Notice anytime artist get together and pay tribute to another artist.. you can always count on LeAnn to be there. Every one knows she will give an incredible performance. I would put her against any Artist and she will not disappoint! I don’t know why people forget about her.. until she performs.. then everyone remembers! I admit I thought she would be a one hit wonder with “Blue”. Jesus Christ was I wrong! She has more rhythm and more blues in her than many rhythm and blues artist.. and more country than most country artist and more pop than most pop artist and more rock And roll than most rock and roll artist! There is no genera of music she can’t sing and have you hanging in every word. This woman should be celebrated and paid tribute to than most artist that I have seen paid tributes to. This woman is so underrated and so under celebrated and most of all so unappreciated. She is so professional.. most of all she doesn’t have to wear risky outfits as a gimmick to get peoples attention. She dresses classy, sings classy,acts classy. I have no doubt when it’s all said and done. She will be on the list of one of the best female singers of our generation!!
A lot of us "daddy's girls" grew up with Fathers who were so dedicated to their careers, not because they loved the business, but because they wanted to give us, his wife and children, everything he could. My dad passed away in 2012 at the age of 74. He was that kind of man and I miss him terribly.

He knew he never wanted to be in dire straights like he had observed watching the miners around the company store (his father managed, employed by the mining company because of his prowess in math).
@Rowan Warren. My dad was an Executive for Mr. Peabody. He was gone every week traveling to mining sites in the western half of this country. He died at the age of 44 from a heart attack. I was 17. Every time I hear this song it strikes a nerve and sheds tears. I am now 61, and wish my children would have known their grandfather. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. This song sounds like it was written based on my relationship with him. Hugs to my coal mining sister.

Many of us growing up in the 70’s and 80’s had fathers who “everything he gave us took all he ever had”. These dad’s had fathers from the Great Depression so they worked so hard to insure their kids never went without; and for many it cost them so much. May we have wisdom on how to balance family and work.

This song cuts hard. The greatest man i never knew, my grandfather who never had a relationship with me or his son my dad. This was caused by my grandmother, who poisoned our minds against him. On the day of his funeral we heard stories about the fact he had played league football, and was the best right back in Swansea. To old for active service in WW2, he was sent to Germany to repatriate. He fed starving kids, and in his 40s was still good enough to keep younger league players out of the Army football team. After he passed I found countless football, cricket and rugby medals he had won in the 20s. Growing up I could have done with a sporting hero, and I was denied one within my family. What this did for me to make my relationship with my Dad and Uncle so important to me. I looked after them both in their final years and I miss them both now they have passed. But to give them comfort in their final years was the least I could do for the lifetime of love and care that they had given me.. RiP guys I love u and miss you xx

She isn't very nice in person. I had to work with her on an event and it was a nightmare. I LOVE her voice though. I think she is extremely talented and I have always been a fan.
This fits the relationship I had with my Dad. If I wrote the circumstances in which he died, people would probably assume the story was a fictional tale. Even 24+ years later, it still feels surreal. Because of my relationship with him as well as my Mom's, I wasn't sad about his passing. When I cried, it was because of my Mom's and my brother's tears. I have been sad a few times since then, but the sadness was because I'm sure he had mental illness that was never addressed. The environment in which I was raised contributed to my mental health struggles. Because I believe mental illness went back several generations within both sides of my family, I made the conscious choice to not have children. (I can't say I was ever truly driven to have children.) Anyway, the only times I've been really sad about my Dad's death have been when I've heard this song. I'm sad because of the relationship I could've had if my Dad had addressed his mental health issues.
I don't know how Leann made it through this song. I'm falling apart before the end of the first stanza! What a beautiful rendition - I guess there is nothing she can't do.
