    The awesome thing about this cockpit is you can add bars to sturdy it up. A bar going across above the pedals and a bar where the shifter mounts to the edge of the plate where the wheel mounts would probably make it rock solid.

    If you have 32 gigs of ddr4 ram, you should be able to get some eye candy going with the upgraded cpu and gpu. Only 16 gigs on no hesi servers in 4k max will definitely stutter like crazy.

    i built my current rig out of scrap wood i had lying around, one thing i can say is that it's a lot sturdier than the rigs i've tested at sim stores. Also a big plus for me is that i only had to buy the carpet for the base, some nuts and bolts and the paint, so it was really cheap. Also i suggest you to invest in some acoustic treatment in the future, also a better lighting setup, and try a different mic posisioning. Proud of the progress you made man, best of luck to you and your family

    Put cross braces in the front with a bolt holding them in the center and you will eliminate ALL side to side wobble.

    Do the wheel and pedal plates have two or three mounting lines? I have the wheelstand from vevor and it is fine with Thrustmaster but Fanatec doesn't mount and even with drilling it would be a bit sketchy.

      Not the same manufacturer vevor just makes cheaper knock off versions of GT Omega and Next Level Racing stuff

    • @storypunman
      @storypunman 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I saw someone says it "looks" the same, but the metal is thinner and cheaper. I also saw the steering plate is flat with no support.

    • @racdude01
      @racdude01 7 месяцев назад

      @@storypunman ya the wheel plate is definitely thinner and has less holes drilled in it which is why he had to drill his own for the moza wheel. Outside of that I can’t determine any other major differences between this and the GT omega. But I wouldn’t be surprised if other parts were also made thinner and cheaper

    • @storypunman
      @storypunman 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@racdude01Yeah, I rather pay a little more for quality and not have any problems in the future. We have an GT Omega ART, and other than some frame flex it is perfect. Still waiting for the extra support bars to come back in stock.

      @@weezyrl4454lmao it's so true we all think we're guna just do it first time. Was definitely way harder than I expected, I knew it would be a learning curve but now that I'm almost 1 year in I can really understand I still have much to learn. The main thing I hope you started with a decent wheel, I'm on a logitech g29 which is great and works especially for learning but as soon as you get to doing tandems and transitions is when the g29 can't compete. I wana get a dd wheel like simagic alpha mini or simucube but I'm broke af and this shit gets expensive lol. One day. Even if it is hard keep going its so rewarding when it comes together.
