I involuntarily tested the rain proof claim recently. It was light to medium rain and I used the case as a makeshift umbrella for about 20 min. No water got inside at all. The outside dried very easily.
I recently got the Thomann SafeCase for my 6 string bass and I think it's insanely good compared to other gigbags. Extremely well padded, a lot of storage with the big detachable storage space, and oh man those shoulder straps! Never seen a gigbag with such good shoulder straps, they offload the weight really well, which is really important with a big and heavy bass
Also works fine if you're a biker or a walker ...Or a neurotic anxious individual like me, who lives with the constant fear a hard case suddenly opens and destroys your instrument
Nice Video! Altough I would advice you not to put background music with vocals on them while you are talking. I think it can be a bit distracting. Good review otherwise! I might get one of those for myself one day :)
Man I just ordered a pb20 sbk and jb40fl from thomann 2 days ago I wish I would have known about these cases then I would have ordered a couple. Oh well Ile wait till next time I do a order and pick a few up so I don't get reemed on shipping. Thanks for the review 🤘
I have HB ebass case love it $35 in 2020, same in 2024 shipping reasonable only shipping is astronomical now But the quality is as good as a 100-150$ other bag!!
Hi Momi! 1. Not sure! Probably not, as it’s body is a bit thicker than a “normal” solid body bass! 2. I would not check this in on an airplane without adding some additional protection, so to speak :) On a train - absolutely. On a plane - nah…
Cool review, Erik👍🏾! I was thinking about buying exactly this Light Case, but I decided to get myself the "Thomann E-Bass Elite Gig Bag once more😎! Unfortunatly (for me) the "LightCase" is missing a necklock and reasonable space for Tuner, Tablet,Papers Cable, ect. If Thomann would add these features (should be standard nowadays)and increase the price for about 10€ this LightCase would be perfect for me😎,because it might be easier to pack/store in cars/vans than a Gigbag. In the meantime I'll get my hands again on the "Elite Gigbag " mentioned above, which is also great value for the money; my first one broke up a few days ago after six years protecting my basses to sessions and on holidays in France & Italy. I like practicing bass using headphone amps during holidays 😎, so Neckl Lock & Space for several Tools ist a must have for me while I'm away. Looking forward watching your next video, Erik! Greetz from Germany!

Would it be ok to stack several or these? (3 or 4). Thanks.
Yes!!

@@erikarko And considering the already well padded $22 gigbag, is the price difference worth it?
Hmm really depends on how you intend on travelling imho!

Sveiki, harley benton bz-7000nt tilps y šita dekla?
English?
Any chance of getting the exterior dimensions on this if you still have it? Mostly curious about the height, thanks!
Sadly I don’t have it any more :/ Sold a bass and shipped it with this case!
Hello Erik. Will Harley Benton Beatbass fits in this Light case? Also, is it safe enough if put in luggage while traveling by air? Thank you

@@erikarko Thank you so much, Erik. Your response is appreciated. Stay blessed.
Will this case be ok to put another guitar in gig bag on top of that case?
Yes!! :)
Where do you order
Thomann.de! :)
Any idea if this can withstand a plane travel?
I’d say no! :/

Thanks for watching and for your points! Might check out the Elite Gig Bag in the future, then!! :)
Hello , pour info l'étuis pèse 2,4 kg .
Something like that
Unfortunately, left handed bass won't fit....
That sucks! Didn’t know that :(
How about putting it on an airplane? :D
If you get to take it into the cabin - absolutely! Leaving it to the personnel? Nope! 😅
