- Going through the menu to setup and run 4k @ 120hz on your Xbox X/S to your 4k UHD TV or Monitor. In this case the television is the LG UN85/8500.
A little late to the party, but I just ordered this on Costco to use for my Xbox Series X!
Thanks but why would it matter on hdmi 4 when hdmi 3 and 4 are supposed to both be 2.1 ?I'm plugged into hdmi 3 and my pc plugged into hdmi 4

My tv is a lg uhd thinq ai and my series x, the tv isnt letting me enable 120hz anyone know how to fix it plz help 😭
Normally only one of the TV hdmi ports will output to 120hz, make sure you're using that port.
My sonyx900h Dolby vision can’t run 120 hz
vrr not active on xbox series x
Mine everything is checked except for doby vision at 120hrtz can't fig out why
I unchecked vrr as well because I thought that was prob but still says it does not support it even though it does support it
Have you tried plugging it in the other 120hz hdmi port?
@@Cyberskrimps no I have my pc plugged into the second one.on the back it says hdmi 3 and hdmi 4 is 2.1 so maybe I'll try to swap them
I did this with the same tv but sometimes the Xbox loses its signal. Does this happen to anyone else and does anyone know how to fix it?
Are you using the hdmi cable that came with the Xbox?

@@Cyberskrimps it mostly just happens when I switch to a new game or to the store
@@grant2660 has it just recently started happening? I haven't been on Xbox in awhile, maybe they did an update and it started doing that? I haven't had signal loss.

From the specs, it has hdmi2.1 with 4k @ 120hz.
@@Cyberskrimps yes, but now Xbox Series X has implemented am update that allows gamers to play games that support "Dolby Vision 4k at 120hz"
But when I check if my TV meets the requirements it says "no"
@@FattyMcButterPants6 do you have the hdmi plugged into one of the hdmi2.1 ports. If its like mine only 2 of the 4 hdmi ports are 2.1. Something else, you can maybe try unchecking(turning off) "vrr"
@@Cyberskrimps yes, I have both my PS5 & XBSX plugged into the two HDMI 2.1 ports.
Oddly enough, it doesn't give me the option to turn on or off VRR anymore or 24hz & 50hz
dolby vision is not actually supported by xbox or lg c1/g1. so on older models is the same. hdr10 is not dolby vision. so sorry…
Dolby Vison gaming does not support 120hz only 60hz w/ 4:2:2.
Xbox supports dolby vision I'm running it now lol you have to be a member of the preview channel....coming soon for everyone!!

Same mine is not allowing 4k uhd at 120hz but 1080p is working I have the same tv as him
