Maru quit robotics, Sam quit music, Sebastian settles into the farm life nice enough but barely hangs out with Sam and Abigail anymore. It's so sad, they just stand around the farm all day! What I’ve always thought is the reason Sam, Jodie, and Vincent hate daffodils is because they were Kent’s favorite flower, and it made them too sad (especially Sam and Jodie, as Vincent was too young to really grasp the idea that Kent might be killed)

Fun fact! if you need all that garbage for Linus' quest, fishing in the lil bathhouse pond outside gives you nothing but garbage. Not available in the winter, but its a super easy way to finish that quest (+ get a few paintings!)
Tip: For the Linus quest to clean up the town, if you go to the mines and go to the level with the red pool of water, you pretty much only fish up trash there. And it counts.

I agree, I am a senior citizen who has been through a hard life, but once I met and married my husband (who I have a happy marriage with for the last 40 years) I realize that that Character, Elliot, reminds me of my husband (minus the career, my husband is nit a writer) My husband is still so sweet and romantic after all these years of marriage. These guys are out there in life, if you find one appreciate him, makes life easier no matter what hardship you have to face.
Elliott is so sweet, he literally makes me squeal every time he talks from how adorable he is! I think people hate him because his character design makes people expect Rich Prick so they continue to project Rich Prick onto him even after disproving that. He's also a little autism coded to me cuz he doesn't seem to realize that behaving like a character from a book doesn't work in real life and makes people think you're a tool. Genuinely oblivious. Just FYI you do not need to wait for the magnifying glass to get the Junimo Plush. You can get it in the first month of the game if you know the time/date/location - it does not matter if you have the secret note!

When you marry him, one of the lines he says before bedtime is like "I wouldn't trade you for 1 iridium bar" and it goes up until you hit 1000 iridium bars, at which point he says "Well.. Elliot is the sweetest bachelor in this game, hands down. He is really mature and respectful towards the player from the beginning, inquires about the farm, is genuinely happy whenever he gets a visit in his little beach cottage, he's well read, cares about animals and the environment, writes you a whole book and lovely letters... I seriously don't get the hate. I just want to sit at the beach with him and braid his gorgeous hair. I can't stand how disrespectful some of the townsfolk are, especially in the beginning when nearly everyone treats the farmer like trash...

Exactly, I don't understand the hate, he's literally like one of the first people to actually learn your name and listen, he's so sweet and literally only gives me compliments, he also does way more on the farm than anyone else for some reason, like every other day I'll wake up and the crops will be watered or the animals will be fed. I also like Elliott's heart events a lot, his 8 and 10 heart events (Not to mention the 14th heart event) are so adorable. The only ones I feel are a close second and third are Alex and Haley. I don't know why ppl hate on him so much. It always makes me sad whenever I see people just treating him crappy for no reason. (PS I get he's kinda hard to get to date, with his favorite things being hard to obtain, but I mean, so is Sebastian and Penny, and I don't see them getting nearly as much hate as Elliott.) There's a mod that enables the regular crops to grow as forage so you can collect them without having to buy seeds and they'll work in a seedmaker like normal crops, so you can cut out Pierre all together. There's also a market mod that lets you own a market stall that runs on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday, so you can sell direct to villagers (and modded villagers from other locations as well, and Raffdax Complete Production adds even more crops to grow if you want more of a challenge)

Re the backpack: Sure, you can only get it in Pierre's shop, but you also don't have to talk to/interact with him to get it, so technically you'd be clear to get it, depending on how willing you are to bend that rule.

His house/shop is able to be entered until 8pm, unless you have the key to the town, and you can get it at any time of day. So technically he doesn't actually sell it. I look at it as he's letting Lewis sell it in the shop so Lewis doesn't have to deal with you. Lol.

