I realy miss Monarch - one of my best memories as a child was when I got to see the pilots after landing at Stansted from Tenerife South and they gave a Rolo whilst showing me the controls. Imagine how mental that must've been for my 8 year old mind. Such a shame they aren't here to put smiles on our faces anymore :(
They did the same with me when we landed at Gatwick from tenerife, they showed me the controls and that, I was like 10 or 11, so sad they went bust, such a genuine company.
PioN Taylorrr I was a sad day when monarch went bust, I managed to get to Tenerife by monarch,but they went bust while I was there. I loved the flight, and strangely, looking forward to the flight home.ended up flying home with the company I detest the most,Ryanair.i thought I'd found the perfect short haul carrier in monarch, now I'll have to start again. RIP monarch
