Do you guys see how Nerubar Weblord counters Yogg Saron?
That's like really, really exciting to see in-game!
Easy brawl. Dr. boom, bomb lobber and explosive trap
i like you
malkazare's imp, soul fire, silverware golem
Oh my god 😂
Boom bots cannot melt steel rods, mon.
clueless
19:10 For those interested in just how unlucky Kripp can be, the actual probability of innervate not showing up for him before it did, was 1 in 745,747.
NeverLucky FeelsBadMan BabyRage PJSalt
I was playing Ice Block/Duplicate/Ethereal Arcanist, opening hand had 0 Arcanists, mulligan all 3 cards and still 0 Arcanists, first four draws of the game, still 0 Arcanists. Finally on turn 5 I got my first arcanist, fortunately with that deck you only need one thanks to duplicate, but still...those odds
Could you show your work please? I'm not too proud to say this problem went over my head pretty quickly. The way I initially did it was say there's a 2/3 chance each turn to NOT draw innervate. I think the rough calculation Kripp did was (2/3)^17, which is 1 in 1000. That is wrong though, since the odds aren't exactly 2/3 each draw because with each failure the deck has a higher percentage of innervates. By the 17th card he had 10 innervates and 3 other cards, which makes it less than 1 in 3 chance NOT to draw one by then.
for the guy above
innervate was 18th card (according to kripp, don't feel like counting)
so, we're don't the probability of not drawing innervate in 17 draws
here's the math
(20*19*18*...*4))/(30*29*28*...*14)
0.000009519or 0.0009519%
reasoning-
20/30 to draw non innervate, then 19/29, then 18/28...all the way down to 4/14
then you just multiply all the probabilities to get your specific outcome
(do note that my answer is different than the op, who got 0.00013409%)
Actually, the correct calculation is as follows:
Probability that none of the 4 cards in the mulligan were innervate: 20/30 * 19/29 * 18/28 * 17/27 = 17.7%
Probability that the 2 cards he mulliganed away didn't become innervate: 16/26 * 15/25 = 36.9%
Probability that the next 8 cards he drew weren't innervate either: 16/26 * 15/25 * 14/24 * 13/23 * 12/22 * 11/21 * 10/20 * 9/19 = 0.82% (notice that the 9th card drawn after the mulligan WAS innervate)
Multiply this all together and we obtain: 0.053775%, or 1 in 1860.
Lmao so we've got 4 people with 4 different calculations (if we count mine which I admitted was wrong) with answers that are orders of magnitude apart from each other. That's about what I expected.
Statistics are tricky and there's tons of room for error in something that seems relatively simple. It's like how everyone thinks they're an above average driver. I'm glad everyone's keeping it civil, these situations resort to name calling sometimes.
0:04 - [Talkerino]
2:54 - easy Mage
4:47 - curing the disease
6:49 - nope.
8:43 - a cure for many things
11:17 - never lucky
14:09 - okay... maybe sometimes lucky
18:03 - the dark side
kripp secretly takes my fur at night and puts it on that thing u guys call "mustache?"
your fur is full of Σ virus
Nice! Never thought I'd see a Megaman reference here...
Mr Applegate lol I'm trying to hide it by saying Σ virus when it should have been the sigma virus
/me OhMyDog Hey Kripp, it's your dog, Dex! I just wanted to let you know that some more of my fur fell out today...maybe it's that "vegan" diet you've been putting me on? Just like you said,"Doggies can be vegans too"! Anyways, I love you, and wish you would stop playing that card game all the time and talk to me and Rania sometimes. Sorry, that's a lot to ask, I know you need money to buy us more "kale" and "popsicles" or whatever. Anyways, good luck on your "Heart Stone"! OhMyDog
Does he really force his dogs to be vegan?
Woke up needing to shit, saw the new Kripp video, had my pants off before I even got to the bathroom.
now that's called dedication xD
Didn't know our lord and savior Cory was bound by human excremental processes
yup idk why but i watch him in there
Damn didn't know the protagonist of my favourite anime watched kripp
First thing I read as I sat down myself. Lol
Malchezaar is perhaps the most hilarious thing in this brawl
80 card deck opie opie
60?
