    If you're asking what I think you're asking, the answer is yes. The addressable FZM has 1 address only. Every conventional device that's connected to it would show up at the panel as the same address. So if you have smokes, pulls, and heats all tied to that circuit, you'd have to label that modules something like "3rd floor detection", just as you would a zone on a conventional panel.

      How many wires install from smoke detector to module

    Great explanation! Does this kind of module supervise the 24 volt resettable power? Or is a power supervision relay needed? If the module loses the resettable power, would it send a trouble signal to the SLC? Thanks!

      Depends on the panel. Notifier panels supervise the power if the module is programmed correctly. Gamewell FCI modules do not. Other manufacturers I'm not sure off-hand

    I'm confused we install intelligent panels for schools and all we need is slc to each device no power we only use mini mods for co detectors I only have a year as an apprentice so I don't know a bunch... is it the panels or type of heats/smokes we are using perhaps

    What is the simplex model number of module that would work with 4008?

      I believe it's called a ZAM module.

    the manufacture of these modules sets the battery feeding terminalsT4 and T5, here battery is feeding T11 and T 10, I am confused

      Mava, no battery should be connected to these. Make sure you're comparing the same type of module. I think some terminals chanced when the modules switch from the V type to the H type, but always following the install sheet.

    How do you test to tell if a SK Monitor module went bad

    • @JoeKlochan
      @JoeKlochan  4 года назад

      Depends on the problem you think it's causing. If the panel is not communicating with the module, you can connect it directly to the panel. If it's showing an activation, you can temporarily resistor it out. There are even more basic steps, but a lot of the troubleshooting is basic common sense.

    what is slc

    • @futurealarms121
      @futurealarms121 7 лет назад +2

      It stands for Signaling Line Circuit. It's the addressable equivalent of a zone on a conventional panel. Except that it's far more powerful because it can connect to multiple devices, each of which can have its own individual device name and programming. Other companies, such as EST, call them loops. Simplex, Notifier, Fire-Lite, and the rest call them SLCs though. Exact same thing though.
