I agree about people wanting XMEN on this cab, and it's understandable. The biggest problem with this is..... XMEN is a KONAMI game. It would have been probably done if it were done by CAPCOM.
Wrong cab... should be HS5. Artwork is nice, kinda don't like the illusion that the cab has a riser, though. The marquee should have been done differently, but im sure Disney hand in this '97 (year label trend) is kind of annoying tbh.

It still has bad sticks, buttons, and beyond that the same PCB which isn't strong enough to play this. Overheating issues, frame dropping etc.

Honestly I think people are taking this release too seriously. Putting the X-Men on a Marvel cab isn't the stretch they're trying to make it out to be, considering a lot of the games' rosters will be X-Men characters. I could kind of understand if they branded it as a Fantastic Four cab or something.
I understand that some people collect these cabs for the arcade aesthetic, but there's a whole different version for them to get their hands on if they don't like it.
For what it is, it's an affordable way for people who care about the actual games on the cabinet to obtain a copy. Who knows? They could push a new update for MvC2, since there's added incentive with a new cab on the way.
At this point I think this is the best we can expect from Arcade1Up. The last few "new" titles didn't seem to do so well, so I think we're going to see mostly re-releases to try to get a little extra out of those expensive licensing fees they pay for. Maybe someday we'll see a "new" title, but I don't foresee too many in the next couple of years, especially without John D. I think we're going to see them mostly work with what they have.

yeah only positive is being able to get the cabinet at a cheaper price, also watched first 3-4 seasons of power rangers, lord zedd was a beast compared to rita. Thanks for sharing those memories. When xmen had a multi part series and you had to wait a whole week to see the next part, lol

I think the games list for Xmen 97 are correct. People who keep saying the konami one should be in forget that the konami cab isn't based on 97. It's based on the FAILED pilot that came out several years before. Like it or not the Capcom games, including the crossovers all had xmen characters FROM the cartoon, same colors, same art, and for most of them the SAME voice actors. Anybody heard of Cable? He's from the cartoons as well... guess what's the only game you can use him in.... MVC2.

Who’s it for? Disney and Cyrus. Because apparently collabs are all they can do, now? Wrong cab shape, wrong size, wrong games. Should have been an HS5 XL with X-men games. It would have printed money.
