The point is that Gaia fulfills a wish and then the payment is that the person turns into a Guardian after death. The counter force doesn't just turn Heroic Spirits into Counter Guardians, the Counter Force CAN summon servants to work for it as a guardian, but there is a huge difference between an Heroic Spirit working for the Counter Force for a specific purpose and a real Counter Guardian that is a literal slave of the world. @@scummywizard3561 that's kind of trash low key the disparity and power aren't they supposed to be the same person but with slightly different backstories
Prototype Arthur, as the name suggests, comes from what FSN was originally going to be. An otome game starring a normal high school girl as king Arthur’s master (Imagine Shirou and Saber, but genderswapped). They were afraid of it being unpopular so they changed it into what we have today. Not much is known about Ayaka (the female protagonist of Fate prototype). But here’s what we have on proto Arthur. His Excalibur has 13 seals placed by every knight of the round table. This is to restrict his power, because a full powered proto Excalibur is f**king broken. To unleash a seal, a certain condition must be fulfilled. And this is why in fgo, when proto Arthur uses his np, you can hear proto Merlin saying the names of the RTK. His personality differs a lot from Artoria’s, Artoria is more stoic and Arthur is the typical charming white knight. So charming in fact, that his version of Mordred went full on Yandere on him that he destroyed Camelot, not because proto Arthur refused to give him the throne, but because proto Mordred wanted Arthur all for himself. He also had an alter form just like Artoria, and that went on to inspire the current version of Gilgamesh. An egotistical self-centered jerk that calls everyone mongrels. But that idea never came into fruition. And yeah, that’s basically all I know about him. There’s probably information about Ayaka that I missed, but meh, I did my best.

How it went in the Camelot Singurality: The above statement, but Bedi refuses to do his King's last request and spends centuries as a(n immortal) wanderer, wherein his action (or rather inaction) led Artoria to become the Goddess Rhongomyniad and enact her plans.

People in the comments that thinks that Artoria was a good leader scares me. If anything, she was a good administrator, that's the only thing I will give her.
No offence, but Fujimaru is literally made to be a self insert for the audience. There’s barely anything there to analyze. Mash would probably be a better choice.
I love how there is a lot "different people" in this comment section that will completely disrespect Saber, *AND* strangly, they were created 1 month ago. Dude, you hate her so much that you feel the need to create multiple accounts? lol
tbf tho... not really? They were in two completely different circumstances and both worked just as hard. Gil would have never been able hold Camelot together with his attitude(and it can't be forgotten he only became a good king later on in life) and it's debatable if Arturia could have held out Babylon long enough for Chaldea to show up
@@darknessknows1235 I disagree, Babylonia was facing annihilation and Gil told his people directly that they would all die and nothing could stop it. Yet, they all still remained loyal and were ready to doe with him (notice how no one even considered joining Tiamat for a chance at a new life). Saber? Her people started to despise her for the logical action of taking some resources (Sabet had really bad PR lol) Also unlike Saber, Gilgamesh has shown a perfect understanding of human hearts as well as his own feelings. He would never have treated Mordred the way Artoria did not would he have let the whole Lancelot situation get out of hand that way it did.
@@JoshuaDMarti I agree with your point about Morgan being the mastermind, but honestly Gilgamesh (the older version from Grand/Order) would never have fallen for any of her schemes. He would have explained to Mordred from the beginning what the problem was (rather than give some half assed, infuriating answer that is sure to sow resentment between him and the ONLY other person that could dethrone him). Lancelot was enraged and only acted like that because Artoria could not read the room and punish him instead (or at least punished him and Guinevere together) Lancelot explained this in Fate/Zero. Gil would have seen through Agravain quite quickly He could actually inspire a deeper sense of loyalty in his people than Saber, Grand Order being my case in point. So widespread dissatisfaction with his rule would be highly unlikely. And lastly, there's no way he would have casually left Mordred (again the one person with the right to actually challenge you and resents you) in charge of the kingdom while away. I like Artoria, but there's a reason Iskander, Gilgamesh, and even Richard the Lionheart disagree with her way of kingship. Gilgamesh's title as the First King is not just for show. It took a primordial deity to end his kingdom, not some petty rebellion.
@@JoshuaDMarti Still tho, I still think Saber has any excuse on how she handled Mordred. You don't need to be a demigod or have clairvoyance to have handled that situation better.
One thing I don't understand. If Artoria is so awesome, why does she need magic to be strong? In the novel it is said that she couldn't win the baseball match because without magic, she was even weaker than Rin.
Think that has to do with her being a heroic spirit. She needs magic to maintain her physical form and prowess; the lack of it will make them weak, and I believe it was a recurring issue because Shiro was still a novice wizard.
In fate series she is not alive exactly and was summoned as a heroic spirit to fight in the 4th and 5th holy grail war to maintain her form she needed a supply of magic that shirou could not supply to keep her at full strength
1. The baseball match is more because she keeps swing her bat like a sword instead of, you know, an actual bat. It’s already impressive enough that she actually managed to hit those balls with that swinging technique. 2. Artoria’s strength comes from a magical ability called mana burst, she gathers high amounts of energy and release it in one fell swoop. She’s not strong because muscle, no, she’s strong because magic. 3. Even though she has less strength without using mana bursts, Artoria is still a servant. And a pretty high classed one at that. The weakest possible servant with E rank on all of their stats is 10 times stronger then an average human. In her weakest form, with Shirou as her master, she’s strength rank C. 30 times stronger then an average human.
Love how Artoria's entire development it's about accepting that she was a bad leader and that there was nothing to do about it and keep going with her life, yet people like to pretend she was actually good.