I forget which tool it was, but I temporarily lost/misplaced one of my tools the other day on Coral Island and I was panicking so much. Seeing you do the same thing makes me feel much better; it could happen to anybody! We got through it, girl
just in case no one has said it yet, fish tank(or I guess pond in this case) water is really good for plants! The poop they make is basically a fertilizer. I have a handful of fish tanks, and every water change, I keep some of the water to give to my plants. It's all around a massive win for everyone, fish get better water, plants get better water, and less water wasted
You don't need the note for the plush. Just go to the bush at noon on the 28th and shake it. It has been in the game since before notes were a thing. You can get the stone junimo behind the center early too, probably also the gold statue but I never tried it.
I didn’t even know there was a not for the junimo plush and statue( I have never made it to winter(or fall lol) and found out from a RUclips vid) but I tried and I don’t think you can get the Lewis statue. Or at least I couldn’t find it even thought I knew how to get it

I was legit on the edge of my seat for both the Junimo Kart and Prairie King segments; extremely well done!! Even though the Living Hat may have eluded you this time, I have faith that it will reveal itself when the time is right. For now though, the goals and restrictions you put in place for these 100 days made for a really fun and unique experience. Not being able to buy the backpack is a massive burden for sure, but it's worth it to keep Pierre's greed in check. And the idea for a farmer's market is really cute! The past hour of watching this really just flew by. Can't wait to see what you come up with next! 💖

secret tip for doing this quest (55:46): fish level 100 of the mines. it's not mentioned on the wiki but because there's only three choices in the fishing pool the player pulls trash really quickly
Don't fear destroying anything else either, since the first update way back healthy plants take several scythe hits to break. (so that you can harvest wheat from out the middle somewhere, for example)

The thing about Dino eggs being hard was BEFORE the dion enemies were added to the game! Before those things came, getting a Dino egg could only be done by hoeing the ground of fishing. And let me tell you it was HELL to find. Completely rng based. It was so hard that someone found some wallpaper glitch where if you put a certain wallpaper in an incubater in a fully upgraded coop, it would hatch a Dino which could then lay eggs. Since it was so stupidly hard to get (or since you had to deep dive google to find out about the wallpaper thing) that’s probably why they decided to add the Dino floor in the mines
@@LBElbee Even now, you can still do that for the missing bundle. Just put that green wallpaper in the missing bundle slot lol, saved me a good chunk of time!

I only married Sebastian to see why people liked him so much (I think it's mainly because everyone wants him out of his bad situation and flip Demetrius off). Never married Sam or Shane. Elliot is the best bachelor BUT I am still mad about the 10 heart event. (SPOILERS) Starting it off with “hey” felt so out of character 😭 not to mention how he compliments you and takes it back. It could’ve been fixed by saying something like “I would have finished my novel regardless but you were the extra push I needed. For that, I thank you. Throughout my time knowing you, I learned something about myself. I always thought I could rely on myself and soley that but clearly I was mistaken. Look where that got me, [y/n.] I appreciate everything you have done for me. I can recognize my own strengths while acknowledging the aide of others.” LIKE IT’S THAT’S SIMPLE :( oh well. Still love him regardless