Counters Mill XD
pali with fobiden healing anyone?
i played against Paladin with mad scientist + redemption and avenge, it was hilarious game
I love how Kripp gets so damn salty that he calculates how unlucky he is and then wins.
Barnes, Bog Creeper and Purify. Perfect.
modify it by removing the purify and adding Σ virus instead perfect
Play 30 twilight hammers because fuck the rules
+Twilight hammerino kripperino it's "screw the rules, I have money"
Lol
Malygos, Moonfire, Barnes. You'd be suprised
barnes can pull out barnes^^
+Azael DE No shit.
OH REALLY??? XD XD XD XD
And also by turn 4 you are dead against most decks before you can even play Barnes lol
"Suprised" how bad it is?
My favorite deck is Astral Communion, ME, and Innervate. Mostly me and my legion.
ME?
what about you two other legendarys for 60 legendary deck
prince malchezaar
(Prince Mal)
Wouldn't that be PM?
I play Northshire Cleric, Wild Pyro, and Circle of Healing to make my opponent sit through 5 minutes of card draw and fatigue animations. Next level concede priest Kappa
"Tonight, a night of terrible tragedy!" Wow, way to rub it in barnes.
6:49 the player punched krip in The face and left
Lol
LOL
Meme decks only, 15% turn 2 OTK mech hunters, 15% discard/draw warlocks, 30% OTK inner fire priests, 30% ramp/mill droods, 10% original decks, same as meta.
that is nothing like the meta lol
Jody Boles Exactly like the meta, 3 or 4 decks rules them all, lol lol, slowbrains.
si lafuyang dude i have yet to see any of these in ladder besides discard/draw warlock. besides that the others arent in meta at all lol
Jody Boles I DID NOT write that these decks are in the meta, I wrote that there are 3-4 decks that everybody is using and there are OTHER 3-4 decks that everybody is using in the meta, despite the large quantity of cards, copy-past decks are everywhere.
Elemental Destruction + Healing Wave + Prince Malchezaar - beats nearly every deck as long as you can mulligan into an opening hand of at least one ED and healing wave.
quack
that profile describes what our world have become
a duck
The kripperino i always needed. Literally saved my life. Thank you for your time :*
that duckerino is carrying the Σ virus
M'duck
you are the man! pardon me, you are the Duck! I look for you in every video. keep quacking mr. quack
I heard reno is preety good in this brawl...
aron9forever i see sarcasam isn't your strong side...
Sure. Reno Jackson, Warlock Card, Renounce Darkness.
this brawl sucks
You will still have 10 fucking renos...
Ooh Sorry You'll get through those 9 Renos in no time.
Justto clarify the chance is closer to 1 in a 5 million
10/30*10/29*10/28...*10/13 = 0.00000018 (this is if you draw 17 cards in a row without an innervate not counting the mulligan cause that is more complicated)
Yeah, the moment he said "1 in a thousand" I immediately had to calculate it for myself.
I guess Kripp doesn't know how to math correctly anymore
It's actually (20/30)*(19/29)*...*(5/15)*(4/14), which is about 1 in 105,000.
Still, much more unlucky than '1/1000'.
He realisedlater that he did it wrong because he just used 1/3*(2^17) but whatever. You forgot 3/13 which brings it to 1 in 500,000 but yea yours is correct i was thinking of doing it the other way around and kinda screwed up
True, guess my probabilities are getting a bit rusty aswell
Simao Coimbra Yea in my case i should have added instead of multiplied and then subtracted that from 1
2:52 SKIP THE GASTER KRIPPER
imposter calling the Σ hunters now
***** your fake too.
I was elected as many times as there're cards in this tavern brawl.
