It’s so funny watching Dan, who doesn’t know what he’s doing, get information from Arin, who also doesn’t know what he’s doing
You did it, you summed up this show in one sentence
Thats it, thats the show
this made me laugh so hard and i have no idea why-
Blind leading the blinder
The blind leading the blind 😂
For a second I thought I accidentally warped back 7 years when I saw this in my sub box
Hey it’s the Pokémon guy!
*insert that 1984 boomer comic here*
Same
I’m surprised Dan never played fnaf.
Oh my god same
Arin hearing Foxy’s name, confirming he’s a fox, then continuing to call him “wolf, wolfman, scratch” literally 10 seconds later is like a mom calling every console “Nintendo”
Or a mom calling every Pokémon “pikachu”
Foxy’s the fox because Foxy’s my favorite fox
This the realest comment I’ve ever seen in my life
My dad sometimes calls every device a tablet 💀
@@HyrFrh okay but Foxy’s my favorite
“the more you look at him the more upset he gets”
_Arin._
i love reading this in the same way as dan says it like a disappointed mother
Like no... No arin... It's the exact opposite... You're gonna get Dan killed.... Again
It's both, right? If you never look in he shows up eventually, but if you keep looking over and over he comes out faster.
@@MikoSquiz nope. there’s no code that says that looking at him too much makes him angry
He's actually correct about that, the phone tells you at the second night that you shouldnt spend too long looking at it
"theres more games than there are nights at freddy's" is the funniest and most accurate thing I've ever heard about the series
Which is funny because you can play it off as the first 5 nights are cool gameplay with some lore if you look for it, and a 6th night dumps a bunch more, and then 7th is custom night (sound familiar?)
Did you know that the games correspond to the gameplay?
five nights = five main games
an extra 6th night for lore = fnaf pizzera simulator/fnaf6
a custom night = fnaf ultimate custom night
We get it y’all watch Game Theory
9 or 11 depending on which ones you count
Actually now that I think about it, yeah!
Because FNAF world, UCN, Fury's Rage, AR, and SB don't have dedicated nights!
Arin really confidently gives explicitly incorrect information
"I don't think he came in the left door."
-Someone clearly unaware that Bonnie only ever enters through the left door.
100% correct 70% of the time
And the opposite of what he said for Foxy.
Just like the entire internet

One thing I love that Dan does when his nerves get frayed is asking important, relevant questions about his surroundings - _"Who the hell designed this Chuck E. Cheese?!"_
@Azure Balmung
Since I've seen a retrospective on this series, I could answer that, but it's a spoiler...
"Someone should clean those cobwebs"
Ironically enough, there are some old places designed like this, including the doors that automatically retract when there's no power so that you're not trapped if the power goes out.
William Afton. I think that's his name...
I like to imagine the same person that designed the original Chuck E Cheese
I like how Dan got the "it's me" event, which is considered to be pretty rare, in his first playthrough, TWICE
Plus the Freddy poster where he's tearing his head in half. Not sure how rare it is, but he got it twice too. Cool stuff.👌🏻
@@tabbyenthusiast2913 pretty sure that directly correlates to when Golden Freddy shows up.
Actually not twice, he saw it 3 times, twice in one night and once the night before
@Luke O'Leilei ah gotcha, I wasn't entirely certain so thanks for clearing it up.
and he also had the crying children poster on the wall at 9:14
“I love this new, horrible experience for me is like a trip down memory lane for everyone else”
We love it too, Dan
Terrified Dan gives me life.
I am VERY deeply fascinated by analog horror rn so it’s so fascinating to see some of its origins (at least in the case of the Walten Files)

There's already something like that for the switch version I think
This may be one of the rare instances where a recent video of someone's first experience with FNAF is genuine. Dan is consistently unperturbed by hot trends and it's delightful to watch his initial exposures unfold.
Yes, same when they streamed Undertale, Dan’s genuine reactions to the story and characters was absolutely delightful. Best part that he wasn’t tainted by the fanbase’s frankly absurd tendency to backseat game either.

