If I have a reasonable small rig I just put them into the highest channel mode as that usually gives me the most flexibility rather than trying to work with like 2 channel "range based" colours or functions

Hi Cade - we're dealers for many brands of consoles are have our favorites, including ONYX. With pretty much all of the consoles we recommend, we interface pretty deeply with their teams, but I don't know if I'd say we're "Partnered" with ONYX....in the sense that if we found another professional-grade console that we liked better, we'd have to switch. But ONYX is such a good fit for many of our customers because of the ease-of-PC use, cost options, etc.
Vista is sadly a console that we believe is past it's prime. It used to be a really, really cool console, but in more recent years we've watched it veer from it's original focus (of being a highly visual, creative console), and we don't recommend it for that reason. It's also really expensive compared to other options in the professional range. Anyways, if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to email us at gear@learnstagelighting.com and we'lll, recommend the right hardware/console for your needs!
