The fact that her monument is now encased with glass suggests to me that her surviving family must still care about it and are funding it's maintenance.
That’s a fascinating one..especially just think Emma living till 1973 telling the story if people asked about her sister passing away. And when asked when her sister passing away saying oh she died in 1898. Being able to say that in the 1970’s..lol that’s just really crazy when you really think about it.
Highrange MIKE , im saying, what happened to Lamont ? Hes a great u tube person I follow . Thats him, speaking normally , when he posts, its UNDER .......LAMONT AT LARGE .... ITS A GREAT CHANNEL . CHECK IT OUT, MY FRIENDS
Lamont,I am only 30 miles away from Jamestown. If I knew you were here I wish I could have given you a tour of western New York. You are one of my favorite people on RUclips. Thank you for doing a video on the girl in the glass, she is a beautiful memorial. Most of us after we pass will never be remembered. Thanks to people like you, bring a story and a face back to life..
My 3 friends and I (4 middle-age women) took a trip to Jamestown, N.Y. specifically to visit the Lucy and Desi Museum. I remember when we were crossing the Canada-US border the officer asked us what the purpose of the visit. When we said to visit the Lucy and Desi Museum, he just rolled his eyes and waved us through. I don’t remember which summer but it was before 911. We also drove by the house Lucy grew up in. The next year, we heard that the museum had closed, so we visited just in time. I still have the entry ticket to the museum. Please ask your sister whether the museum is indeed closed.
I was thinking the same while watching this like I'm surprised no teenage vandals shattered that glass ! Unless they have and it's been replaced but who knows.
Oh man! I wish I had known you were in my area! I've visited it multiple times growing up and we had someone from the historical society come speak at our school about it. One of the local legend says she died on her wedding day from a bee sting (which is why she is in a dress) Most people don't know that it's not the truth. I'm so glad your explanation is the correct recount of her death!
You were only an hour away from me 🙂 Lucy ❤ yes I have heard many versions about this 😉 been there myself. Such a beautiful cemetery. Thank you for finally clarifying the story behind her ❤
I wish I wasn't so terrified of dying. The Human lifespan is just too darn short !! We should get at least 200 years minimum to do our thing before croaking. Don't even get me started on a Dogs lifespan. Those poor poochies.
I’ve been thinking about that too I’m 63 and I was thinking about if I die I would never know about my daughter’s life or be here to watch my grandkids do something awesome with their live’s mostly because they are 14 & 11 so I probably will never know Great Grandchildren I don’t want to miss anything about them. And then I was wondering about what it’s like when you have passed away is it like sleeping how do you go from being aware to not being anything just dead ⁉️ I probably haven’t really explained what I mean in the right way because I really don’t know how to actually word what I’m trying to say all I know is I don’t want to not exist anymore.
Only the physical body ceases to be. The human _soul_ does not die, it simply changes form. It is made-up of energy, which cannot be created nor destroyed. It's called the Law of the Conservation of Energy. If you look into it, it may help to reassure you that there isn't just "eternal blackness" after physical death. Now....where your soul goes after that is another story altogether; however, John 14:6 provides a surefire way to know _where_ you will spend Eternity.
Noah and God's other people on Earth lived to be nearly eight hundred years old..before things went bad and started sinning with Adam and Eve, I won't go into deep about the Bible most people don't want to hear it, But God didn't create people for them to die but instead meant them to live forever, And he also is not a cruel God, Jesus said he's the resurrection and life and the meek shall inherit the earth, there will be a Resurrection of the dead in God's kingdom once it's restored after God's judgment.
Beautiful monument, ttragic story, it's a shame with Emma living so long. that more isn't known about Grace's life. You're new channel is really interesting. I hope you get many subscribers and patrons.
Beautiful statue. I'm glad they enclosed it. The pollution causes so much deterioration quickly over time. Interesting story. Thank you Lamont for traveling there to tell this story.
Thank you for visiting my city !! Been to that cemetery many times. Down by the north main side is Charles Cooper, who was killed in Iraq. Soldiers Circle,
Very interesting 🧐👍I’m sure you’ve been to Mount Hope Cemetery in Rochester NY, Susan B Anthony and Frederick Douglas laid to rest there ... gorgeous unique cemetery with monolithic hills in circular fashion boasting Bausch & Lomb’s mausoleum as well .. Auburn NY’s cemetery with Harriet Tubman’s grave site .. also neat to feature if not already ... ty for the history on the lady in glass ....