I seriously think that this is one of the best of brawls ever. Much replay value and creativity into making a fun deck. :)
20:13 It's a lot worse than that. I think you did (2/3)^17 which is around 1 in a thousand (10^3). It's actually (20/30).(19/29). ... .(4/14)= (20!/3!)/(30!/13!) which is about 1 in a HUNDRED THOUSAND (10^-5). So, yeh, that was pretty bad.
exactly what I was thinking, thank you :D
I did pretty well with Flametongue totem, Thing from below and evolve. Similar to Kripp's Nerubian prophet deck, except the thing from below's consistently stay at a low price when you draw new ones.
Flame leviathan counter mill druid?
Flame leviathan needs to go to the hand to be able to activate, just like beneath the ground needs an empty hand slot to work, otherwise it just discards itself
gang up, prep, backstab. and wait for the perfect match
best way to counter mill druid, is to play knife juggler, wisp and tinyfin, in one turn you play your hand, and he fills your hand up again , and you basicly win! :P
With the last clip, the opponent essentially did the milling job for you, and gave you a free win lol
Why didn't you put me in a deck?! You could destroy your hero 10 times. Wait... that means you would have destroyed me 9 times... Well... I guess my idea isn't as good as I thought...
OMG that's me in the first match! 3:00 hahaha I remember this match, but I did not even look at the name of my opponent. I only played this deck a few times for fun. It's not fantastic but at least something different. lol
The brawl hungers!
Σ hungers too
I've been having good luck with Warrior -> Upgrade / Dread Corsair / Bloodsail Cultist. As long as you get 2-3 Upgrades played by the end of turn 2 it wins against most of the popular decks, and gets through the Druid mill decks just fine. Some problems vs Hunter Mech and Shaman Murloc
sheildblock/bolster/ protect the king is fun
I tried it, but people just stop playing minions and I lose.
what about target dummy?
and the 1 mana minnion with taunt
..... 1 mana minion 0-4 with taunt....
ok, this is a top 3 not top 5 >_> sheildblock for life/draw and the other combo
- Unstable Portal
- Arcane Blast
- Mana Wyrim
Works pretty well everytime aside from mill Druid.
- Beckoner of Evil
- Innervate
- C'thun
is fun too.
I was watching this live last night haha
grats!
The secretly powerful decks I've found:
1. Farsight, Emperor Thaurissan, and Coldlight Oracle (this is an expansion on the Farsight Thaurissan that was successful for me in the Top 2 Brawl, but this time you fill your hand.)
2. Upgrade, Orgrimar Aspirant, and Garrison Commander (improvement on my Top 2 brawl deck which could only inspire once per turn).
3. Tunnel Trogg, lightning bolt, and ancestral knowledge.
4. Wicked Witch doctor, primal might (+1/+1 for each totem), and the guy that costs 1 less for each totem you've summoned.
Also, I don't have KT, but if I did, I would try Barnes, Reincarnate, and Kel'Thuzad. I'm surprised I haven't seen that yet.
Mech hunters and mill Druids are fucking cancerous in this brawl.
Blizzard plz nerf
Babyrage
Anti-Mill Druid: Innervate + Living Roots + Power of the Wild
"Why, thank you for all these cards"
+Dank Backslide yeah, there are some counters lie Malchezaar or smth, but the point is that those decks kill the fun aspect of brawl. You can't play any creative and interesting decks..
Yeah. People lack of imagination. I tried some funny combinations but if you get nothing but mill/mech classes against you there's really no point, as you can't win them anyway. You just end up losing at the turn 2. I wish it was controlled a bit better.
Mainly just mill lol
Priest with Thalnos, Smite and Mind Blast seemed to have done all right vs minion light decks, including mill Druid.
A fun one was Pagle, Loot Hoarder, Cold Blood.
I won every brawl I've played using conceal coldblooded and dragonhawk rider
Barn? aaand the dragonhawk conceal coldblood deck wins against barnes y'shaarj and innervate so easy
Innervate, Yogg and Moonfire
mill druid is ez to beat with a priest deck. you go circle healing, embrace the shadow and prince malchezaar. They can't mill you hard enough. and the combo kills their oracles or any other aggro kind of deck. It loses to more control kind of decks tho.
