Lil Eazy-E Tears Up as He Recalls Final Moments with Father Before His Death

- Eric Lynn Wright, Jr. - also known as Lil Eazy-E - had a lot to share with DJ Vlad as he detailed his life up until his father's untimely passing. The two shared an extremely close bond and Eazy-E's junior didn't hesitate when asked about their trips to Disneyland and the times he'd get approached in school due to his father's legacy. "Those things didn't dawn on to me 'til we were out in public and I [saw] people's reactions," he remembered.
Things took a grave turn in Lil Eazy-E's life after his grandmother informed him of his father being "sick like Magic Johnson." Him and the rest of Eazy's loved ones sat in the hospital for days as they watched him lose his ability to speak once fluid filled his lungs. "Then when he came out he went without talking to having tubes in his mouth and I went to see him and [it was] really more so just him kind of crying and me crying," he recalled while fighting back tears. "Couple of days later they tell me he died."

Damn I feel for Lil Eazy. That shit hurts him to the core to talk about. I lost my dad too, unexpectedly, and I can say that if you love your father and you’re really close, it’s as monumental of a loss as you will ever experience.
You can tell that this gentleman felt loved and important to his family as a child, despite being raised by his grand parents. I love that his father put him in Montessori school, which helped keep him safe, and he enrolled him in karate, so he would learn discipline and how to fight if he ever needed to defend himself, as boys often do.
Brought tears to my eyes to hear him talking about his memories of the day his father passed away...the tubes in his mouth, the doctors running in and out, his aunt running across the room crying, and the sound of the defibrillator machine trying to shock his father's heart back to life. That is a trauma that no almost-11-year-old child should see, much less be able to recount all these years later because that is trauma stored in a brain that is still developing.
My heart goes out to the children who grew up never knowing their father. That leaves a scar that never truly heals, sadly.
I feel 4 him. I know what he's going through. my mom died from AIDS in '94. I was just 7 and I miss her everyday.

I'll never forget when my father passed away 😢 12/11/1997. I was leaving for work and he grabbed me and hugged me. He told me to always take care of your mother. We never said goodbye to each other, only see you later. This day he said goodbye and I love you always. That was the last conversation we had.
