- The perfect WET Ghanaian Doughnut (Boflot) recipe / Ndudu by Fafa
A step to step guide on how to make the best Ghanaian doughnut. Recipe is available on my blog www.ndudu-by-fafa.blogspot.com.
You can follow me on Instagram or Facebook under 'Ndudu by Fafa'. 'Ndudu' means food in my tribal dialect of 'ewe' from the Volta Region of Ghana. Recipes are created and made by your's truly Fafa.
I'm married to a Ghanian and have no knowledge of making anything from his homeland. I tried this, it came out lovely. He was delighted and told me it taste just like his favorite snack from Ghana and when I told him it was, he was surprised I knew how to make it. Thank you once again, for allowing me to give him a taste of home.
Ndudu by fafa as usual.. There's always something unique in ur methods.. I admire u alot

Watching this recipe made me subscribe to your channel. I am from the Caribbean so I have African heritage and I have had these but they call them "muffin" not like the muffins baked in the oven though. Another similar one which is flat is called "bakes" but all delicious. I love your recipes. Blessings ♥

It looks like it has absorbed 1liter of oil. Too oily for my liking. I wish there was another way to do this with less oil.
Instagram brought me here!!!
Welcome
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Nice video .Can you used food processor instead of the whisk ?
in south africa we call it ämagwnya" yummm!!
Thank you gorgeous for watching and the knowledge 😘😘

+Utado Ladii You can bake them , however it's a different recipe used altogether
Fafa, if you know how to make masa, can you pls show us. Thx
ndudu I haven't got a whisker. In this case can I use my hands in place of the whisker??
Yes you can use your cleaned washed hands
Correct!
Thank you ❤️
ndudu pls I don't have a whisker, by using this method can i use my hands in place of the whisker ??
You can use a wooden ladle to mix everything together 👍🏾
Fafa, can you bake this instead of frying or need to fry it to get all the Ghanaian feel in it?
+LINDA SAMPSON

Sugar Boo

Good afternoon how are u today? ur doughnut looks good.I have lost of Gahanna friends. Also Nigeria call their doughnut puff-puff.iam American married to Nigeria.
.
Thank you. Hope you're well?
Ndudu by Fafa I think you should correct him. this is not doughnut.
is there any egg substitute? cause i kinda dont want eggs in my boflot
You can omit the egg.
so is it compulsory to put the yeast in the puff puff because I haven't got any
You do need the yeast for the dough to rise
+Ndudu by Fafa can you use baking soda instaed of baking power?
Adu Rita
Ma'am, please is this the bofrot or the donut recipe? You know how we have 2 different ones
yeah I was thinking the same. Cause they bofrot I know doesn't contain eggs or baking powder. But after all...everyone has their style of doing things. I will definitely try it out today hehe.
Princess A. this is bofloat/togbe, donuts doesn't require yeast.
You can make your bofrot without the egg. The eggs do help give the doughnut a light and creamy texture.
Same thing I said. This looks more like making ghana donut. I am also from Ghana and this recipe is a bit different but it looks really good and I willing to try something new. 😀
Please how long should I let the dough sit

we call that magwinya in Botswana
What happens if one doesn’t add yeast please

Hi there, can fresh yeast be used?
Sorry, this is not boflot recipe .
Grace Kwofie Do you care to share the bofrot recipe?
This is Nigerian 'Puff Puff'. Please give credit where it is due.........
Tsoo! (In my 'Ewe language' from Ghana) . Doughnuts are not exclusive to Nigeria ooh.
ShiningStar77 here too, aaaaba!
Ghanaians have their own and Nigerians have their own, just like joloff or fufu. No one is stealing Nigerian recipe here.
In Ghana its called bofrot or boflot..in Nigeria u refer to it as puff puff..just like we have khebab n u have suya

How ignorant can one be. You must be 11. 21st century, you can’t use internet to learn sense. If you don’t know something, look it up before disgracing yourself publicly
I have to try this amazing receipe.
