Hello Phil! Regarding the Mig-29 K (9-41), it's a different beast from Mig-29 that GWH did, 9-12 , 9-13 , 9-19 .It's like F-18 A-D and F-18 E-F , only the dimensions of the engines are same , but they are different too , RD-93 , on the early RD-33.Fuselage , wings , tail's , horizontals , landing gear , everything is bigger. The ground version is Mig-29 M2 ,two seater navy is KUB , the canopy is same between single and two seater. by the way , Great review !
I have been somewhat put off in building another Hobbyboss aircraft kit. I built their 1/48 FA-18F Super Hornet kit earlier this year. That one did not go together that well. The back of the fuselage around the engines needed a lot of filler. But the worse part for me was the decals. I found them awful. Some broke up on me. I had to touch up a couple of the decals with paint. It looked OK in the end if you don't look too close. Not sure I would build another Hobbyboss aircraft kit.
Thank you for this video! I have few general questions: 1) please could you suggest a tool set for a person who tries to enter this hobby including air brushes etc. Idk maybe there are good all-in-one kits that have everything you need to start building such models. 2) Are there any transkits and photo etched parts for the models in this scale? I like cars in large scale i.e. 1:8, and the market for enhanced parts is very small i.e. there are metal parts for a few famous models but other models don't have such luck, and nobody is making parts for them. PS: I see folks here also noticed the typo on the tail decal of the dark gray (left) plane.
nice kit just a bit disappointed about the the cockpit panel i would prefer some raised detail ! well looks flat panel !even if quinta would do the cockpit in 3 D the pit panel was better with raised panel just for to give option
I'm honestly in disbelief they released that! I have been waiting for so long. Now i'm just waiting for a new 1/48 sabb gripen

He's trolling hard everyone knows mig-29k has nothing to do with normal mig-29 but it looks like he's sniffing glue too much for the past two decades

Another fantastic kit review. I look forward to your next review. Enjoy your weekend.
Trumpeter/HobbyBoss is notorious for their typos in Russian inscriptions but this time they really outdone themselves making one in the biggest decal.
This looks like it will be a fun kit to build.
The long wait is over!!
This is the naval version of the land based MiG-35, which is slightly different from the 29.

Hi. Where did you get your kit ?

I would have thought the MiG-29K would be one of the more interesting subjects because nobody ever builds it.
Any color call-outs for the various bits and pieces or is some research required by the model builder?
From the view of the instructions it look like there are colour call outs. How accurate they are is another matter.
thanks! wish it was mentioned in the review.@@richardgardner3695
Only down fall of this kit is the expensive price tag.
