My favourite thing about this is that Landslide is a song about ageing and growing up a little more every day and being scared of what will change, what's coming. Harry is a young performer just being thrust into individual stardom for the first time (as opposed to being one quarter of One Direction) and I have no doubt he's going to become the John Lennon of the group; whereas Stevie is a performer from the previous generation who has already experienced all this and learned how to deal with it and still be her own person despite public and management pressure (and we all know Harry gets a ton of both). Seeing them perform this song together feels like the mentor teaching the protégé a special lesson, especially with the fact that Harry looks up to her so much both personally and professionally. It feels like history being made.

when I was younger (22 now) I saw this movie called "Jack Frost" with Michael Keaton, it was such a great movie. it was about this musician who rarely saw his son because he traveled loads well one day the dad never came back. In a part of this movie "Landslide" plays, at the time I didn't know who sang it or what the song meant but it made me cry. I saw that movie repeatedly throughout my childhood even if it wasn't around Christmas time because that movie and the message and Micheal Keaton and that song was just amazing to me ever since the first time I watched it. whenever I listen to this song now all these years later it just takes me back to when I was younger and it just makes me tear up. now all these years later I know who sings that song and I know what the song means and that movie is one of the best movies I've ever seen. to see harry who's my age with Stevie on stage getting emotional and everything it just makes me cry even harder. this person who I've been a fan of for about 6+ years shares the same admiration for her as I do. and its kind of like we're the same in a way. everytime I watch this video of harry and Stevie singing this song that will forever mean the world to me it just makes my heart grow. who would have known that 6, 7 year old me would have carried along a movie and one of the most meaningful songs with her all through the years to see it preformed on stage with 2 of her favorite musicians one of which shares the same idol?