I haven't lost to a mill druid by using fiery war axe, upgrade and heroic might (Or whatever its called). they can't mill you faster than you can smash their faces in with an axe. Plus they have nothing to naturalise but their own minions.
Most of the decks are now using taunts and/or doomsayers. If the opponent has taunt, you just lost with that deck
How the fuck are people not tired of Hearthstone at this point?
Unreal.
People are, the competitive scene is dying and people are slowly getting tired of the games bullshit.
How the fuck does one even pronounce your name at this point?
Unreal.
Seriously?
To be fair though, right after WoG the game became an aggro/midrange haven. There are no complicated control or combo decks anymore. There's none of the fun to be had with decks like Handlock, or Freeze Mage which were quite difficult to pilot decks and at the same time they fashioned a pretty high WR%.
It's all about curving your plays mindlessly these days and even priest who was holding up with the whole "curving" in his playstyle, has succumbed to either non-playability or midrange focused decks.
Truly something needs to change hard or we're driving ourselves in a pretty big stalemate here.
IliasMWr
By not being a filthy plebeian, for starters.
bark...
11:34 don't you just love it when that happens
If you are a beginner with just a few cards, this brawl is the worst.
If you just got to level 20 you have enough dust or enough cards to craft the one or two cards needed to win at least a few matches.
the 10 mana brawl is the worst for new players
Reno Jackson You mean too tall to brawl? Or start the game with 10 mana brawl?
Both of those are sort of "High cost, high value cards win." brawls but I don't know if one is harder than the other.
Oda Swifteye these two are hard to win if you dont have alexstrasza and ragnaros
or y'saraj. hell pull out a ton of cards
I played 30 matches with Hunter: Mechwarper, Annoy-a-tron, and Metal Leaper and went 25-5. My losses were 2 vs Mill Druid (poor mulligan decisions both times), 1 vs Bolster Warrior, 1 vs Priest Massive Taunt Shield Guy, and 1 vs Mage w/Ice Block, Medivh's Valet, and Arcane Intellect. The majority of my opponents (about 50%) were Mill Druid.
I think this brawl is garbage...why do people like this?
Calm down bro! Remember to breath!
fastest gold farming and questing ever
dude, chill
its easy wins and easy gold. do i need to say more? lol
Because there are enormous number of awesome combos that you can try. And people with at least average intellect are ought to try and love it. Strangely enough, some idiots love it too - because of easy gold farm. Other idiots just plain hate it.
Lol at 17:14 the nerubian locking Yogg out.
14:08
you got revived as a Σ great. but be aware of the Σ hunters
I must ask, what does the new trend of the greek symbol mean? People are saying its about Megaman, so i assume its GDQ or speedrunning related?
BL4CKBL4Z3 yes it's about megaman and Σ symbol means maverick not GDQ or speed running related
Oh, alright, is there further explanation, or is it just a fad?
BL4CKBL4Z3 here's a link for m9re information:megaman.wikia.com
The funniest thing to do in this Brawl is run Malchezar and some board wipe - your deck becomes 60 cards, then you just wait for the Mill Druid Mathcup (which is like 80% of this Brawl's meta) and you watch them INSTA CONCEADE as soon as the game begins.
Auchenai soulpriest, flash heal, circle of healing is pretty effective. Unless you die before you can play the soulpriest, you should be in a good spot.
ehm, embrace the shadow for soulpriest ?
embrace the shadow works well
I think embrace the shadow might be more effective in some situations, but sometimes it's nice to have a minion to do damage aswell.
So far I have 15-3 with this deck, so it is quite powerful.
innervate wild growth yogg was fun. Usually gets absolutely destroyed by mill since yogg usually draws cards anyways, but it was still fun, and sometimes it did surprisingly well.
When Kripps first combo featured was the same one you thought of as your first. Fuck yeah
Hey Kripp, I put together a few Rogue BM decks for Mill Druid. Fairy Dragon, Zealous Initiate, Backstab (100% win-rate against mill). Sinister Strike, Leper Gnome and Backstab also worked well. Had some fun with Murloc Tidehunter, Shadowstep and Cold Blood, but it relied on you going second with the coin.
