hey queen! girl you have done it again. constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. i’d say i’m surprised but i know who you are. i’ve seen it up close and personal. girl you make me so proud.
It is sherbet. I always wear a base and top coat with my breathable shades just because I'm used to it. I just don't feel like my manicure is complete without them!
Tfs!!! Chick... whenever you are ready to change your cream mani's.. pull out your toppers and check em out and keep track of the ones you like then remove and do your new mani ;-) it's a Gr8 way to see how they look without wasting them on an entire mani... one nail per topper saves on your polish
I got some breathables to use mostly on my toes. I was curious about their claims about being vitamin infused and was surprised when I took it off that my nails did actually look healthier. I don’t use top/base coat with them because that was part of the appeal for painting my toenails. I like less steps and plus toenail polish doesn’t like to chip much so I’m not concerned about needing base/top coat. If I do a manicure with them I’d definitely use base and top coat! I took the plastic off the lids because I like how the cap feels in my hands without it 😅
10:50 “who would I be if I didn’t have the most insufferable complaint about something” GIRL YAS PREACH QUEEN I don’t even care what the complaints are, I just vibe with this so much
I think the plastic on the Orly caps are to keep the rubberized cap clean and fresh for the user. Yes, I also say "Sherbert" Yes, I also use base and top even when polishes market them as not necessary. It just feels right! Lol I really enjoy watching your videos!
boy howdy you gave us some homework in the comments today. 1) it's sherbeRt 100% you are correct 2) the pinks are named perfectly, you are 100% wrong 3) you and Kelli Marissa say you don't like Spring collections and me being a little prep over here is like well then goth girl friends, pass them to meeee lol great review as always!
I take the plastic off the Breathable caps because I don't like how it feels in my hand. I love the feel and grip of the Orly rubbery caps, so I wish they had made the caps a different color to differentiate them, instead of covering it in crinkly plastic.
Orly Breathable is the only Orly I can safely wear due to allergies. I skipped this collection because I can pretty much dupe it from my collection. I love it though.
I've personally never bought any of the breatheables and wouldn't unless there was just a really interesting or unique shade - they're the same as any other orly creme in my mind. also love that your complaints were all just name-related, lol. I checked and apparently 'sherbert' is the misspelling, and 'sherbet' is correct - but I totally called it sherBERT growing up and still do
I’ve been watching your videos here and there and I like your content, especially this video. I watched someone else on here swatch this collection. She had very short nails and is worse than me at painting her nails. She stated it took 3-4 coats per polish and couldn’t recommend them. I thought, dang this can’t be right. Therefore, I’m very thankful to see this swatch & review! I just subscribed! Edit: I say sherbert!😂 Also, I took the plastic off my first bottle because I didn’t realize why it was there. Now I leave them on so I know it’s a breathable before I pick it up. I sometimes wear mine with top & base coat, if I’m in a hurry I don’t.
Love your swatch and comments about this collection. I have fair skin, and I am the same way about that sherbet, I don’t think they look good on me either. I do say sherbert as well, I think that may be midwest thing!!! I have to put a base & top coat on as well, like those Essie Gel couture polish say no base coat!
Bert. I’ve only had one Breathable from an Ipsy bag about 10 years ago, maybe when they first brought them out. If it had a wrap, I took it off. Don’t have it anymore.
Do you think this collection would be a good "sister collection" for Orly's Electric Escape? These feel like a pastel version of that collection, in a good way!
I’m with you on the Sherbert. (Spellcheck is telling me it’s “sherbet”!) And that’s what everyone calls it here in my part of Texas. Maybe that’s how it’s pronounced in UK or Canada?
I'm team "sherbet" because I'm a language nerd and this makes more sense etymologically. It comes from sorbet in French, serbet in Turkish (also my first language is Portuguese and it is "Sorvete" in PT). But sherbert does roll nicely off the tongue LOL. I wear orly breathable polishes with base and top coat too, but my mom uses them on their own and likes them.
