- In this video I show how to multiply / divide numbers with the same sign and with opposite signs. I also look at the multiplicative inverse property and the additive inverse property. Lastly I quickly review the order of operations and work a bunch of examples.
I love it, learning the fundamental is great .
5:44 It's pretty simple. Multiplying by -1 turns your next number around by 180°.
(-1)(-1)=1... or... -(←1)=1→
(-1)(1)= -1...or... -(1→)=←1.
You can extend this idea using i=√(-1), where multiplying a number by i turns it 90° clockwise.
i(-1)= -1i... or... i(←1)=1↓
i(1)= 1i...or... i(1→)=1↑.
7:45 Zero is really a lack of numbers & if you multiply anything by it, you erase it from existence. (0)(±1)=0...etc.
A number of things is that amount of things that exists as you point at them.
Zero things is nothing, no number of things
Zero is no number.
12:41 You are trying to divide by no number, that is, you try to share out some number of things between no recipients, but of course you can't do it b/c there is nobody there‼️
Why is no one watching this this os awesome for beginner love and appreciate you man keep on going
