A very neat project Andrei. I kept wondering why you chose the Mega. I'm glad you explained it was because using the Mega made that display a lot easier. I learned quite a bit more about light and spectrometers. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice for Optical spectrometer but there is also a pc and apk software that make diy spectrometer easy using just DVD groovs and camera . But I asked you several times to also make Wide band RF spectrum analyser using easily available wide band RF modules . Now days everything becoming digital and controlled by just one pack chip so young generation is not able to find technical details and knowledge RF electronic is one of them but for that they should have at least one instrument which is Spectrum Analyser I know there is also other options like Sdr but building scanning based spectrum analyser is much Informative as it cointains lots of important radio technology like superheterodyne circuit etc and even FFT based is very unique because FFT is very Important algorithm for mordern age .
Hi, I have a question about the "homemade filament" project. How do I know how many watts the resistors have. IN PCB. And how many watts does the heater, heatsink and stepper motor have? Thank you for the answer

what kind of eye safety you used on this and where can i get it ? in most cases chinesse laser pointers are underrated to avoid bans and can be dangerous to eyes and even cause fires
Nice project, maybe is possible with this circuit make a spectrophotometer for measure concentration in solutions in analytical chemistry, the comercial equip is very expensive, thanks for share.
why dont you use the Toshiba YX_TCD1304 Linear CCD Module USB Serial Output ..pixel 8umx200um, total pixel 3648 and wavelength response range of 300nm~1100nm has nearly the same price ant is so much better
Off-topic question: since light is an EM wave, why can’t we measure electric current when we shoot light through a coil of wire? Why can we only detect it when it hits something like a ccd camera?
Thanks Electronoobs, for a really nice video about the underlying principles. 👍 For people wanting additional info, I would recommend looking at another good video about a TCD1304-based spectrometer: ruclips.net/video/WO8dDakrfiA/видео.html&ab_channel=CuriousScientist
Les' lab did something similar a while ago, using a Raspberry Pi and its camera. Also a cool project, with some new software available: ruclips.net/video/SCp9T8NKfnM/видео.html
I like how you did your optical setup. Times like that, I wish I had a 3D printer! (But nowhere to put it in our tiny house.) One thing I didn't understand is, you kept saying you were going to "load the code from below." But what the heck does that mean?! I really don't understand. EDIT: Wait, were you talking about "download" -ing the code? Is that what your think "download" means?! Ha ha ha, that's funny! Is that it, really? LMAO! Sorry, I just thought of that after I wrote my question. But is it true? It must be--you have so much trouble pronouncing everything, so that's the only explanation I can think of. Maybe you should try listening to people actually speaking English, you might learn a few things. Although I will say there's probably not many people who can pronounce "spectrometer" correctly anyway, so you'll have a long wait, lol. I'm not trying to be mean, really. Just sayin'. I do like your projects. I just have a little trouble understanding you sometimes. Excellent project! You covered a lot of concepts. By the way, the prism doesn't "speed up/slow down" the different light frequencies, it diffracts or bends them, according to how the wave hits the interface. You can't really change the speed of light. (Also your graphic with the prism was wrong-- the bending occurs at the interface of the media, not in the middle.) 👌
Hi. I need your help! In this video ruclips.net/video/t2AHs41a1cU/видео.html , in the transmitter code you say that these values mapJoystickValues( analogRead(A0), 13, 524, 1015, true ); they have to be measured. How are they measured?
I made one for my iPhone using the 3D model from Thingiverse. "Public Lab Smartphone Spectrometer v4" None this song and dance with optics and swiveling lenses.

This is a really interesting project. I made something similar with AMS sensors... but this is much greater!
your exposition video technique is splendid!
So nice. I love this stuff, and thank you for uploading.
Suggestion for a video: Can you maybe try to make a VESC?
Good job ✅🌹👍
that's a very good project. good continuation
Can you do the same with Optical mouse Ccd sensor ?
Great idea and thanks for your precious effort. 😍👍

Very good project.
I thought you would add the link where we can buy the respective components of the apparatus
Your work I truly impressive

Big fan of Your work, Watching from college days itself..Love from India🇮🇳
I am watching this channel from my highschool days Or even before, now am in college. Great content. Love from 🇮🇳.
Lol I'm surprised you have internet in india 😂

Very nice project.Could you please share price details for making up whole equipment and can we buy the parts from any where else except aliexpress
could you do a 3phase inverter for asynchronous motors

Completa tu video. Extiéndelo hasta el infrarrojo y mete diferentes compuestos. Los espectómetro sirve para eso.
Sir can you please teach how to design pcb in proteus software i am trying but unable to do so can you please make a video for design a pcb
Off-topic question: since light is an EM wave, why can’t we measure electric current when we shoot light through a coil of wire? Why can we only detect it when it hits something like a ccd camera?
I just realised that radio waves are detected by the coil, so maybe it has to do with wavelength or something
I'm guessing you use Kdenlive video editor?
Sir its time for brushed drone part 6 made brushed drone using nrf arduino and 180 motor
👍
Very cool.
very good
Make video creating scanner usingcontact image sensor
Instead of using the LCD screen, could you show us how to display the spectrum on PC mornitor?
Yes, maybe using processing
Serial port, but it'll be slow.
Nice.
cool
There is a much better spectrometer build using a Raspberry Pi. If you do a search on RUclips, you'll find it...
why you use this bad small monitor instead of using the serial output from Ardurino und your coputers monitor
colors are not nessesary because you have the corresponding wavelength numbers
I need arduino code

if you can make APOGEE MQ-200 QUANTUM-METER for cheaper you will be rich

Could u speed up ur talking ? Is so booooooring
