@@zombie821 please give me a number and i will play it in the lottery!! i started one RMA on September and the whole process took 2 months! I guess this is random for each one.
Same issue for me. The LED on the wheelbase worked initially, but after connecting the wheelbase to my PC, it's now exactly as you show in this video - unresponsive wheel base, but the wheel itself gets power. This happened after 15 minutes so I haven't even had a chance to drive with the wheel yet lol. If it's firmware related, it's crazy if there isn't some form of hard reset to factory default available. From what I see here I have a long and fun time with Fanatec customer service ahead of me. yay...
RMA it, I did it with mine because of coil whine, sent it for repair two weeks ago but they’re sending me new one instead, and I just got tracking number which is pretty quick 👍
Any update? My CS DD is bricked now too. 2 seconds After Power ON inadvertently powered off for xbox mode (holding down the power button) then the base was powered off. Now nothing happens and I cant power on it. DON't POWER OFF WHEN YOUR BASE IS BOOTING UP!
You got one? I still haven't even got a shipping label to return mine yet... I did a chargeback on my credit card instead. I'm done with fanatec. First and last purchase I will ever make from them.
they swapped it with another RMA that got fixed if i had to guess. New one has a bug where i have to update it everytime i turn it on... But im happy with it because it has no coil noise and it powers the steering wheel everytime now.
I bought my GT extreme bundle in April/24 and brought it to Brazil, where I live. It turns out that today when I connected it to my PC and opened the Fanatec app, it recognized it as PS mode, and when I pressed the power button for 3 seconds, it simply died. I opened a support protocol. It would be absurd if it simply stopped working after less than 6 months of light use, I used it for a maximum of 50 hours in that entire period.
I am meaning to make an update video but basically they finally sent me an RMA on feb 1st and on feb 6th it arrived at their Texas rma place id guess. i have been left in the dark since, they never sent me an email saying my base arrived. i had to check fedex tracking to know. i have no idea when my base will be back i haven't been able to play for over a month now. pretty disappointed.
At this point i really wish i bought something else. they always take at least a week to reply which is terrible. They recently replied to my email where i was asking where my base was after 3 weeks at their Texas RMA center this was their answer: Hello Pierrick, thanks for the reply. The entire repair process, including shipping etc, is very hard to predict as shipping times may differ. I cannot give you an accurate estimation for the repair process. In most cases, it should take no longer than 2 weeks. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Try holding the button for at least 10 seconds for recovery mode. Mine once bricked during a firmware update a few months ago and I tried holding the button 10 seconds and it went to recovery mode. No problems since then
I used the extra t-nuts for M8 screws that came with the Trak Racer frame not the ones that came with the base. Aside from that Trak Racer did a poor job with their Fanatec mount for the DD & DD+ having to use 2 of their shims on both sides.
I had a very similar problem with my csl dd mounted to my rig which looks similar to yours. I noticed the power switch didn't feel right on my wheel and It ended up being that I torqued the screw closest to the switch a little too tight and it prevented the wheel from working. I loosened it up and the problem went away. If that works for you I recommend move the mount back a bit further away from the power switch and give it less torque on that one screw.
