Hi I watch tons of sewing videos. Every night I lie in bed at the end of the day and watch RUclips videos on sewing. This little pin cushion sewing caddy is one of the best ones I’ve ever watched… Kudos to you mama, great video.🎉🧵✂️🧵✂️🧵✂️
Buenas tardes mi profe está muy lindo el cubo me encanta mucho que mi Dios me la bendiga esas manos maravillosas que el señor nos dió que pases una feliz tarde
Thank you so much for this video! I was looking for a pin cushion just like this and its perfect! I may make a few for gift ideas too! Many many thanks 😊👍
I just made one, and it was super easy! I love it! I might try one a bit larger, and use it to put my crochet hooks in it! Thank you for such a cute and awesome tutorial!
What a cute idea, especially with the little pockets. For some reason, I thought you were going to outside in the bottom to add a little weight to it. However, without rice, it becomes a 100% machine washable.
Hi Lisa, It reminds me of a mini hassock for a doll house. LOL It is cute & practical & I love it. I could see it like a deck of cards caddie with hearts, spades diamonds & clubs fabric on each side & a joker on top. Yes it would fit a deck of cards, poker chips, scorepad, etc. The possibilities are endless. Thanks & Merry Christmas.🃏♠️♥️♦️♣️🧮📒📏📐✂️🎄🌲🛷🎿⛸🎲🎲
I love this and the way you explianed and showed in detail how to make it. I love making small projects so I followed along and made a mini one, starting out with 3×3 squares and I added 2 strip clips to the top-opposite sides from the two pockets. It is not perfect but I am happy and think it is adorable. Thank You so much for all you do!
Very cute cube pincushion! Love your fabric. I have some orphan 4" blocks that I think are wanting to be used in this cube cushion. Thanks for some clever pincushion ideas.
Just made this pin cushion and I love it. It was very easy to make. I wish I would have made it with 4 pockets. I made mine with two pockets, but it’s still awesome. I plan to make another one with four pockets. Thank you so much for sharing this project.
love this series! pincushions, i can't wait that the heatwave will b over to start doing all of those pincushions!!! in your inspiration i am looking for a dollhouse armchair for a pincushion. bless :)
The time I laid my eyes 👀 on recommendation to watch I said in my mind Adorable . I knew I wanted to make one ☝️ . How clever you are . Thanks 😊 for sharing . Blessings .
Thank you for sharing the information. If time permits in the near future I will try to make one for self. At the present i'm busy with changing embroidery files from one format to my machine files, also have a few other projects. I have enjoyed the videos you are doing to help people with instructions, ideas also the live videos. You are a very gifted, and blessed lady. Have a wonderful day.
I used a firm iron interfacing on the bottom square for a bit of firmness, gave it to youngest to give to her gtams as a birthday gift, forgot to get a photo, came out cute now need to make me one
I love this pincushion but part of the construction was confusing (i.e. the seaming at the top and bottom. I watched two other videos that helped to make the process much easier. Stuart Hillard's Japanese Rice Bag and Debbie Shores Storage Cube w/handles. Also the Ladder stitch is easy to learn and invisible when it comes to closing the open seam to finish.
Another great idea, Lisa, have a beautiful hand-pieced square that my friend made. I was trying to figure out how to save it somehow, this would be perfect!
I just made something like this. I used iron on felt interfacing on all the panels, then I added play sand to the bottom for stability, and inserted a florist foam cube, stuffed it with left over batting scraps and some sewing scraps, then filled the rest with walnut shells and then I made a quadrent satchel full of emery sand and pinned it to the top of the florist cube, so the pins and needles would sharpen as I use it. Filled it the rest of the way then hand sewed the rest of it shut.
Love the fabric choice, but your machine sounds amazing. I know what I'm doing next, making some pin cushions. I wonder how it can be done if it had an opening/slit in the center. Just to put taller items whilst using. Do you know what I mean? Adorable box, I bought the crushed walnut shells from pet shop. I'm wanting a small ham and sleeve ironing pads. ❤
I like this project but I think it might be easier to sew the “side” panels to the “bottom” first. So in other words it would look like a cross when flat. Then sew the “top” to each of the tops of the “side” panels. The you are just left with easy straight seams between each side panel, leaving one side partially open for stuffing. I hope that makes sense and didn’t confuse anyone
Take a look at Stuart Hillard's Japanese Rice Bag and Debbie Shores Storage Cube with Handles. I have used (combined) both these videos to help me come up with a way to more easily create this pincushion!
I think you could leave your opening on any side, or top or bottom...it doesn't to much matter. I do mine at the bottom so my stitches don't show as well :)
I need to know more about Elster. Do you need to have a friend to swap with? Are we supposed to send a gift for $5 also? Can someone please tell me how this works? I want to do the pin cushion swap but have never heard of Elster. Thanks everybody.
Elfster will swap names for you with someone who is also in the swap. No gifts or money sent with the pin cushions.....I just put $5.00 on there because of any postage fees sending the pin cushion.
I found them. They are Ote-dama bags (Japanese). There is a long video search on youtube; Full Tutorial: How to Make an Otedama. Also a simple one with no sound that looks interesting search on youtube; otedama simple make.
Excellent tutorial! Pleasant voice and thorough instructions

Thank you for all your neat pin cushions Your instructions are so easy to follow.
Thank you for the video. I made it with scraps and it was easy and very practical in the sewing room.
What a cute idea, especially with the little pockets. For some reason, I thought you were going to outside in the bottom to add a little weight to it. However, without rice, it becomes a 100% machine washable.
So easy and so cute! I like that you could easily use up scraps for all the parts - the cube, pockets or filling
That's so sweet. I can use up scraps etc for the outer and bits of stuff for the stuffing. Thankyou Lisa
I think this would be cute in child’s prints and made to be a toy for babies. You could make a lot of different sizes for them to stack up.
Sew cute!
Very cute another great pin cushion. I need to make some. Thank you so much for all you do for us Lisa you are a wonderful kind person.

Great. You perhaps could put a fabric 'strap' sew that you could put on chair arm or similar?

No it makes perfect sense that’s the way Andrea at Sewspire does it very easy 🧵
That makes perfect sense

Estela Chandler That’s a fabulous idea, I love Stuart Hillard’s videos 🌺🦋💜
too good😙😙😙
Awesome tutorial, question though? Why do you have the little blue pieces in there as your sewing the squares (must have hint or personal preference)
Leader and ender😊
very nice
Hi, what are the white cloth that stick to the pocket?
I used to sew bean bag cubes for my children using two rectangles. about 2 by 4 inches. There are no patterns for something like that that I can find?
hmmmm.....I'm not sure :( I would try searching on Pintrest.....there is SO MUCH you can find there :)
If you use walnut shells would you sew up the bottom first and add shells from the top?
I think you could leave your opening on any side, or top or bottom...it doesn't to much matter. I do mine at the bottom so my stitches don't show as well :)
Very nice, what type of glue are you using. I just found your channel today and so I'm not familiar with how you do things but I like this idea..
why do you put fabric before each time you sew?
This project is SO cute!!! But I don't recommend basting with glue. It will gunk up your machine.
I glue baste MOST of my quilts and that has never happened. The glue is dry when you bring your work to the machine.
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead Oh nice! I was skeptical, but I may have to give it a try and see what happens!
