Thank you for all the details, the spec overlays on the video, the slow and tight shots, really helps get a much better idea what this will be like to work in, since I know customers will request it.
I want one bad but I bought the Lian Li Dan A3 after watching your setup, built it but still want the Era2 damn nice case , 5 PC's around me isn't enough Desire & Dread
Personally, I think the A3 is the better case. mATX motherboard and ATX PSU support make the overall build significantly cheaper and more versatile. Also, you can use a decent air cooler in the A3 and it supports larger GPUs as well. It's not like the Era is all that much smaller. But the Era does look nice!
@@ChrisOstreicherthe A3 is the better versatile case. Era is straight ITX…..like its cousin the Terra before it….that’s the customer base. SFF demographics.
Fan of the case, not the false drama built on the mysterious launch date. I find it funny that they are so involved in hyping that they forget their target audience... you know people who would have actually paid for one of these.
I haven’t built a computer with an ssd in years, thanks to nvme drives. Why would they build a modern high end case with ssd drive cages? The small form factor could use the space for better cooling or a larger psu. Just my .02$
I still prefer an additional SSD with PLP (power loss protection) for firmware and BIOS flashing. Although, that is also bias from experience of USB driver update not letting my USB ports work when rebooting. (I don't recall getting a SATA driver update on my Z790 or B650i boards. The Z790 got a USB/Thunderbolt update that killed the USB ports on that board and was able to resolve using SATA. Might have also been an issue of halving the PCIE lanes by not paying attention to which slots affected PCIe capacity.)*
Heey Nick! I was wondering if you could also review the Thorzone NanoQ S and R version. Er is een very expensive case, but the quality and versatility seems to be very good. Plus it can hold the biggest GPUs (R version) that are currently available which is always good
Hi! Fractal tells us that 280 AIO should be max 307x140. The kraken z63 is 143 x 315. In the video you didnt seem to encounter any issues from having this AIO. What can you tell us about this? Did i really worked out alright? Thanks
Wondering how thermals compare with top & bottom being exhaust. I've been told sandwhich style cases perfom better with top & bottom exhaust to increase side-intake air being drawn-in.
@@protator machines and More did thermal testing of Era 2 with different fan orientations and top exhaust and bottom exhaust was the best for both CPU and GPU. Top Rad Intake and bottom fan exhaust was the best for CPU and slightly worse GPU temps Both top and bottom intakes was the worst Top exhaust and bottom intake was 2nd worst thermals (call it stock orientation)
The grills and pseudo diamond volume are attrocious and restrict flow but not dust. Looks like an early 2000s case. And then the irrellevant wood top. How could they mess the design so badly.

bless you and 4k video & bright lighting. You can really see all small details of this case and I appreciate it immensely.

Gear Seekers - Content done properly.
"you ever wanted the top of your case to look like a sewer grate? Fractal has the answer for you"
I'd be sold if it wasn't for the wood. Why is there no plastic or match paint metal option?
I scrolled down so I could see your review of this case first. That's loyalty.

What’s the “false” launch date ?

My favourite PC builder on RUclips, much love from the Great White North

Then you'd most likely recirculate all the exhaust from the lower fans.

:) would really be nice for someone that was building a pc that was only going to have integrated graphics for basic office work etc.
Been debating if to get the A3 based on your build... But now... Decisions decisions
The A3 has way better hardware support.
@@matthewrezuke8130 and a very attractive price comparatively too...
What are the case measurements?

Noice!
expensive and pci 4.0 cable when most new mboards have pci 5.0 yes you don't need pic 5 now but maybe in the future.
By the time you need to worry about PCI 5.0, you will be building a new computer.

i dont like how people use nvidia founder edition cards, i would have to say 90% of people dont have these.
Never been this early 👋🏽 love the vidz
Maybe it’s one of those things. Like me that look better in person. But all the media and videos… looks awful to me. 😢
first to like
Meh.. Ncase M2 it is.