@@TsiahIV There's a lot to enjoy from deep analysis of characters either misunderstood, hard to understand, finally more brought to light. I love it so again thank you and hope to see more when they come to mine or requested.
@@TsiahIV hey I got a question if saber was about to die then why did Gaia come to her aid to make her a living heroic spirit when it could have just let her die and then record her into the throne of heroes normally
@@zacharyhood1651 Gaia's contracts needs to be done before the person dies (ex: Shirou did his pact with Gaia, received a power boost, and once he died he became a counter guardian. Okita Alter is an Okita Souji from an alternate timeline that through her sister's prayers was turned into a Counter Guardian after she died in her birth so she could have a "new life").
That's why Gaia didn't let her die, if it did she would just become a regular heroic spirit, but if she wins a grail as a living servant THEN Gaia would finally let her die and she would become the "Counter Guardian King Arthur", a forever slave of the world.
@@kolk5994 okay so that's why she went to Avalon after her death because Gaia couldn't fulfilled her wish thus rendering the contract broken technically making it a good thing that she couldn't attain a grail

My favorite vids you make
I had no idea you made this video brother Tsiah
Ah this is one of your best vids. -Not my bias for Saber or anything- but fr you did a great job with this one.
Love to see these

I see the beautiful Artoria i click.

Saber the OG servant who started it all whether it be the first route of vv or one of the main characters of the prequel she not only paved a path for Britain but also for fate and nasuverse.

Where is my Kojiro Sasaki video!?
That's what I'm waiting for
True
One of my problems is that fate/zero nullified alot of her character. Without fate zero her character would be alot better
Lemme grab my popcorn real quick
Only good thing about Zero Saber was seeing her in a suit, other than that Zero Saber is absolute horse shit
I disagree I like her character in zero and stay/night and I think it's consistent, but you are free to disagree, have a nice day.
@@MrInuhanyou123 exactly
@@MrInuhanyou123 true, I honestly think zero did the best they could to expand on her character, the fate route was made to be pretty self-contained but they manage to find something that could legitimately expand her character and made sense in the lore, it's not necessary to understand the story but it's very cool seeing what made her hate herself so much that she wants to use what she thinks is an omnipotent wish making machine to put someone else on the throne as opposed to just fixing the mistake and getting a second chance (something that I originally wondered when reading the anime an vn first)
and about the small discrepancies between zero and stay/night thankfully the anime adaptations by ufotable add some things to make the two stories more connected, which is another reason they should adapt the fate route
Proto Arthur still clears
damn didnt even know you came out with a new video
Great video
sir i regret nothing i got the visual novel just to do the saber route and nothing else
Fact.
Same
Oh yes the mascot, the OG waifu and the birth of MANY different versions of her, Artoria is a character who has a lot going on but all in all, she is still a cool character........That being said, DAMN I know why my one friend likes Big boobed Artoria, I like Prototype Arthur, Prototype Merlin but not like main Merlin and everytime I hear the name Artorius, I will always think about the Dark Souls one and the Tales of Berseria one lol. Sweet analysis!
Alright! Let's give it up for the poster girl of the franchise herself!
I have a question is there any information on King Arthur you know the male version of artoria in fate because I know there is a male version of her that I saw in Grand order and prototype
yeah, that's arguably the original "artoria" aka arthur, his noble phantasm is basically a nuke while artoria's just a missle.
@@scummywizard3561 that's kind of trash low key the disparity and power aren't they supposed to be the same person but with slightly different backstories
@@gungamerplays9962 they have different personalities tho

Its funny that Artoria be bad for baseball, despite to her impressive skills with the sword. 😂
When does the ENGLISH dub come out for Heavens Feel III? I've been waiting for decades
sorry for the late answer, currently it already came out and it was great ;)
@@yurineri2227 wtf! Wow. I cant believe i missed it. Where can i find and watch /buy it online in English?
@@kenyonscales7401 lol, yeah I know how you feel, I also missed it for a while,
the digital edition is pretty easily available and you can get it on the Microsoft store, you can rent it for 5 dollars and buy it permanently for 15 dollars
if you want the physical edition the blue-ray was also made available recently (although it is considerably more expensive being 40 dollars), I can't link you to the external site that sells them on youtube but if you are interested then the trailer from aniplex for the official release of the blue-ray has the site that officially sells them in the description (if you want to look at the video's description than the name of the video is "Fate/stay night [Heaven's Feel] THE MOVIE III. spring song Blu-ray Release Trailer")
and if the official releases aren't available in your country I personally think it's morally okay for you to pirate it, you can watch the movie in high quality on gogoanime for example
anyway, I hope that helps (^▽^)
Thanks for this video.

