Also, children still have rights, and in fact under US law they have extra rights to privacy that adults don’t have. That’s why the media can’t release a ton of information about the incident. Obviously, it’s tragic and terrible that a sexual assault could happen at a school, a place where children and their parents should have a reasonable expectation of safety. Depending on the efforts made by the school before and after the assaults, they very well could be liable for failing to perform its duty to adequately protect students. However, it’s also possible that the school did everything within its power at the time, based on the laws and policies of the state/district. A judge should determine that. Conservatives do everything in their power to undermine public education and still have the gall to act outraged and concerned when the system fails the children in its charge.

it would have been funny if it was like "1+1=trans, 1+2=trans" because both of those, in a binary and trinary system respectively, would make the same result: 10. Instead they did it in trinary and semi-octal, which are both infinitely less funny. Edit joke: every trans person is a 10

At first it was a little awkward because a cis man would walk out of a stall and I'd have a moment of panic thinking "wait, did I read the sign right?" Oh, I heard about the assaults in this instance. Apparently the girl who was assaulted in the bathroom had previously met with the attacker in that same bathroom for sexual activities. Learning that the two had a relationship prior was part of what helped me recognize this to be real, because most targets of sexual assault knew the attacker beforehand. This certainly had nothing to do with anyone being trans or genderfluid because the attacker and the target had agreed to meet in one case and the other happened in a classroom. Oh, I heard about the assaults in this instance. Apparently the girl who was assaulted in the bathroom had previously met with the attacker in that same bathroom for sexual activities. Learning that the two had a relationship prior was part of what helped me recognize this to be real, because most targets of sexual assault knew the attacker beforehand.
