Thanks for those videos, it's really hard to know what fangames are being released and when, I'll try this one out Edit: The main game is exactly what you think it is, this game is a LoLK 2.0
Honestly this extra stage cemented every issue I had with IBP, the cheap attacks meant to wall you in, the constant aimed bullets that barely give you any time to react, the mediocre soundtrack, and the lack of proper difficulty scaling (everything in stage 4 was harder than this extra stage). After how good RBSS BOSM and HSOB were this entire game feels like a major step down in every department
I wouldn't call the ost mediocre considering hollow mansion has been stuck in my head ever since the full game released, but it is week in some regards, like the extra boss. Also.... yea compared to HSoB, this game felt pretty weaker and unfair at some points. I share your criticisms, alongside a few nitpicks of mine. Like youmu's horrible shottypes and the extra boss design.
Man this extra was brutal. Well except the last spell. Somehow it felt easier than the rest of the fight. ..however i can't say i like the extra boss per se. I dunno, seeing another little dragon girl doesn't feels pretty interesting to me. ^^' Congrats on the almost NMNB tho!
I... is it just me, or is this Extra seem easier than usual? I can immediately guess as to where to go at any instance, which is not the norm with their more recent Extra stages. I need to try this. Edit: I got to Megumu's 3rd spellcard. Not bad for someone who rarely if ever can clear Normal mode in any other game. I dunno whether it means I'm improving or the stage is a little easier than most
I really liked this exboss fight. I actually didn’t like the pot boss from the last game at all, I generally prefer the extra stage bosses that don’t have gimmicky fights.
I don't really like this boss fight to be honest. The music of stage is awesome, it's great. But the boss fight music isn't that catchy enough, like author was trying but couldn't reach the perfect mood of the music. Same for the patterns - what the what is the last spell actually?
Agreed, it's not bad, but it somehow feels rushed compared to BoSM's Extra and IBP's main game. Still, I can see people enjoying it because it has much lower difficulty compared to the main game.
Definitely patterns aren't so diverse as in games (and modes) mentioned above. And are too predictable. As said, that happens too, not gonna blame them (as long as they release another epic fangame. Then, I will forgive for that stage~)
About the theme, I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It's suspenseful, never having an absolute resolution until the very end section with the ZUNpets, and the instruments are sparse yet meaningful. And boy, I love the taiko-flute combination. Though I do believe the focus on taiko and sparse instruments is not for everyone. It's one reason ZUN had doubts about Raiko's theme, since putting any other instruments on top and the taiko fades to the background
Holy hell your awesome now i can study your video and play for my self badass as always creepy
And then, Zun released an oficial Megumu and a dragon-eating centipede...

The amount of cheapshots in this stage though

Yeah the last spellcard doesn't really that hard as it was actually designed having fun after everyone having seizure of final boss last spellcard
Damn, this Marisa shot type makes me feel so bad for her appearance in th18 (I think playing Marisa in 18 is pure suffering at this point)

@@CreepyNinja fair enough actually, I still love this game for unusual shot types and extra stage theme
Maybe this game was some kind of experiment