I'm sure others have mentioned it, but you can't get the Living Hat from fiber seeds. Tip for it: I got mine after two days of dedicated farming (on max good luck days) from floor 81. Its a small floor so you can easily see all the fiber around once you spawn, and a good way to get extra gems and gold/copper ore that spawn. Good luck!
"Elliott is the best bachelor" that's it, it's time to subscribe. I love Elliott too. I walked up to him and went "ooh, who are you? What a lovely lady" saw his sprite and went "a man with long hair and fancy clothes? Even better" and then simped for him throughout my first playthrough. He's just a good gentle boy that loves you. I adore him :) Edit: I've beaten Junimo Kart because it's far easier than Prairie King to me. Well, Glowshroom Grotto is the worst one for me because I can never make it past those small pink mushrooms that spit stuff. Only beaten Glowshroom once or twice. I had a perfect run, got to Glowshroom, and failed because of the moving purple mushrooms that were a near impossible jump. I also suck at Gem Sea Giant because the bubbles either cause me to fall or leave no opening for me to get it. I find Slomp's Stomp so easy and you can actually skip the boss/3rd level by beating the second level at a fast pace. It isn't precise how, but getting a lot of the slope jumps and speeding up usually does it. But I finally beat the game after about a month of playing. It's a mix of luck with good platforms, saving lives or achieving more, and then getting the good levels that are easy for you (even number of coins for Slomp's Stomp, odd for Gem Sea Giant tho I may be wrong, they are affected by the even or odd number of coins.) But for real, I've cried and had emotional breakdowns far too much over Junimo Kart. These arcade games are by far some of the worst. I literally failed just before the end of Sunset Speedway once. But I did also beat it with no remaining lives. It is not really worth it, but I feel proud I can say that I've beat it. So now I can "relax" when playing it. Though some rocks/jumps still remain incredibly unfair and some of Glowshroom Grotto really requires a practically perfect jump/speed to get through. Edit 2: Tip for anyone wanting to play Junimo Kart Progress Mode. At sunset speedway, follow what the example before the level does. You don't have to jump on every single one. Focus on jumping longer distances and if you die, try doing the other long distance. For example, say it's a stairway of four up. You try one and three first but die, but two and four allow you a way to land near the lantern. Do that. Also make sure to pause before you start the final level to allow yourself thoughts. I'm usually shaking badly by the time I get there so it helps so you can process the jumps and obstacles a LOT better. Also make sure you get there with more than 3 lives. It helps a lot. So if you struggle to get there with lives, focus on learning the patterns of the other ones. I usually on struggle in Red Hot Rollercoast for not calculating the distance I need for a jump correctly or having boulders that mess up my jump and cause me to lose a life. Also my score is 71,000 in Endless Mode and I genuinely don't know how I managed to get that far. I have not gotten that far in points since. Edit 3: because I hate Junimo Kart tho I love it. I'd get so emotionally wrecked after a loss of a run before I beat it that I have literally bought 8 beers one night and 20 another night just to feel something. Which is probably a big reason I should not drink irl and I am glad I don't, haha. But no, it's so painful. I was shaking so badly after I beat it that I paused before it played the ending just to question my entire life. It's...It's an experience.
Interesting. I wondered if it has to do with Kent being conscripted into the war in Spring, in comparison to how Kent *loves* Daffodil because it reminds him of the season when he was out of the war and got to go home.

I always get it the last day of spring in the first year which is well before when you unlock the magnifying glass in winter year one. There’s your source

Fun fact for those who care: If you read the note on your grandfather's shrine, it will say to "wait until the dawn of your third year." On the first day of your third year, you'll witness a cutscene (no spoilers here). After this cutscene, if you interact with the shrine, you'll receive something called the Statue of Perfection, which, when placed, gives you a stack of iridium ore every day. The amount varies, ranging anywhere from 2 to 8. When I got it, I got SUPER lazy. Made a few iridium sprinklers, put them in my greenhouse and as a result, was allowed to completely forget about the crops I had planted in there. Having that thing makes the game basically an easy mode playthrough.
You don't need the magnifying glass for the junimo plush, you actually don't need it for any of the secret notes, or even meeting Krobus in the sewers. I managed to marry Krobus before I figured out what bush he was behind

Fun Fact: The burglar ring does something slightly different yet actually better than doubling your drops. It actually rolls your drops out of the loot table twice. It's a small difference but can play a big role in getting rare drops.

Tip: For the Linus quest to clean up the town, if you go to the mines and go to the level with the red pool of water, you pretty much only fish up trash there. And it counts.
and on the 4 corners farm there’s a little like 2x2 piece of water in the square with the farmhouse and i’ve only ever gotten trash out of it 😭😭
I think you can fish up trash on most farms. I'm playing on Forest right now and it's about 75% trash. That's how I did that quest. Fished at home. XD
The water outside the bathhouse is also a good spot, unless it's winter. Plus the recycling bin is in the same area. Very handy.

