I had four wheels and tires install on my truck. Took him about a hour and half or so. It didn't seem like it because I was relaxing inside my home. 🙂This is so convenient. Highly recommended..

One of my neighbors purchased tires from Tire Rack and used one of their recommended local installers. From the time he arrived at the installer he waited 5 hours to get the tires installed. When he complained about the long wait he was told that if he wanted tires installed in a timely manor to buy them from the installer next time.

They should totally contact TireRack to inform them of that situation. TR likely has ways to approach stores doing such practices which could lead to them being removed as a preferred installer.

I had no issues getting Tire Rack purchased tires installed locally, but I can see how service would vary. I'd love to see this mobile service in my area.

We forwarded your concern to a trusted, longtime friend at Tire Rack, and he sent this reply and asked that your friend reach out to Tire Rack’s Customer Care team:
Tire Rack has a team dedicated to our Recommended Installer program, and verifying and managing all the independent shops that make up our list. 5 hour wait and second class service is not what our program is about, and we don’t want installers on the program that deliver this sort of care. We’d love to be able to connect the dots between Inspector71’s neighbor and the installer he used. That’s the only way we can make it right for the neighbor, and solve it for future Tire Rack customers. Any help you can give us there would be appreciated.

Does Tire Rack deliver tires on demand when motorists are stranded on the roads without a spare like Roadside Mobile Tire Service providers do?

I would advise to double think this after the fact that this installer didn't put jack stands under the vehicle after lifting

1 concen i have about quality of your tire balancing.
How do you do quality tire balancing when your vehicle always parks on slightly uneven angle or severely uneven angle ?
