Here I am trying my hand at slate calling for the first time ever. "That don't sound like a chicken, Daddy". I think it's a pretty good review. I wasn't trying to sound like a chicken at all.

I have the rare breed slate call is there a striker that you recommend with it besides the one that came with it im a first year turkey hunter and i need to find a 2nd striker to give these hard headed toms more a reason to come out

Carry many. Just like pots. Different strikers make different tones. As no 2 Turkeys sound the same why should your calls.

Indeed I carry 3 strikers and two slates....plus two mouth calls. I want to use raspy old hen calls with putts, and purrs of young hens to bring those gobblers running.