Just FYI you do not need to wait for the magnifying glass to get the Junimo Plush. You can get it in the first month of the game if you know the time/date/location - it does not matter if you have the secret note!

I also like Elliott's heart events a lot, his 8 and 10 heart events (Not to mention the 14th heart event) are so adorable. The only ones I feel are a close second and third are Alex and Haley. There's a mod that enables the regular crops to grow as forage so you can collect them without having to buy seeds and they'll work in a seedmaker like normal crops, so you can cut out Pierre all together. There's also a market mod that lets you own a market stall that runs on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday, so you can sell direct to villagers (and modded villagers from other locations as well, and Raffdax Complete Production adds even more crops to grow if you want more of a challenge)

Re the backpack: Sure, you can only get it in Pierre's shop, but you also don't have to talk to/interact with him to get it, so technically you'd be clear to get it, depending on how willing you are to bend that rule.

I have a handful of fish tanks, and every water change, I keep some of the water to give to my plants. It's all around a massive win for everyone, fish get better water, plants get better water, and less water wasted

You don't need the note for the plush. Just go to the bush at noon on the 28th and shake it. It has been in the game since before notes were a thing. You can get the stone junimo behind the center early too, probably also the gold statue but I never tried it.

Even though the Living Hat may have eluded you this time, I have faith that it will reveal itself when the time is right. For now though, the goals and restrictions you put in place for these 100 days made for a really fun and unique experience. Not being able to buy the backpack is a massive burden for sure, but it's worth it to keep Pierre's greed in check. And the idea for a farmer's market is really cute! The past hour of watching this really just flew by.

finally, someone who doesnt cover up important parts of the HUD with text! you actually put more effort into making your editing look good, insted of the bare minimum! thats a like and sub from me
secret tip for doing this quest (55:46): fish level 100 of the mines. it's not mentioned on the wiki but because there's only three choices in the fishing pool the player pulls trash really quickly
She literally did more in the mine in half a season with extra limitations than I did with no limitations within a hole year... Great
it can be easy to compare yourself to other farmers but really stardew is all about your own pace.
Also you can clear out old crops by using the scythe, it doesn't use energy and its way quicker
Don't fear destroying anything else either, since the first update way back healthy plants take several scythe hits to break. (so that you can harvest wheat from out the middle somewhere, for example)

The thing about Dino eggs being hard was BEFORE the dion enemies were added to the game! Before those things came, getting a Dino egg could only be done by hoeing the ground of fishing. And let me tell you it was HELL to find. Completely rng based. It was so hard that someone found some wallpaper glitch where if you put a certain wallpaper in an incubater in a fully upgraded coop, it would hatch a Dino which could then lay eggs.
Since it was so stupidly hard to get (or since you had to deep dive google to find out about the wallpaper thing) that’s probably why they decided to add the Dino floor in the mines
There was also a glitch where you could use a certain wallpaper in place of a prismatic shard to get the galaxy sword lol

It could’ve been fixed by saying something like “I would have finished my novel regardless but you were the extra push I needed. For that, I thank you. Throughout my time knowing you, I learned something about myself. I always thought I could rely on myself and soley that but clearly I was mistaken. I'm sure others have mentioned it, but you can't get the Living Hat from fiber seeds. Tip for it: I got mine after two days of dedicated farming (on max good luck days) from floor 81. Its a small floor so you can easily see all the fiber around once you spawn, and a good way to get extra gems and gold/copper ore that spawn. Good luck!