Malchazar, Lightning Storm, and Healing Wave was a fun combo. It's not super powerful but it shits on mill druid and leads to some fun games against others.
I had a couple of fun decks i found
MAGE: Mirror Image + Babbling Book + Mana Wyrm
DRUID: Mark of y'sharaj + Innverate + Power of the Wild
had much fun with
Mage: Iceblock, Fireball, Bloodmage Thalnos
Warlock: Fist of Jaraxxus, Soulfire, Malchezaar's Imp
inervate, Mark of Ya'sherash, angry chicken. I swear i came up with that on my own. I'm probably not the only one to use it though. Not amazing but SOOOOO much fun.
Innervate, fairy dragon, and loatheb, It counters pretty much any spell deck and most decks people play rely on spells.
As soon as the tavern brawl opened up, I use innervate, barnes, and ragnaros. I got my pack and got the hell out of there. I knew things were gonna get insane later on.
that last smirk... LOL
It's interesting how different the decks on the Eu and NA Server are. I played like 30 games and never saw the worgen infiltraitor Deck
I had fun playing Ancestor's Call, Y'Shaarj and Windfury. Not great because you can't win before turn 5 (4 with coin) but entertaining when it works
Pls correct me if im wrong but
probabylity of drawing Innervate as 17th card is:
(10/30)*(10/29)*(10/28)*...*(10/14)*(10/13)= aprox. 2/10 000 000 000
Mana addict, windfury and rockbiter weapon. Play the addict on like turn 2 or 3, then cast windfury and a bunch of rockbiters on it to buff it to shit. Can also use doomhammer and elemental destruction as a replacement: Gather up enough rockbiters to OTK your opponent, and keep yourself alive with the elemental destruction.
playing coldlight, innervate, naturalize is scummy as fuck. i just insta concede against druids because its so fucking boring
but very effective and easy gold :)
play innervate, astral communion, Prince Mal. It literally hard counters mill but most mill players are to stupid to realise that and try anyway. They can only get 20 cards (10 naturalise) ahead in fatigue since coldlight draws symmertical, but you have 30 more cards then them. They literally can't mill you so their only chance is to get cold lights to stick and hit face. Good luck with that when you're facing a selection of up to 10 random legendarys every turn.
If you don't have Malchazar you can also try evolve with 0 cost minions( murloc and wisp). Always win against mill Druid cancer
My anti mill-druid deck is, Innervate, Barnes, Deathwing Dragonlod. When deathwing is naturalized the draw mechanic is triggered before the deathrattle, so if you draw any deathwings during the naturalize, they are immediately summoned.
This deck also works well against 90% of the other decks.
Thanks, I am so sick of fighting mill druids... I will see if I have these cards.
I had fun with Abomination+AncestralSpirit+HealingWave [Shaman]
Pretty slow & all, but if ye can survive long enough, it's GG!!
Also the fact that brawl was flooded with smaller minions meant that Healing was always +14hp!
Love your combos. For fun I used innervate, beckoner of evil, C'Thun and never lost one match, including a match against a coldlight/naturalize combo.
I am up to 16 battles and still have not lost once.
Firstly, GOOO VEGAN!!!
I had a fun one with mana addicts and power overwhelming. 4 mana addicts + 5 power overwhelming made for a lot of dmg!
Also, armorsmith + frothing berserker + whirlwind made for big armour + damage
1:30 kripps version of "it's time to dudududu"
Innervate+Thaurissan+Swipe/Starfall
I've had SO much fun with this!
First game of the video, one min in and already an important missplay(not playing torch before drawing cards). Gotta love the casual lord Kripp
Is it weird that I made the discard warlock originally deck to try to counter the druid combo..
Fun deck for this is Rogue: Shadowstep, wisp, and that 2/2 that summoms a 2/1. Floods your board fast and no decks run board clears
Priest Deck: Zombie Chow, Embrace the Shadows, Circle Healing. Good Times.
