Are Video Games Good Or Bad? (From A Game Designer's Perspective)

Video games have a notoriously bad rap.
They're blamed for our society's propensity for violence, the rotting of children's brains and our inability to focus.
But as Dr. Celia Hodent explains, video games, like anything else, are neither all good or all bad. In this episode, she also dives deep into the positives of video games, and how game designers are fighting to re-write the narrative around the technology as a whole.
Dr. Celia Hodent holds a PhD in psychology and has over ten years experience in the development of user experience (UX) strategy in the entertainment industry, and more specifically with video game studios through her work at Ubisoft, LucasArts, and as Director of UX at Epic Games (Fortnite). She currently leads an independent UX consultancy, working with a wide range of international media and enterprise companies.