I always take the plastic wrap off my Breathable caps because I like the feel of the rubberized cap more. Although, It is nice to be able to pick out the Breathable polishes easily in store displays because of the wraps. They obviously thought a lot of people would remove the wraps because they come perforated, It's sheBERT, I feel pretentious saying sherBIT....
I can't wait for Color Pass to come, but I wish that I was getting the Sweet Retreat. I got some .37 oz ORLLY Breathables on sale at my store yesterday and I loooooved the ones that I got!
Sherbert all the way, it sounds better to me that way but I'm not sure which one is actually correct lol. And I love your complaints. If that's all you have to complain about for this collection, then it's a damn good collection! 😊
Oh the Sherbe(r)t discussion - I couldn‘t resist and consult Dr Google - here‘s what Merriam Webster comes up with: What to Know Sherbet, pronounced "SHER-but," is the usual word for the frozen sweet dessert made from fruit or fruit juices. Sherbert, with an additional r in the second syllable and pronounced "SHER-bert," is less commonly used. In Britain, sherbet is a sweet powder used to make a drink bubbly or eaten by itself. - so go Sherbert go 😌
I grew up with sherbert, but also came from a Spanish speaking household. And today I learned it is sher-"bet" and not sher-"bay" as I've been pronouncing the "correct" term since I found out. 😅 Me over pronouncing because sherbet just doesn't make sense to me. Google does say "often referred to as sherbert in the United States", so you know what, let's all call it what we want. Either way, I love sherbe(r)t!
I peel the plastic because at first I assumed you had to to open the bottle. It wasn’t until I got the Lisa Frank collab that I realized they are intentionally decorative
Lovely colors! I always wear a base coat and top coat with the Orly Breathable nail polishes, and I do not remove the plastic from the top either. Also....I have never understood why people insist on mispronouncing (and misspelling) sherbet. There is no second 'R'! LOL
Great swatch pics! I wasnt sold on these before but that green is calling...👀 I always thought sherbert was a Midwest pronunciation cause that's how my family said it when i was growing up. After doing some googling however, it seems to be just a common USA mispronunciation. Sherbet is correct, (it comes from the Persian Sharbat) but in USA sherbert is acceptable as well. Also, always top coat. Even orly breathable. Some of us work with our hands and want the mani to last more than 1 day. 😆
It is SherBERT I will die on this hill with you. Idk the only spring collection that got my money was Sally and her stupid Peeps textured polish lol (idk if i love or hate them yet)
I say sherbert, and I was born in the Midwest and raised in Florida. Pretty sure my New England mother says “sherbet,” but really no one says either of these words because who eats sherbert???? Also, I think sorbet is an entirely different dessert - like, it’s more finely grained? Like the difference between ice cream and gelato? Am I making that up? Anyway, I like this color palette and really wish this had been the summer Color Pass. It’s so much better than the pastel rainbow from last spring, too.
SherbeRt 100% these rainbow spring collections get me every time. The Essie one, ILNP, Holo Taco.. now this. Even china glaze did a semi decent one i think? But the formulas looked a lil sus
I’ve seen a comparison of the taffy color to Kaleidoscope Eyes and they sure appear to be dupes. I like this collection, but I bought Color Pass and that is it for the year. From spoilers I’ve seen for Summer CP, I am really wishing I had this Breathable collection instead (I am incredibly tired of the shimmer/pearlescent finishes…def on overload). Doesn’t the sealed cap plastic prevent people in retail stores from trying out polish? I don’t want a polish where someone has been using the brush. I wear Breathables like regular polish, and it is sherbeRt for me 😊
Unfortunately I am among those for whom Orly takes 100 years to dry. No matter how thin the coats it'll even start to bubble up on me. I still own a hand full of Orlys and I do wear them but l wish that didn't happen. Love this collection and the color story!