Im currently on 28 wins 2 losses with knife juggler+ murlic tide hunter + the murloc tidecaller. Its realy powerful for fast wins.
The first deck that Kripp thought was 'above the power curve' for drawing their whole deck on turn four or five and the second was for forcing their opponent to draw their whole deck on turn four or five.
One of my favorites was Barnes, death wing dragon lord, and yasera. Turn four Barnes summons a 1/1 deathwing, (most of the time), it dies, pulls all the other deathwings in my hand, board now full of 12/12 and 4/12
Upgrade, Dread Corsair and Bloodsail Cultist roflstomps Mill Druid. And a lot of other decks. Pop those 0 mana taunts as fast as you draw them, while you smash and slash with your heavy axe of ever rowing proportions.
Innervate Barnes and either Rag or Deathwing Dragonlord is always good for a laugh, but it depends a lot on RNG.
That rouge deck was a pretty cool idea, went on a winstreak with it myself
I had a ton of fun with an exodia mage combo - sorcerer's apprentice, arcane intellect and forgotten torch. Basically just survive until you can get 3 apprentice in play, then both spells are free for a (usually) infinite damage combo. Gets wrecked by mill ofc, but other than that super fun, kill your opponent in one turn from nothing XD
typed comment b4 watching... literally first clip is exactly that combo... i feel dumb
Rogue's Barnes + Y'Shraaj + Gang Up has to be insane.
Deathrattle Paladin: Runic Egg, Nerubian Egg, Scarlet Cleanser (I forgot the name but it is a 3 mana 4/3: Battlecry deal 2 damage to minions with Deathrattle) it curves out nicely
My warrior deck is ravenous ghoul, execute and rampage. Not the best of strategies but it does the trick.
I found that Murloc tidehunter, tinyfin and everyfin is awesome counters mill Druid pretty well
But you die on turn 5 max and they can kill most of your minions with coldlights and that 1 mana spell...
I ended up making a mini handlock deck, mountain giants, sunfury protectors and antique healbots. Absolutely hilariously fun
I did a token Druid deck. Never lost and got my "win 5 tavern brawl". It was
Innervate - violet teacher - Raven idol. It was great
I played these 3 Rogue cards: Prep, beneath the grounds, cold light . was pretty fun and i beat that warlock discard deck with it
I really enjoyed playing (n'zoth's first mate, bloodsail cultist, upgrade) and (shieldbarrier, bolster, rampage) no netdecking ofc
Putting cheese aside, the Druid probably had the most options in this Brawl due to being able to either form long chains or get anything out early with Innervate.
the deck i had most fun with in this brawl is innervate, beckoner of evil, C'thun
I had the exact opposit problem - 6 innervates , no oracles
11:53 the feels bro damn barnes barnes barnes barnes
Came up with a counter for the bs mill druid deck since I was facing so many of them. Like seriously, 3 out of 5 games on average. Blood Imp, Voidwalker, Power overwhelming. Blood imps can't be targeted, so F naturalize, so you have something to pump up with PO and the void walkers are intentional targets for naturalize so you can get the PO's you need to OTK your opponent.
one I had fun with was intervate auctioneer and mark of wild
Auchenai soul priest/ embrace the shadow + Circe of healing + flash heal is the best one. Counters almost everything except that death wing Druid.
Hard counter to everything you mention: Target Dummy, Shield bearer, Bolster. 10 Wins in a row, crush every single druid and warlock
Kripp, try Priest -> Mind Vision, Forbidden Shaping and Doomsayer = TONS of fun and wins pretty often so far
so this video is the reason for the 20 times more mill druids in the brawl than 2 days ago.. thx kripp it was fun while it lasted
My favorite one was
Wicked witchdoctor, totemic might, primal infusion.
I had fun with a blood imp, crazed alchemist and a demon boost to make it quicker/removal
At 17:20 when buddy realizes the Weblord just put his Yogg out of casting range and Innervate can't take you higher than 10.
Deck I ran: Target Dummy, Shieldbearer, Bolster
