    Many have a question why Indian Navy doesn't want Single engine Tejas on Vikrant . That's because it takes lot of stress on one engine when the entire aircraft that lands and takes a cable in order to stop the entire aircraft before it reaches it's landing end . If it's unable to catch the cable , there won't be enough thrust to send it into air because there is no elevation on landing side . That's why all deck based fighter jets are twin engine, except F 35 and Sea Harrier which does vartical landing instead of STOBAR mechanism.

    • @asmityadav4216
      @asmityadav4216 Год назад +3

      Its the takeoff which puts a lot of pressure on the engine. Catobar and Emals reduce that stress on the engine and hence better.
      Stobar has this disadvantage.

    The main reason is mig-29k right from the design stage especially the aircraft's airframe has not been designed to be ruggedized enough to withstand hard carrier deck landing and take-off.
    One possible solution for these is use of 360° or 3 dimensional vectored thrust capabilities similar to mig-29ovt version by fitting thrust vectoring nozzles to the present engines thus allowing it for lower landing and take-off speed
    giving it a STOL(shorter take off and landing) capabilities and also thus reducing aerodynamic stress on the aircraft airframes during take off and landing but the flip side of it would be an added weight due to vectored thrust nozzles at the tail.

    Indian Navy will keep facing such issues unless the navy re-structures it's methods and it's very idea of a blue navy carrier strike group . . . Indian Navy needs a fleet of brand new Fortitude class U-CMMR® PWR3 iSMARTFuelCell N-IEP powered 84,693 ton (92,055 ton loaded) stealth (CATOBAR) aircraft carrier . . . then comes the air wing, atleast 88 - 93 brand new navalized carrier borne F/A-18E Super Hornet (Block IV) maritime multi role fighter interceptor . . . through private sector equity solutions future naval projects can be realized without having to blow the defense budget . . .

      Russians have never been good at the avionics side , one problem that occurs while upgrading the avionics is the mission computer. If we had to an upgrade to the avionics then starting from the mission computer we need to develop everything from scratch. It is because we have upgraded avionics for airforce mig 29 but those will not be suitable for naval mig 29. The second things is the integration of all the systems and missiles and a new flight control system. Even if we develop all these it will take minimum 10 years for them to be operational. Instead buying new aircraft is more feasible.

    India will Never buy FA 18 due to the conditions that will be set by america. The best option could be rafale because it will not come with certain conditions. All your future fighter jets are on the paper. #Defencematrix Are you 100% sure that your future fighter jets will be completed on time. By looking at the ground report still your airforce and navy is not able to choose a fighter jet for their respective squadrons despite having a luxrious options.

    • @satyamevajayate7263

      Single engine aircraft is dengerous for aircraft carrier. It take lot of stress on one engine when the entire aircraft lands and takes a cable in order to stop the entire aircraft before it reaches it's landing end . That's why all deck based fighter jets are twin engine except F 35 and Sea Harrier which does vartical landing .

I don't know what in heaven's sake GOI and IN are waiting for to induct F/A-18 or Rafale. And why even after 6 years more Rafales or F/A-18 not ordered for IAF when 36 were ordered in place of 126.

  • @MrAniruddhajog
    @MrAniruddhajog Год назад

    There is a simple solution.
    You tell the navy to get commonality with IAF, something which they are resisting without any logical reason.
    Order 2 squadrons of Rafale marine along with your MRFAs which will help keep Rafale marine’s cost down and you can also negotiate with Dassault for modifying Rafale M wing design to add a folding mechanism.
    This stupidity has been stretched far too long with Indian navy being given a choice to test FA-18 in the first place.
    This should’ve never happened.
    Buy one jet for both IAF and INS.
    The end.

    Why you keep saying it as a modern aircraft when we all know that it's an Russian made aircraft. It's not a western aircraft on which we can easily relay on it. All the modern countries are now setting back from Russian military equipments, why we can't. Do we need to show 1000 sacrifice to remove an aircraft fleet like mig 21. Please do not support these old aircrafts like Mirage, Mig 29 and Jaguar too. These are old aircrafts and although they are modified but still we need modern aircraft on time because we have huge threat from modern Rader and surface to air missiles and also other modern aircraft. Please do not support.

    I really like mig29 such a beautiful aircraft, I often think why airforce and navy not even considering mig 35s since it's a 4.5++gen jet and considering it's cost and capabilities it's quite good of a deal. We are producing engines locally also. So in theory we could have got a good deal with mig. But than this type of incidents happens and these are like reality checks. But still I hope airforce's mig29 have better records.

In August last year, another newly built dual seat model crashed only a year after being made and 96 hours of flight time, according to Pakistani newspaper Dawn.