There’s sherbert and then theres sorbet (sore bay), but sherbet is a no for me. It sounds stupid, i dont care if it’s correct or not. I wear any and all nail polishes with a base and top coat. Idc if they say either isnt needed, they’re wrong 😂
The logical part of my brain knows that the correct way to say it is sherbet, but my heart always wants to go with sherbert, so I just say both so that I'm never wrong
I take the plastic off of the caps (even the Lisa Frank ones 😶) because what’s the point of having a rubberized cap if there’s plastic covering it? And I’m team sherbert😂
I won't say it, and I won't eat it!! Ha, ha!! I prefer full-fat, creamy ice cream for my frozen desserts. But can we talk about "wash" vs. "warsh"?????? 🤣
I've never tried Orly, but I'm interested in the Breathable line for the moisturizing aspect! Cream formulas aren't something I tend to reach for though so this collection isn't for me. Give me all the glitter please!
Such a pretty collection! RE: Sherbert.. Are we sure they didn't mean sorbet? ("sor-bay") instead of Sherbert?... 'Are you Sure-bay'? I think they are getting their treats mixed up lol
SherBERT 🎉
Haha I’m definitely team Sherbert😂
P.S. I ALWAYS wear base and top coat. I feel like they’re necessary.
#teamsherbert we all know that the second r is invisible
hey queen! girl you have done it again. constantly raising the bar for us all and doing it flawlessly. i’d say i’m surprised but i know who you are. i’ve seen it up close and personal. girl you make me so proud.
Sherbert
I love hearing your nitpicks!😆
Your commentary never fails to crack me up 😂
now I want some rainbow sherbeRt 😋
I live for your complaints and I love how you describe that blue!
New Englander here, and we say « sherbert » however we drop and add an r all the time 🤣😂
Team Sherbert! Cute collection
Bert: Hey Ernie, do you want some ice cream?
Ernie: Sure, Bert!
Bert: Sorry, We only have ice cream.
It is sherbet. I always wear a base and top coat with my breathable shades just because I'm used to it. I just don't feel like my manicure is complete without them!
A very pretty collection, I don't have any from the Breathable line. I have always said Sherbert, you are correct...
Tfs!!! Chick... whenever you are ready to change your cream mani's.. pull out your toppers and check em out and keep track of the ones you like then remove and do your new mani ;-) it's a Gr8 way to see how they look without wasting them on an entire mani... one nail per topper saves on your polish

Same-use them on my toes to minimize steps!😊
@@greengirlbc6219 they work pretty well for that don’t they? 😄
@@foxbearchillinbytheriver Yep!👍🏽😊
Sherbert gang here! This was a very cute collection but very basic colors. The lime green/yellow looks fun and a bit more unique.
I always peel off the plastic from caps. I hate it. Glad you reminded me of how much I hate it so I can complain about it again.
Most debinatly Rainbow sherbert!!!
Your “complaints” are my favorite 😅
10:50 “who would I be if I didn’t have the most insufferable complaint about something”
GIRL YAS PREACH QUEEN
I don’t even care what the complaints are, I just vibe with this so much

I agree with you. I pronounce it Sherbert. We grew up the same.
I’m 100% team sherbert!
boy howdy you gave us some homework in the comments today.
1) it's sherbeRt 100% you are correct
2) the pinks are named perfectly, you are 100% wrong
3) you and Kelli Marissa say you don't like Spring collections and me being a little prep over here is like well then goth girl friends, pass them to meeee lol
great review as always!
I take the plastic off the Breathable caps because I don't like how it feels in my hand. I love the feel and grip of the Orly rubbery caps, so I wish they had made the caps a different color to differentiate them, instead of covering it in crinkly plastic.
Thanks for the comparison of purples because I wanted to know how they compared to synthetic symphony and crash the party as well
Sher-bert.
I use top and base always.
I feel like Orly has been killing it all year! Better than OPI and Essie. Except for that weird metallic collection.
Sherberrrrrt!
