    Dude! You solved my mystery! I bought an 88 K1500 project truck and on it the receiving (female) connector for the cruise wire was not clipped to the metal subframe, it was just dangling. I didn’t know what is was for and I thought it was supposed to clip into something…and the cruise wire from the turn signal stalk was coming out of the top end of the steering column (I bought the truck like that, knowing absolutely nothing about how to fix it) and I had no frigging idea what, where, who, when, anything, until I saw your video and it all clicked. Thank you sir!

    Man i seen that big black wire behind the stalk on mine and i though a previous owner done a hack job of fixing something. I didnt realise that was factory. Mine works, but i want to replace the stalk as the paint has worn off mine too.

      If it’s tilt column and a 94 then it will come out. I’ve done hundreds of em. Turn it a little then pull, jerk on it turn it back straight then pull, it will come out. 👍

    • @dronechaserzl1
      @dronechaserzl1  2 года назад +2

      No, that won’t fix your problem. You have a turn signal switch problem. Most likely a small metal piece has come off your switch that used to do the cancelling.

    thx for the video! I got a 91 k2500 LD (light duty) 6 lug. i bought for my winter/spring truck. Unmolested. All the writing is worn off the Stalk. So i gotta find a new one. I'm new to these, i am coming from the Square bodies.> Diesels (6.2). What blew me away is that it came with a factory dealership/build sheet invoice. nice exhaust you got, is it stock? only other issues mine the climate control floor vents and the blend doesn't work. was that module problematic even when new?

    Having an issue on my 89 longbed. Wipers won’t quit after you turn them off. Usually will stop 30 seconds ti 90 seconds after and it is in random places. Thinking this would be the entire assembly inside the column and not just the lever. Thoughts? Good video by the way.

    • @dronechaserzl1
      @dronechaserzl1  Год назад +2

      This is usually caused by a faulty circuit board on the wiper motor itself.

      It's laying in the floor when he shows his parts and then it's up in the column as if it is used to install it somehow so that is why I'm asking, I also found the original part from GM on Amazon but man that thing is like 75.00 so I'm really glad to know that this one works well
