I have both for bass. I got the Roadrunner first with a used bass I bought and was very impressed with it. Sold the bass with a Fender HSC and kept the gig bag lol. Bought the Mono second. So to me the RR feels very sturdy and well padded, not in any way cheap. The mono is just on another level. I think if you’re flying and gigging heavily invest in a Mono. If you’re looking for excellent value for a fee shows here and there and less intense, the RR is perfect.
Totally agree with this assessment. I’ve flown the RR a few times, but Mono is another level. I ended up giving the RR to a student simply because I have mono cases for everything now!

I actually had their RBX dual-electric case before I got my Mono. That was their more affordable line, so it wasn’t as robust as either of these, but I hear good things about their “professional” line!
The weight on the instrument holds it in place really, and once it’s zipped up it’s pretty snug! The Mono cases are a bit more snug I find, but both have given me zero issues.
I think both cases are great. The video isn’t that old, so I don’t think there has been any new product to hit the market that would change my opinion.
I work at guitar center and this is easily my favorite case to show people. The quality/price ratio is so good on it.

I use a Gruv Gear Kapsule for my bass. Still looking for a case my electric guitar. I was looking at Mono but will check these out.
It’s a really good option for the money. That said, if you have the money, Mono is still better.

I think it would work, but Mono makes a case specifically for semihollow guitars that definitely would!

Looks like they have them at Guitar Center! That’s where I got mine, but I’m all Mono cases now 👍🏻

Does your guitar slide up and down in the case? Nothing seems to hold it still inside the bag.

I’m sure it will. Plenty of room for all my guitars! The only things that’s probably won’t fit are V/Explorer/big jazz box guitars