*"I don't know, Dan."*
I always wondered why did they need a security guard when those guys are ready to hunt down anyone who dares trespassing the place right after the closing time
Maybe the security guard job is just preventing any intruders from getting killed by Freddy and the gang.
Actually, that would make for a great game, I bet.
Edit: Alien: Blackout is a game kind of like this. You've got to lead astronauts around a space station while keeping them and yourself safe from the alien.
@@deen7530 That gave me flashbacks to my proposal for a FNAF multiplayer game. You got the Guard (Default gameplay), Animatronics (Kill the guard to win and the following party), and the Robbers (Nab as many objects as you can throughout the night until you reach the cash limit). The guard can catch the robbers on camera and have them jailed for an hour while the animatronics come for them both. This was also during the period where a free roaming FNAF sequel was getting tossed around so I decided to throw my hat into the ring😅
Tbf the people in charge of hiring the night guard in FNAF 1 probably don’t know they’re out for blood like the guy that hires you in FNAF 6. They probably know there’s something hinky goin on (what with the bite of 87 and all) but not straight up haunted
Dan wanting a good player to play this with them is reminding me of when Arin, Suzy and Barry called Mark up in the middle of their playthrough to ask for advice

EXACTLY!! This was such an amazing experience and it would be so good If they continued playing this franchise
Dan's accusatory tone when asking if Balloon Boy is, in fact, fun, Arin, gives me life
I actually really love this video. It's so rare to see people who don't know wtf they're doing playing this game or playing it mostly blind. It's like going back to 2014 when this game was new and there was all kinds of misinformation going on about which animatronic does what and when, and nobody was quite used to the atmospheric scares as they are today.
Living vicariously through someone else's experiences, huh?
@@theothertonydutch what kind of reply is that? 🤨🤨🤨 fuck outta here
I agree, it's so fun being in the community and following every single fnaf related thing and then have a silly lil video like this (:
Arin is clearly giving this "i know what to do and messing with Dan" tone to he's voice. Dan hasn't played and that's the joy of it.
@@crcoghill That's true, but he's also still giving Dan misinformation, like about Foxy or about how he thinks Bonnie can come through the right door. He knows vaguely what to do, but when it comes to the details, it seems like he legit knows very little as well.
I like how neither of them know how lucky they are, Dan got the crying child poster, It's Me TWICE, AND freddy ripping open his head TWICE. Most people won't see any of those things once.
for those like me who need the jump scare time stamps:
9:43 (bonnie)
27:08 (foxy)
Dan : *constant panic*
Arin: "oh, i didnt know my watch beeped by the hour...neat"
Like Dan said, this really was a pleasant walk down memory lane. It was nice seeing them play this again.
Heck, they even completed the 2014 feel by not remembering the game mechanics and character's names again.
This was my first experience with the game too. The first jump scare scared me more than I’d like to admit
I’ve played this game before and that first jump scare got me, lol
@@SailorMoonLogic me too 🤣
the approximately 17 minute phone call at the beginning is the most patient i have ever seen Arin be with any kind of tutorial or exposition
Gotta say, I’d love to see another episode of this. Also, just a word of advice, you’re SUPPOSED to look at Foxy in the cameras. He doesn’t like to be looked at on camera so he’ll try to hide behind his curtain instead of come after you.
Well you don't have to look *at* him, you just need to have the camera up
You don’t have to look at him, it doesn’t check if the camera is on his room.
Isn't there also supposed to be the sound of him running to the camera room really quick? Or was that only in later games? Cos there was 0 sound of foxy before he showed up lol
@@rezyrektion6467 Now this may or may not be true, but I’ve only ever heard the footsteps while watching him run down the hall in the camera. It could be the sound is only audible from the west hall camera.
@@rezyrektion6467 Not just a sound. You *see* that boi dashing down the hallway.
Arin's quiet sadistic laughter while Dan sits in a pool of his own anxiety...
I'm so sad they arent doing more of this. I've never played the games or even watched someone play them but I know a bit of the lore and I'd love to see Dan realize there's WAY more to these games than it seems.
5:20 - "This is like the same principle as Night Trap"
Personally that's one of the things I find really impressive about FNAF. Back in the 1990s on those old CD systems they were experimenting with using full-motion video to make games, and for the most part they weren't really successful in making fun and interesting games with the technology. The fact that FNAF was able to take roughly the same kind of formula and turn it into... at the very least a more memorable game experience. Some of that's because of the exposure the game got on RUclips, etc. but a lot of it comes down to how it uses atmosphere and tension.
At the very least, Night Trap is only scary on paper.
In execution its so campy, Im ready to get inside my tent.
The funniest part was Danny saying "aww this fucking sucks dude". Aww this is really nostalgic watching y'all play this.❤
23:44 I love that part too! 🤣
When Dan says it like that you know it's a good video.
@@varden3270 lol ikr this is element and arins just laughing in the corner😂😂
I hope as soon as Mark finds out about this he calls Dan to congratulate him on his first night at Freddy's
what if you got called by scott cawthon, the phone guy lol
23:44 is so delightfully genuine
Watching someone like dan play this game is like genuinely looking through a time portal to 2014