Sherbert!🎉
I’m 100% in the Sherbert pronunciation side. 😂 but the typo on one of them would also bother me a little 😂
Also that greeny one is amazing 😮
I call it sherbeRt. I got a few breathables during a $5 sale, I always top and base coat❤.
I'm from Brooklyn NY, so I drop the R where it belongs and add it where it doesn't. Of course it's sherbert.
Sherbert all the way
Orly Breathable is the only Orly I can safely wear due to allergies. I skipped this collection because I can pretty much dupe it from my collection. I love it though.
I think sherBERT might be a Midwest thing because I say the same thing and have had the same discussion 😂
I say, "SherBERT"🎉🎉🎉
I've personally never bought any of the breatheables and wouldn't unless there was just a really interesting or unique shade - they're the same as any other orly creme in my mind. also love that your complaints were all just name-related, lol. That plastic cap wrap triggers something in me and I feel compelled to tear it off. 🤣
Swap the name tags so it makes sense for the pinks. I agree
This pink looks AMAZING on you
Love your swatch and comments about this collection. I have fair skin, and I am the same way about that sherbet, I don’t think they look good on me either. Thats so cool they are halal certified! I really want to support them now!
I've always said sherbert too lol
Do you think this collection would be a good "sister collection" for Orly's Electric Escape? These feel like a pastel version of that collection, in a good way!
I’m with you on the Sherbert. (Spellcheck is telling me it’s “sherbet”!) And that’s what everyone calls it here in my part of Texas. Maybe that’s how it’s pronounced in UK or Canada?
Another comment to add to the algy, I say sher-bert but I like to say sorbet when I want to feel fancy.
I've always said sherbert. Probably always will. 😆
SherBERT 😊💯
I'm team "sherbet" because I'm a language nerd and this makes more sense etymologically. It comes from sorbet in French, serbet in Turkish (also my first language is Portuguese and it is "Sorvete" in PT). But sherbert does roll nicely off the tongue LOL.

Sherbert gang rise up ✌️😎
It isn't easy being green...but it is! 😂 And that blue--yes, that's the one with the most appeal.
I always take the plastic wrap off my Breathable caps because I like the feel of the rubberized cap more. Although, It is nice to be able to pick out the Breathable polishes easily in store displays because of the wraps. They obviously thought a lot of people would remove the wraps because they come perforated,
It's sheBERT, I feel pretentious saying sherBIT....
Sherbert 100%, I'm from California if you're trying to map the etymology. I know Sorbet is trendier as a word.
I can't wait for Color Pass to come, but I wish that I was getting the Sweet Retreat. I got some .37 oz ORLLY Breathables on sale at my store yesterday and I loooooved the ones that I got!
I don’t generally buy cremes, but these are tempting! I hate the plastic on the caps, as it ruins the excellent texture of the actual cap.
Sherbert all the way, it sounds better to me that way but I'm not sure which one is actually correct lol. And I love your complaints. If that's all you have to complain about for this collection, then it's a damn good collection! 😊

Yes, they should switch those pink ones' names, and they should get their spelling on point! 😂
I say sorbet because I’m fancy.
Just kidding. I say both because I genuinely don’t know the answer 😂
It is SherBERT I will die on this hill with you. Idk the only spring collection that got my money was Sally and her stupid Peeps textured polish lol (idk if i love or hate them yet)
To go slightly off subject, but did you get the Holo Taco's Royalty appreciation trio? 😏
I say sherbert, and I was born in the Midwest and raised in Florida. Pretty sure my New England mother says “sherbet,” but really no one says either of these words because who eats sherbert????

I'm curious if there is a geographical correlation. Alabama says sherbeRt too.
Team sherBERT 😅

It's pronounced SHERBERT😂 I wear top and base even with breathable just a habit for me
It’s sherBERT. 😂 I don’t care how it’s spelled or the proper pronunciation. I like sherBERT cuz it’s just better.
Sorry team sherbet 🫡 but my mom says sherbert
