My grandmother's favorite cake I remember from my childhood. My sister learned how to make it from her and has made it every Christmas for the traditional family gathering.. Now my Chinese born wife wants to learn how to make it and your video is just what we needed ( aside from the recipe in "The Cuisine of Hungary" by George Lang).. I recognize the background music " Ha egy rozsa volnék" by Koncz Zsuzsa
Many thanks for your kind comment! I'm glad you liked this recipe - although this version is a little bit different from the traditional one, as I mix together the fillings' ingredients, not layering them separately. I'm happy that you liked the song too :D
Oh wow this is an interesting way of making it which I have to try. Usually I layer the jam then the walnut sugar, and no egg whites. Does this method have a different taste? I am eager to try it. 😊
Yes, you can use dried yeast too. I would use about 5-6 gr of instant or active dry yeast and I would dissolve and rise it the same way as the fresh. I hope it helps :)
One of the best Hungarian delicacy I love it can get enough

Stupid, she added the jam in the walnut mix. Watch the whole video before you leave negative comments. This recipe looks delicious 🤗