Shooot it'll be dope to see a undying mind on the kid yoh asakura from shaman king👽
The king is here
Artoria is a cinnamon roll :3
If possible can you do a undying mind on Medea
I second this. I feel the Witch of Betrayal is one of the most commonly misunderstood characters in the franchise, save for the hardcore fans like Tsiah, Dai, and fanfic authors who've written extensively about her.
Can you do a Marble Phantasm lesson?
Can you do a timeline breakdown of the fate universe?
I finally got around to watching this video.
is this really an "undying mind"? This felt more like recounting of the character history and less of an analysis.
Whats the outro music? Please help, much appreciated.
Great video but could you go back to doing some servant profiles please.
I thought Bedevere changed his mind and wanted to give the sword back to Artoria?
@@MrInuhanyou123 oh ok, did that trigger the singularity or the other way arount?

@@MrInuhanyou123 i think i missed that detail
How it should've normally went: Artoria/"Arthur" asks Bedivere to give Excalibur back to the Lady of the Lake before dying (and becoming a Heroic Spirit).
How it went in the Camelot Singurality: The above statement, but Bedi refuses to do his King's last request and spends centuries as a(n immortal) wanderer, wherein his action (or rather inaction) led Artoria to become the Goddess Rhongomyniad and enact her plans.

Why she wished that she doesn’t become a king in zero or am i mixing things ?

I wish Zero didn't weaken Artoria's power and make her regret her whole life. I feel Gen Urobuchi really favored Gilgamesh as he made him seem like the only true king.
CasGil is a true king, but not Archer Gil. That’s my problem with Zero. Both Archer Gil and Alex bashed on Artoria but both of them were pretty shit as well. Alex focused on conquering and died at a young age. He didn’t even have enough time to prove his competency as a ruler. I feel like the author of Zero really hate Artoria for some reasons.
@@MaidenlessScrub I've heard that Nasu himself asked Urobuchi to bother Artoria but Urobuchi couldn't bear to bother Artoria's character, whose background is quite tragic. In fact we know gil only sees artoria as a toy in SN but at zero gil recognizes artoria's worthiness and wants to make her his wife :/
I advocate Alter supremacy!
People in the comments that thinks that Artoria was a good leader scares me.
If anything, she was a good administrator, that's the only thing I will give her.

Fujimaru analysis‼️‼️‼️
No offence, but Fujimaru is literally made to be a self insert for the audience. There’s barely anything there to analyze. Mash would probably be a better choice.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government!
I love how there is a lot "different people" in this comment section that will completely disrespect Saber, *AND* strangly, they were created 1 month ago.
Dude, you hate her so much that you feel the need to create multiple accounts? lol
Iskandar is better, so he deserves an undying mind as welm
I really dislike her character the worst character in fate imo
Honestly, Bbylonia for me showed why Gil was a WAYYYY better king than Saber.
tbf tho...
Saber? Her people started to despise her for the logical action of taking some resources (Sabet had really bad PR lol)
Also unlike Saber, Gilgamesh has shown a perfect understanding of human hearts as well as his own feelings.
Gil would have seen through Agravain quite quickly
He could actually inspire a deeper sense of loyalty in his people than Saber, Grand Order being my case in point.
@@JoshuaDMarti I understand your point, I personally still think Gil would have done better, but they indeed lived under different circumstances.
Worst King ever, decent waifu. Iconic design, ironically unorganized now tho.
Love how Artoria's entire development it's about accepting that she was a bad leader and that there was nothing to do about it and keep going with her life, yet people like to pretend she was actually good.
@@ontothemartin4684 Someone better read/reread the Fate Route lol
@@ontothemartin4684right be forced to rule a crumbling kingdom at the age of 15 definitely what a bad person how dare she does what she forced to do :/
@@sadsworth4605 She literally was not forced btw. The whole point of her backstory is that she willingly took that decision just to mess up hard later lmao. TL;DR Read Garden of Avalon
@@brucewayne8550 I already did since like 1 year ago, and it doesnt change anything. Garden if Avalon itself tells us how much of a not competent ruler and leader Artoria was, so idk what is your point. Gilgamesh and Iskandar are miles over her, but, well, who cares if she was a bad ruler, at the end her character development goes about just letting it go, but she really was at fault for many things during her rule, and how she piorly handled her knights.
@@brucewayne8550 oh, cmon, it's always the same for Artoria fanboys like you. Next time consume the series without the sinping glassed ok? No, Garden of Avalin does not defend Artoria, if anythinf, it just keeps howing her lack of charisma and leadership. Merlin himself states that she does not behave like a leader to begin with and that was going to led to her downfall. And zero is not wrong to begin with, the only thing wrong about Zero was trying tu push the "Iskandar is right" agenda qhen the point was that neither Artoria nor Iskandar were right, both were equally wrong and the fate of their kingdoms shows it.
Only Gilgamesh is the ibly one we can really say did a good job as a King, and that's ofc after his journey for immortality.
Artoria was NOT a good king, and her own fate states it pretty clearly on the early days through Shirou's dreams.
