Thanks! In fact, some airlines gave me a bunch of shit about taking the Mono vertigo bags so on this trip cross country (I’m currently on a plane flying from Orlando back to LA) I used the Mono slip case, can’t remember the exact name but it’s their thinnest one and just did the overhead and no one said shit to me it’s been great. I’ve gotten hassled and had to gate check a Mono that has the extra padding and the boot on it before and that SUCKED
Thanks for the vid, was literally just looking into gig bags. Note to USA peeps that Thomann wanted to charge me $80 for shipping on their website, which would put it a lot closer to Mono in price.
Def good to know! The Mono M80 the thomann is based on is $249 + $99 for the Tick so you’re looking at like 180 plus tax vs 350 so still a good deal, but good call and def worth noting!!! Thanks for the info!
Man that Thomann Safecase is legendary but it only fits baby size guitars under 40 inches
i dont want to cause any PTSD but do you know any cases to use when traveling by plane?
Hahahah I can tell you what NOT to use
Definitely not getting knighted if you don’t have a good case rolling through Excalibur. Actually might just get kicked in the privates.
very informative, as a guitar center employee, i can vouch for Mono cases and bags, and padded straps are key for long distante travel