I love Elliott too. I walked up to him and went "ooh, who are you? What a lovely lady" saw his sprite and went "a man with long hair and fancy clothes? Even better" and then simped for him throughout my first playthrough. He's just a good gentle boy that loves you. I adore him :)
Edit: I've beaten Junimo Kart because it's far easier than Prairie King to me. Well, Glowshroom Grotto is the worst one for me because I can never make it past those small pink mushrooms that spit stuff. Only beaten Glowshroom once or twice. I had a perfect run, got to Glowshroom, and failed because of the moving purple mushrooms that were a near impossible jump.
I also suck at Gem Sea Giant because the bubbles either cause me to fall or leave no opening for me to get it. I find Slomp's Stomp so easy and you can actually skip the boss/3rd level by beating the second level at a fast pace. It isn't precise how, but getting a lot of the slope jumps and speeding up usually does it. But I finally beat the game after about a month of playing. It's a mix of luck with good platforms, saving lives or achieving more, and then getting the good levels that are easy for you (even number of coins for Slomp's Stomp, odd for Gem Sea Giant tho I may be wrong, they are affected by the even or odd number of coins.) But for real, I've cried and had emotional breakdowns far too much over Junimo Kart. These arcade games are by far some of the worst. I literally failed just before the end of Sunset Speedway once. But I did also beat it with no remaining lives. It is not really worth it, but I feel proud I can say that I've beat it. So now I can "relax" when playing it. Though some rocks/jumps still remain incredibly unfair and some of Glowshroom Grotto really requires a practically perfect jump/speed to get through.
Edit 2: Tip for anyone wanting to play Junimo Kart Progress Mode. At sunset speedway, follow what the example before the level does. You don't have to jump on every single one. Focus on jumping longer distances and if you die, try doing the other long distance. For example, say it's a stairway of four up. You try one and three first but die, but two and four allow you a way to land near the lantern. Do that. Also make sure to pause before you start the final level to allow yourself thoughts. I'm usually shaking badly by the time I get there so it helps so you can process the jumps and obstacles a LOT better. Also make sure you get there with more than 3 lives. It helps a lot. So if you struggle to get there with lives, focus on learning the patterns of the other ones. I usually on struggle in Red Hot Rollercoast for not calculating the distance I need for a jump correctly or having boulders that mess up my jump and cause me to lose a life.
Also my score is 71,000 in Endless Mode and I genuinely don't know how I managed to get that far. I have not gotten that far in points since.
Edit 3: because I hate Junimo Kart tho I love it. I'd get so emotionally wrecked after a loss of a run before I beat it that I have literally bought 8 beers one night and 20 another night just to feel something. Which is probably a big reason I should not drink irl and I am glad I don't, haha. But no, it's so painful. I was shaking so badly after I beat it that I paused before it played the ending just to question my entire life. It's...It's an experience.

once the quarry was open, u could have went into the cave over there and gotten the golden scythe which would have increased ur luck for finding items

I love the travelling merchant because I don’t like fishing… it helps a lot for the regular fish tank bundles, but I will have to fish more throughout to get perfection on my save. (btw this is my first time playing it and I’m on a switch and I dislike fishing but it is still feasible)

@@earthomon3137 I have never gotten the note before getting the plush. The Junimo plush was available before the magnifying glass was made available so there was never a need for the note first. I always get it the last day of spring in the first year which is well before when you unlock the magnifying glass in winter year one. There’s your source

Fun fact: you don't need magnifying glass to get the big Junimo Plush. I usually get it my first spring if I remember. It's always there regardless if you have the note or no.

Fun fact for those who care: If you read the note on your grandfather's shrine, it will say to "wait until the dawn of your third year." On the first day of your third year, you'll witness a cutscene (no spoilers here). After this cutscene, if you interact with the shrine, you'll receive something called the Statue of Perfection, which, when placed, gives you a stack of iridium ore every day. The amount varies, ranging anywhere from 2 to 8.
When I got it, I got SUPER lazy. Made a few iridium sprinklers, put them in my greenhouse and as a result, was allowed to completely forget about the crops I had planted in there. Having that thing makes the game basically an easy mode playthrough.
You don't need the magnifying glass for the junimo plush, you actually don't need it for any of the secret notes, or even meeting Krobus in the sewers. I managed to marry Krobus before I figured out what bush he was behind
