good. I feel like a toddler with blocks trying to making anything even remotely similar.
This was an awesomely produced video!!! The walkthrough on the runs helped a ton!
(if you want to make it even better, timestamps should do a lot of a info video, so people have an easy time finding the info for the spell they may be looking for.)
hope to see more from you down the line and if this is truly your first video you should pat ya self on the shoulder.
This is great! I love that it's not affected by outside influences, other than SE themselves potentially. Thanks for sharing
Awesome video, super well edited! Making me think of picking up the game again
Just subbed! I picked up BLU just last week and working on getting to lvl 17. So this came perfectly!
Freaking first video, bruh this was so nice 👍🏻. Thanks for this man
I mean this in the best possible way. Just watching the vid, I thought you had way more subscribers! Keep putting out this level of content and you'll be up there soon enough. Good luck, and thanks for the stellar guide!
Wow really great first video, take the sub, hope to see more from you!
🎉 cheers buddy great content i like the editing fluid and cery easy to follow
Subbed and saved the video. Definitely getting back on blue mage now!
Hearing it was your first video then looking at your subscriber count really caught me off guard. With how well put together the video was I expected to have just found a big channel I haven't heard of yet.
First video!? That was amazing 👏 🙌🏻... subscribed!
This has convinced me to level blue mage. The siren call of gil is too strong 😅 love the video it's very informative and well- produced!
great, simple and thorough explanation
thank you so much for the easy to understand learning guide! im stil a sprout that needed so much gil for new gear and need some funds to grind the DoH so thank you so much, i hope SE won't nerf this type of gil grinding. because i really not lucky with MB :( so this is safe guaranteed money and for me easier to grind, thank you again
I find it funny that I know you are on my server just by the AFK'er in the background. Gotta love Mint Dew
Was hoping someone would notice! Keep an eye out and say hi if you see me!
Oh this be nice to do when you are waiting for things to do fast run here and there, will try it out
This is very well made but there is one technicality to point out. Also thanks for pointing this out I just spent most of my gil buying a house and will make great use of this.
thank you so much this is a solid guide explains what each spell does and makes so much sense thank you so much.
your lalafell looks cool as, nicely done.
Edit: the thumbnail is awesome btw.
Thank you for the video, excellent work , I managed to recover solo all the techniques that you use except 2 : Phamtom fury and Jkick it's dead solo
This has gave me motivation to actually level blue mage. Thanks°
very good video, clearn, concise and to the point. though i'd probably still stick with my war for the same dungeon XD but it's definitely a fun job for Blue Mage :D
Thank you for sharing , extremely helpful 🥹
You can also get Ram's Voice from Azulmagia after unlocking the Blue Carnival, which also gives you Dragon's Voice too.
great vid!! not something im going to be using anytime soon, but def saving!
thanks kupo from one lalafell to another this was helpful and take care
Very well done video, deff. subscribing may have to try this method out
For all of the blue mages who are looking for some alternatives to spells!
(it's a belly flop he does, easy to get)
A good alternative for the last pack someone else mentioned I believe is to use Toad Oil at the beginning of the dungeon, then 1 Ram's Voice into Self Destruct and leave after the money comes in.
Amazing Video for your first one 👍
You've inspired me to try this method on a higher risk dungeon using bubble breath and northerlies in combination
Wow finally a Gil making grind that even my combat only self with only 2 brain cells can do.
Nice bro and ty!!
Bro I leveled blue mage to cap ages ago and just put it on the back burner
This sounds like a great method to use when I got nothing better to do for a few hours