I for one sure hope that nobody ever desecrates that monument by breaking the glass that encases that beautiful statue of Grace. But as in life there is always the one who thinks that it would be a good to do so. There is something special about this grave that I cannot quite put my finger on. Perhaps it is the obvious love they had for their daughter that still shines through even after so long. But whatever it is I hope that they will all rest in peace.
I kind of figured hollywood had gotten the story of a ghost of a young woman dressed in white looking really sad, walking through the graveyard or near a graveyard; was from a real life person when I saw it depicted in more than one movie . Now, I finally know it was about Grace!! Wow. Fascinating.
I think it is actually a fairly common legend, with a woman in white or black, either of which could indicate mourning attire depending on the culture. It also appears in Dracula.
That’s one of the most beautiful graves I’ve ever seen. I like also how the other family members were placed. It really does look classy & very well thought out. So many graves just look like they’ve just been plonked into a random space. Thanks for sharing.
Forest Hills Cemetery. Chattanooga TN. At the base of Lookout Mtn. Beautiful scenery and historic. Alot of 1918 Spanish flu victims are buried here. Local celebrities and politicians as well.
Lamont your the best, you don’t ramble on you don’t talk a lot,you get to the point and don’t give useless gabKeep it up, your doing great!thank god for young people!good luck!
Thank you Lamont, what a beautiful lady Grace was, and still is , what a lovely way to remember her, I love the way she over towers the whole Cemetery, it’s sad that she died so young, you can never forget someone who is high above the ground. Xxxx
Would love for you to visit the grave Of Erin Goddard from Westford, Massachusetts. A very unusual & fascinating grave. It's like she is sitting in the Cemetery. Love your channels & watch all the time. Be safe & God Bless!
Thanks for sharing Lamont it's very interesting to hear these lives of people along time in early 1900s and before that time too 1800s be careful and stay safe Lamont. Peace ✌️ out. Like you say.....Take care
The Yew Hedge is awesome, and those Trees must of been planted when they set this up! I Love how it has grown around it! It is Stunning! I do not think of a Person, I think of an Ideal.
I would have loved to meet Ms. Grace. I am fascinated with opera after first seeing it in grade school on a field trip. I was captivated. As well as with the symphony. Grade schools no longer go on field trips like that, it is disheartening. I also remember walking through the woods during science class and finding and recognizing different insects and plants. Wonderful memories!! I was surprised that Ms. Grace was not Madrid by age 27. That is an older age to be single in that era. I wonder if it were by choice or because of her career.
This is so wonderful and beautiful thank you so much for sowing this you do a wonderful job for showing this beautiful grave just wanted to say thank you for all you do.
Hi Lamont I am one of your fans and I was born in Jamestown New York and I know of the story of Lady in glass I’m happy that you visited the Lakeview cemetery in Jamestown New York from your fan Joey I currently live in New Castle Pennsylvania now but Jamestown New York will always be my hometown Lamont And thank you for visiting my hometown Lamont thank you
Like the videos. I love seeing bringing respect and honor and peace to the fallen. I love seeing nice cemeteries. I enjoy videos that bring to light vandalism which i hate. I used to mow many to make people happy. Keep the peace going lamont.

I believe that is Fred’s wife. Fred was her brother. Grace had no other sisters. Likely the stories Emma told she got from Fred.

Grace may be the first “27” club member. So talented and died too young. Would of loved to hear her sing. Thankyou for sharing her story.
My sister lives in Jamestown and brought me here. Also, there is a Lucille Ball museum. Fascinating.

You should see it up close, absolutely gorgeous!!
Thank you Lamont. This is not only beautiful but very different. It surprises me thou that the Aholes haven't broken the glass over the years!
I was thinking the same while watching this like I'm surprised no teenage vandals shattered that glass ! Unless they have and it's been replaced but who knows.
I agree...It’s sad to have to think like this but there ARE Aholes out there, unfortunately😕
But Lamont said there's a ghost story about a lady in white that roams there at night so maybe they're afraid to mess with her!
@@nickie7874 she protects the graveyard. 😆
Perhaps it is plexiglass? Just a thought.
Beautiful monument. There are still cemeteries owned by families instead of companies. This cemetery believes in perpetual care.
That’s real love for a person
